I got off radiance april 6th and the best wifi was in the business center deck 7. We did colon Panama and Columbia but wifi did not work well often. Go sit near the router deck 7 by aft elevators. We had great Mdr service for a change. Food I thought was excellent and better than oasis. Fish crispy and steak cooked perfectly etc. I hope your service is as good as mine was. Cant wait as I just got off and had a very good cruise though one day rocking.

I've been there for coffee, never looked at the name. It was near the Havana area. It is there. I tried the Havana area once for a shot of their cuban coffee which only the Havana area has. Idk if they still do it but the coffee shop also had a give away of the daily compass if you need one and some kind of daily puzzle. It's there. I looked at the deck plans. Actually there were 2 places that had coffee in the morning right there close I think one was the plaza bar and the bigger main one is the ocean plaza and it also had the ice cream and milk shakes. I could be wrong looking at the deck plans but there were 2 places. I had cheers and got coffee every morning on vista.

It seems we are on the same cruise. Be sure to check the roll call. I always drive down the day before. Houston often has lanes closed for road work and accidents. It's always something. I sign up for the earliest time to board and have lunch. If you get stuck for a extra 2 hours the day of boarding imagine your stress level and worry if you will make it on time. They have been working on widening roads especially south of houston and closing lanes forever.

Sounds like I'm also on your cruise. I was just reminded for journey cruises no priority boarding and debark .. or for tender so I'm glad no tenders. Not even the hotel. Did you book them all thru carnival. I want to spend more time at the locks in Panama but that's as far as I've gotten in my thinking. What did you plan in aruba and curacao?

Carnival only has one rate you can price match after final payment. I get what you are saying but its upgrade or nothing with rcl.

You can get sick from the food but without follow up there is no way of knowing what food. Over 50 of us on the same roll call all got sick the exact same night last sept on liberty. One said his doctor said e.coli, another lady was in the hospital who was elderly. I only got off in one port and didnt eat in the port. It was from something I ate. I was on b2b and couldnt immediately be tested by my doctor as I stayed on the 2nd week not having read so many others also got sick. If was just me I wouldnt have thought much, but too many others got sick same night. It can happen. Many called rcl who didnt want to do anything, was it covid, no, well sorry ok bye.

It's only $6 different onboard, so I'd be ok paying $6 more if they would give me a 2nd time of either izumi or hitachi. I get bored with their food so a change is nice.

Is the Hitachi lunch new or I just never noticed it before. One oddity I wasnt charged 18% gratuity on this but I also booked izumi for a dinner and was charged 18%. Both were shown as $28.99. Only the izumi dinner charged me the 18%. Not the Hitachi lunch. So I'd still owe a tip. If i booked either on day 1 or day 2 i wonder if i could do a diamond plus bogo?

Is it a actual Hitachi lunch or is it the 3 course izumi meal. It says you can order a poke bowl and then it also says here is a sample menu with higher prices. This is on Allure if it makes a difference ... I usually book other things but lately been venturing to try pay venues. I do love poke but doubt its fresh like it says, bet its from frozen. I lived in hawaii 10 years and love fresh poke. Had it as a appetizer once I think Giovanni or Jamie's and it was definitely from frozen. Havent had it on rcl since that time. Idk that specific lot but the lot in miami for oasis filled up, was full, couldnt take more cars if you hadnt prepaid. Galveston it's also cheaper to prepay. The closer covered lot fills first. Most terminals have a special place for hc and suites and key to sit apart from the rest. Depending when you arrive might have a line for suites. They did board first. Galveston then called diamond plus, then diamond last 2 times I've been there. They dont call pinnacles because they board with suites. Yes they allow you to drop off passengers like your wife and luggage and then go park .. takes extra time of course.

Not every bar may have kracken rum or whatever. A guy at my table went to another bar to get his pre dinner drink made.

I hadnt even thought of this, or kinda forgot they suspend it for journeys cruises. My jan 14 day is a journey cruise. It's like being penalized because it's a specially marked cruise. Not sure what if anything is added to make it a journey cruise. Idk we even have a huge amount of plat and diamond, seems like a lot got it with casino offer. I like early debark.

These are good pictures of the abyss which is the huge purple slide at the back of the ship. Allure doesnt have it but the other oasis class ships do have it somewhat blocking your view of the ocean in the aft. You have to look thru this slide. I see nothing wrong with booking the central park balconies or the boardwalk balconies. I was hoping for less sun as I'm not supposed to get sun but the sun still hits them. For me these are better than ocean view balconies... each to his own. I'm solo and dont want to sit out there alone, I'd go up to the pool deck to sit out and read.

Well you are still back from the dive pool, more across from the rock climbing wal,, even the last cabin on boardwalk, which is hard to book. Everyone wants to be at the end with more of a view. I dont have a view from other ships with the abyss. Which is the huge purple slide in the aft. Only suites are really all the way aft. Unless you got more than $15k to spend they are out. This is from the very last boardwalk on allure .. still not all the way aft. But as close as I could get for a non suite price. Looking back toward the aft. One is from inside the diamond lounge. The inside boardwalk balconies dont do all the way to the end but close enough.

You cant fall from a balcony unless you climb up on something deliberately to get over the rail. Just to relieve your anxiety. Unless you get drunk or crazy you cant fall. People get drunk and think they are superman. Like I said with my sister she says watching moving water makes her feel dizzy yet she loves to cruise. Lol she is happy in a inside near a elevator! She loves to dress up, the shows, etc. Not everyone has to love watching the water.
