Which is why I booked the 10 day radiance and the newly out 8 day on harmony. Dont know if I'm even a big coco cay fan, but just for the different port. Plus the 14 day on carnival because of the ports. If you want coco cay I'd book sooner rather than later. The price out of Galveston is sure to go up.

I hope he likes sports. We had pro football all day sunday, then 2 days of soccer. Saturday was all day of college football. A few shows and movies at night. I just got off allure and they were scanning cards for pinnacles standing in line who get the same perks as suites. For the aqua show. They did have a back row roped off for seating for suites and pinnacles. I thought suites had a concierge who booked shows, not that they didnt have to book at all.

They almost need more tiers or dividing them up so higher in the tier can get more. We had 179 pinnacles first week and 130 2nd week. They were kicked out of other lounges in the morning and only got 1 lunch and 1 dinner in ck. Seems they had some lounge in the evening but I could have heard wrong. Couldnt find a place to sit if you wanted specialty coffee around 9 am in diamond lounge. Nice lounge but sure not made for over 1200 who had access. With cruise prices going up imo fewer will be whipping thru the ranks and hit pinnacle and diamond plus etc now. Good thing double pts promo ending soon.

Dec 2024 out of Galveston seems to have just come out. I'm in shock how high the prices are vs dec 2023. Big jump. Friends like the week before xmas. The 8 day cruises, some are less than the 7 days in dec. Wow.

That night last sunday they tried to find a table for the ONE night only. Just a place for me to eat dinner Sunday night. It was 5:15 and we had a 5 pm time so they just walked around looking for a open table for last sunday. They never offered to give me a new Mdr table. I just assumed that they would do that and as in the past send me the new table number. That's what I get for assuming someone would take responsibility and assign me a new table. Floor mdr mgrs as I said the one thing in 2 weeks wrong, rest was good. I specifically asked last week if that floor mgr could check and seat me with some singles or at least not a whole family. He said he checked... and some how missed this was one whole family, and too many assigned. He gets a F. Both mdr floor mgrs. Good thing I did a special request to NOT be seated with a family. I dont have anything normally against families except if they do pay restaurants all of them go and I'm only left, so that's why I asked not with one family. ... he couldnt have looked very well to think this was not a family. Friends so i know they had 5 consecutive cabins and same last names. In the past pre covid I've had some interesting mixed tables. This was the worst in 20 years, both weeks. I get it crew is hard to come by.

I boarded then too and they definitely were boarding by loyalty tier. Agree. Not sure how they divided the sitting areas. Get off tomorrow. I hear it's cold in Galveston.

On allure I boarded 2 sundays ago and D+ and above on one side of the new Galveston terminal and the rest on the other side. He was still calling the last of the key when D+ was called. So the answer appears to vary. For sure I was glad to board before 80% sitting there waiting.

Allure had a nice view out thru boardwalk from the diamond lounge. Wish it was bigger.

I would say rcl is a budget family friendly line. If you looked at rcl at all you would see enchantment is a older ship so will have fewer amenities. Some who just enjoy sitting and enjoying the ocean love older ships, some like me love the mega ships for more food choices and better shows. Other than a few places like the suite and diamond lounge the ship is open to all. There are a lot of threads about is the drink pkg worth it. I think you have to drink at least 5 mixed drinks a day to break even. It wouldnt be worth it for me, but might for you.

Yes and it's now Saturday. I'll put it in my feedback but I went last night and was told I was still assigned to the 10 top. Actually the 10 top are friends and that's why I'm sure they are 5 linked family cabins. When I arrived the first night my friend said Jxxx there are only 10 chairs. So i left and went to find someone and they tried to sit me alone at a 6 top. I said no, so they found a 2 top, but so much for requesting to share a table. Still assigned as the 11th at a 10 top. Too late now to fix it. But it will be in my feedback, they should have reassigned me to another Mdr table once the problem was known. Both floor managers are aware both weeks were a issue, deck 5 and last week deck 4. I didnt know it was on me to ask for new assignment. I assumed sunday it would be done, and wasnt. Now it's too late. But I will have it as feedback. Count. 11 with a family of 10 at a ten top, fix it. I shouldn't have to shuffle for a Mdr table to go back. I was going to WJ tonight for the ribs anyway. So it doesnt make a lot of difference at this pt, but shows me the dining supervisors arent great.

I'm apparently invisible. Only complaint is these 2 b2b on allure were the worst Mdr pairings I've ever encountered. First the 5 who wanted me gone NOW last week. This week I'm the 11th at a family ten top. With 10 chairs. You would think they would have reassigned me to new Mdr table but nope, I'm still the 11th at a ten top with ten family members. I asked the floor mgr last week if he could check and this week put me with singles or non linked family. He assured me he would. Good job. I have no place to sit. Ribs in WJ so np tonight, but it's a bit annoying. Seems it was me who needed to ask? I would have thought once their mistake was pointed out to them they would have reassigned me to a table where I can sit in the Mdr. Small gripe overall. The rest no issues. Crew nice and friendly.

My friend used a coffee card from a previous cruise on liberty and no issues. I have heard crew make up answers when they dont know. First I heard of a issue. Lol if told no ask someone else.

I sat with a pinnacle single lady who told me she is putting it on her feedback the crew doesnt know how to greet people any more. They should say to her welcome back as they can clearly see she is pinnacle and cruised before. So pinns also should get a special greeting we peons dont get.

If carnival could get the bookings at a higher price the prices would already be higher. RCL is coming after carnival in 2024 with harmony doing 6/8 and 7/7. The 8 day out of Galveston is going to coco cay. Dream 8 days have been going up in price and you can bet rcl noticed. No bargains but coco cay out of Galveston will only go up in price. Newer ship. Carnival has lots more competition out of Galveston than before with the new terminal meaning more ships and more cruiselines. Princess and ncl. Imo carnival is already losing bookings .. and I'm still a ccl stockholder. Looking tough to me.

Oasis I think out of florida. Not out of texas. Never brought another bottle of wine to Mdr.

I managed to get charged a corkage free pre covid. .. on a bottle of wine from RCL my TA had delivered to my cabin. Took the rcl bottle to dining room and was charged. I'm always the exception.
