  1. Noon flight out of FLL is easy. If you take the shuttle, they will give you your disembarkation paperwork with when to meet for your shuttle.
  2. That is what I'm assuming as well. I already didn't like how they changed the retreat on the Sky type ships, and this will certainly prevent me from wanting to sail on these ships. I hate this class thing the cruise lines are doing, but they are all headed that way.
  3. Does anyone know if they will have an adults only retreat area like previous ships? From what I have seen, it appears they are expanding the sanctuary and adding a pool, so does that mean you have to pay for that now?
  4. I've had this happen a couple of times. Likely for other traffic at the port.
  5. You can unlock your door from the app? Someone mentioned change your room temp on the app? I didn't know that. Have my second Celebrity cruise upcoming. Those two items might come in handy.
  6. I re-read the thread. So, on the Celebrity app, you can watch the safety videos before actually boarding the ship it seems like. I've never tried that on Princess, so I'm not sure if you can do that or not. I believe they do require you to watch it prior to going to your muster station, so that is why I said I turn the TV on to the video when we drop our bags, then head to the muster station. The system recognized I played the video and when I get to the muster station, it shows as completed to the attendant there. I will have to see if I can watch it on the app before boarding next time.
  7. It depends. We have seen it both ways, where you could access the rooms and where you couldn't so YMMV. If the fire doors are open you can likely drop your bags and leave while closing your door. Your medallion will work at that time, and then you can meet your room steward later. Our last 4-5 cruises between 2019 and 2022 we couldn't get there till 1pm, fire doors were closed. But our two cruises this year on Princess we were able to go directly to our room and drop stuff.
  8. I'm thinking of Princess maybe. They require you watch the video before going to the muster station, so we would get to our room, start the video then leave and head to the muster station to check in. Their TV's also won't let you play anything else till you have watched it.
  9. If you are an adult, there is a retreat area that is mostly away from the music. One thing I love about the Princess ships that have them. I'm pretty disappointed the newest ships won't have this.
  10. Can you get to your cabin and start the video, then go down to the muster station to check in?
  11. Thanks for sharing. I'm more excited now for my cruise than I was a couple of weeks ago.
  12. Agree with you 100%. It's very shady how they have implemented these price increases and removed benefits to them.
  13. Hmm. I wonder if they would turn it down some if you asked. On Princess newer ships they had an adults only retreat area that was separate from the main pools where the movie screen was, and you could get away from that noise, but I don't think Equinox has something like that.
  14. It's what tipping used to be here. Now tips are expected even if not really providing a service.
  15. Thanks for your review and comments. Makes me feel better. We board her in October. Likely will not go to the MDR and just eat in the buffet. Glad to hear all is well. Will be our second Celebrity cruise and looking forward to comparing it to Princess, where we have cruised 26 times.
  16. I didn't say anything about tin foil hat theories, just stating a fact about the medallion. And no, you are wrong. Before the medallion they only knew where you were and what you did when you bought something. Now they know every step you take. I never said anything about it being good or bad. And yes, I'm sure all that data is used to see what is popular and not on ships for future designs. I'm going to guess the new Sun and Star designs are a result of a few years of data from thousands of passengers As well as every other cost increase item or change in the last few years.
  17. Yes, but now they have data on your habits for every second you are near your ship. Marketing gold
  18. Well, yeah, during the pandemic they needed to entice people to cruise, but now they are bursting at the seams with people wanting onboard, and are pricing according to however they think they can maximize each cabin. I will say, at least in my view, the package and onboard items such as wifi prices are outrageous, but they are selling so good for the cruise line.
  19. No limits that I can find for non alcoholic drinks or water. People quote something, but I can't find it in my booking or website.
  20. Just carry it on. They might hold it, they might not.
  21. None of this is changing unless ships drop to 50% capacity, which it won't. Plenty of people to take anyone's place who doesn't like the new pricing and nickel and diming.
  22. It seems to me the multi device was removed when they removed basic as an option to purchase.
  23. I think you have to decide that for yourself. If you are unsure, ask a shipmate for guidance.
