  1. I think that is fine, have a Celebrity cruise booked in October, but currently every single thing is higher on Celebrity than Princess.
  2. While funny, none of those things makes someone a chair hog.
  3. I've said similar in this thread and others. However, I think people who buy packages feel that is it s a good value to them either by $ value or just relaxation value as some have mentioned. Either way, that is their choice. I'm one of those Elite penny pinchers who uses OBC to pay gratuities and wifi, and bring on all the water and soda I will drink so I'm not paying onboard prices. It's staggering how much money they make off those packages. However I see it as a positive for me those that buy the packages, as it's likely to help keep the cruise price somewhat lower to entice more to book, and then upsell the packages. So it's win for me, and the cruise line.
  4. Price increase incoming. Or just more "flash sales", where they double the price to make you think it's a deal.
  5. This is basically us. We take on all the water and soda we want, so we choose not to pay for drinks onboard and bring our own or drink what is included in the base fare.
  6. It's a personal decision based upon your expected spending. If you don't drink much alcohol or don't like how much they charge for it, it's likely not worth it.
  7. I'm sure they have the smallest, cheapest battery possible.
  8. I just looked at one I have here, and it doesn't have, at least that I can see, an obvious path to get to the battery without tearing up the medallion. I think when one is defective onboard, they just give you a new one. Again, not 100% sure. Perhaps others will chime in.
  9. Someone posted a video a while back at breaking into the medallion, but I don't think it's meant to, so you have to destroy it, but I'm not 100% sure. I think they do it that way on purpose.
  10. I suspect the battery doesn't last that long. Although you could use the same one for B2B or maybe a longer cruise without swapping out.
  11. Is there a schedule for rolling this out? On the Sky in December and hope it's updated.
  12. How exactly do they enforce one of you ordering a pizza and both eating it?
  13. I will say our one Celebrity cruise, I had expectations of better food based upon the Celebrity board. But, I found the food to be reasonably equivalent with no distinct difference in quality. I do have another Celebrity cruise coming up soon. I will say the food on the newer ships with a bigger horizon court is better because of more options.
  14. You will pay the price they are charging at the time you book it.
  15. It's unlimited in the sense that you can bring on at embarkation and then every port stop. But you can certainly bring on 2-4 12 packs at embaration, at least at FLL. They never look. You could also put some in your checked baggage too, but with cans, I worry that handling might make a mess in the suit case, so I typically carry on.
  16. Yes. Lemonade is available for lunch and dinner (maybe breakfast), but soda is something you pay for. That's why we bring on the soda we like. They do coke products, but it's limited. There is free coffee in the buffet area, and there are coffee areas with specialty coffee that you pay for.
  17. All you can do is ask, and let them know that it's unfair to exclude items from a package you purchased previoulsy, but is not part of that package. In my experience, if you complain, onboard, they will accommodate you, but I don't know with the new way of slapping customers in the face with changes.
  18. yes Soda is not included. You can buy, or bring onboard all you want. Same with water. Iced or hot tea, lemonadee and water. For breakfast, juices. Pro tip: If you want juices at other times, get glasses and put in your fridge and take them when you want them elsewhere.
  19. I had no idea you could substitute for chocolate covered strawberries. Will ask for this on my next cruise.
  20. I'm sure you can. You can bring bottles of water you are drinking or are going to drink, water/soda and they don't care.
  21. I'm passionate about my benefit cuts. 🙂
  22. It's basically a $75 reduction in the benefit for people who traded for coffee.
