Alaska Cruise out Vancouver - Help Please
Suzanne123 replied to Orange jeep's topic in West Coast Departures
I wanted to say thanks for the information. We did do the train and walked from City Centre station. We had one large suitcase and a couple carry-ons. It was an easy, mostly down hill walk to the Hampton Inn. -
July 6th we got our tests at the Shoppers Mart on West Pender. My phone wasnât working to schedule an appointment so we walked over and one of the pharmacists ran our tests as walk ins. $100CAD for two but showed as $78 on my Chase VISA.

Whale next to ship just leaving Icy Strait Point, and ( cheating a little ) Sea Lion Vancouver Aquarium.

Will try to add more pictures when I can reduce size.

Taken from our 8th floor balcony last week between Juneau and Skagway. Just dumb luck. DD had her camera out looking for spouts.

Iâve taken the train at least five or six times. IMO, Gold Star is worth it. I just consider the extra cost as another excursion. Adventure Class is basically downstairs and you take turns with the other AC passengers using the upstairs. Gold Star does have the meal and beverages included. ( We donât drink alcohol, but for sure Coke was included.) They also come around with some kind of snack. Unless itâs something new, the RR did not offer transfers from the hotels in Anchorage. We were always able to get a cab for the early morning ride to Seward. I remember someone comparing Gold Star and AC as first class and economy on a plane. I would agree.

Why would you think my question was unreal? Arriving two days before the cruise and wanted to find a place for a rapid antigen test. The drugstores that offer that are few and far between in PA, but thanks for the info.

Maybe because we were flying first class on Delta, but we checked in a little after 8:30 for a 1:30 flight. No questions asked.

We were among the first ones off the Millennium last Friday at 7:45. We were in one of the first black top cabs ( and ripped off for $50CAD, but thatâs another story) and arrived at YVR just before 8:30 for a 1:30 flight. I had global entry, but my daughter did not, and I checked our luggage while she went ahead to security. Since we were at the airport so early, we had no problems and were both at the gate by 9:15. Then it all fell apart as our 58 minute flight to Seattle didnât take off until 5:46. Yes, 9 hours In the Vancouver airport waiting for them to fix a door and then waiting for a flight attendant. The best laid plansâŚ.

Or when they divide ages by decades 10-20, 20-30, etc., and your age is now âOther.âđ

Saw this in a shop in Vancouver (edited) You know youâre old anytime youâre entering your DOB with a smartphone you get to the year and you have to spin that thing like youâre on Wheel of Fortune.

Where can we get tested in San Diego? Thanks.

Need recs to get nail design done in For Lauderdale

I have been to both locations of Tipsy Salon Bar at Dania Point and Los Olas. They did great work. https://tipsydaniabeach.com/ https://tipsyfortlauderdale.com -
We did get really close again this week, but unfortunately the day was so foggy that we only saw the bottom half of the glacier. Still impressive, though.đ

We are doing a back to back on the Millennium, and yesterday the captain announced we were 1,500 feet from Hubbard Glacier. In his words , âWoo hooâ! It was amazing. Not a lot of calving, but I have never been that close. My iPhone picture doesnât do it justice. At one point the entire window view at the Lido Cafe was completely ice top to bottom. We will be there again tomorrow so hoping to have the same luck.

My daughter used them last year. Had a good time. https://www.ketchikankayakco.com/activities/e-bike-hike/

Posted the same problem, but just figured out how you canceled ( go to My Itinerary ). Thanks.

Oceanraft Skagway is completely different from the rafting trip in Skagway. Oceanraft is a jetboat down the Lynn Canal https://www.oceanraftalaska.com Iâve done it maybe five times. Loved it. The Chilkoot Hike and Rafting is also nice, but a much slower pace. Iâve also done the Oceanraft in Sitka, ( called Volcano Coast rafting or similar). Sit on the last row next to the captain for a less bouncy ride.

Ft. Lauderdale airport/Dania beach hotel with food nearby
Suzanne123 replied to 39august's topic in Florida Departures
Iâve stayed at both the Marriott and AC by Marriott adjoining hotels near Dania Pointe shopping. Very new and nice. Loads of shopping and restaurants a couple blocks away from the hotels. -
It was $100 CAD ( for 2) and shows as $77.88 USD on my credit card.

No. Just got ours done today. Used our US driverâs licenses for ID.

Is Covid testing back at Vancouver cruise port?
Suzanne123 replied to phoenix_dream's topic in West Coast Departures
Sorry. Our cruise is on Friday. We asked for CVM at the Convention Center Information Desk. The woman told us that CVM was closed, but there was testing for cruising âupstairsâ. This is the piece of paper she gave us. We went to the ballroom and were told that they do test for Celebrity, but they would not test us until Friday, the day of our cruise. the name of the testing company was not displayed. -
Thank you!
