    Calling for snow here next week so did my last bike ride yesterday.

    We did three cruises on her, all Trans Atlantic, two east bound, one going west. We really enjoyed sailing on her.

    Glad it doesn't start until Nov, that means I don't have to get it for our July cruise. One less thing to have to worry about.

    The Oosterdam had an open deck on deck 9 which was open all the time.

    We did three different New Years Eve cruises, one was the first cruise my wife & I did 34 years ago and the last one was 2017 with our 7 year old great grand daughter in 2017. My wife was sound asleep we wandered around the ship.

    Our TA, who we found out about on a cruise from other cruisers, gives us a nice bit of OBC. Our previous TA didn't give us any.

    To celebrate our Thanksgiving Day the town dresses up the entrance.

    We have a cabin on deck 7 forward, these look like good balcony lots of room.

    We did the Amazon cruise on her, good memories of that cruise.

    Why would anyone pay for water when all the water on board is drinkable. Fill up your reusable bottle any were on the ship.

    Nieuw Statendam does go above the Arctic Circle. We are doing a cruise on her 12-26 July 2023 it is a 14 day cruise to Honningsvag, North Cape. There is a roll call started for that cruise.

    We did a two week Med in July and every thing was great. Food, service, cabin stewards all was right with the world. HAL entertainment in the main show room was still lacking.

    Just found out that HAL is offering OBC for veterans for our July 2023 cruise. After all our HAL cruises this was the first time it was offered. Someone on the HAL board posted a link.

    Boy, lots of doom & gloom. I hope things pick up. I guess now is the time to buy CCL stock, it would pay for itself in a very short time if you cruise a lot of long cruises.

    Thanks for the heads up. Did Ft Lauderdale get hit very hard from the hurricane, much damage??

    I found out about the benefit after reading about it here on CC. I applied for it by filling out the form & sending it to HAL and got it, after we had booked a cruise.
