  1. Chainsaw art. Amazing what people can do using just a chainsaw.
  2. We're cruising on the NS next July, hopefully they'll open the bow when we do the scenic cruising into the fjords
  3. There is a great thread about all things photography just after the roll call thread.
  4. On our July cruise on the Oosterdam they had a MicroSoft work room but it was not used as such & not class was offered.
  5. Coldwater Fall Fair. The winning pull was 5325 lbs.
  6. Here are some of the volunteers of the," Friends of the Coldwater Mill" putting up a new Totem Pole.
  7. Why would you need a beverage package for a one day cruise?
  8. Don't worry about how old you are nobody cares, just enjoy yourself. The longer cruises rack up days faster, spending money on board also helps. Paying for two or three ships excursions per cruise also help, when spending money on board. Our 12 old great grand daughter is well on her way after two cruises with 36 days.

    OBC

Not sure, but it is based on you buying or spending money on board. Are you actually buying something?
  10. This sounds more like a feel good story. Reading the article, it will be years before this happens fleet wide. But it is a beginning.
  11. On our last cruise in July there were three of us with cell phones, laptops, Ipads, had one universal plug & had no problem plugging everything in.
  12. Would not want to be caught out in that.
  13. What are the chances of watching the northern lights on a cruise to Honningsvag in July?
  14. I think we have decided on the Best Western Hebron price wise, hotels in high season really go up. The Best Western Plus Hotel is in a better location & more in the center in order to walk around & sight see.
  15. Yes. We once got a balcony cabin instead of taking the OBC. We went from an inside to the balcony for a trans Atlantic
  16. Thanks for posting the update. We sailed on her up the Amazon, brought back some good memories.
  17. I would call HAL and ask them to get the correct answer, I don't see why not.
  18. I'll sure miss sitting in a deck chair on the promenade deck watching the ocean pass by reading a book or having a nap.
  19. I think I've got our hotel narrowed down to three, Hotel Bethel, Best Western & Hotel Maritime all under $200 Canadian, free breakfast. They are all within walking distance of the of a lot of the tourist attractions close to the water front.
  20. It sure sounds like the cruise from hell for you. Hope you get home OK and you get everything sorted out with HAL. Not any good memories of this cruise.
  21. That is nice to hear. It would not hurt for more ports to set aside a room in the terminal for the crew to relax.
  22. The SS Keewatin is tourist attraction that has been closed for the past 3 years & it's starting to show neglect. It used to cruise the Great Lakes from Port McNicoll to Fort William (Thunder Bay) as part of a 5 ship fleet of Canadian Pacific Railway. Looking a little sad.
