I've been looking at hotels for our pre cruise next year. The Tivoli looks like it's close to the major tourist things to see & do. Price also looks good.

I was surprised that it took them this long to cancel stops in Russia. I'm glad we got to see St. Petersburg years ago. Beautiful city, great sites.

This weekend is our annual Steam Punk Festival. There was a demonstration of sword fighting, they are using real steel swords.

We don't have smartphones either. Do everything on the computer print copies of what we need & have no problems.

I eat three meals a day when I'm at home. It's not how many meals you eat, it's how much you eat at each meal.

I think if all air lines started to enforce the carry on limits of seize, weight maybe the message will get out & people start to listen and follow the rules.

Thanks for posting, couldn't remember what went in one. It looks like a lot of booze but it's only 2 oz. Very refreshing on a hot day. You do not want to drink a whole bunch at on time.

For our 2 July cruise out of Athens our boarding time was 2:00 a week later it was changed to 3:00. On the day of boarding, after checking out of our hotel we got to the port about 11:30 they took our bags, we got our covid test, waited for the results, boarded about 12:30 dropped our carry on in the cabin & were in the Lido having lunch by about 1:00. Fasted time ever for check in. Very few people waiting to board. This is what the waiting area looked like at about 12:30

We were also on the 16 July transfer to Venice. Our flight departure was 1310 we boarded our bus appr. 0730, was only half full. I hope I never have to fly out of Marco Polo again, what a zoo, Toronto by comparison is a well organized operation. After finding the AC desk which took a bit, them trying to find were security check was, there are different ones, after clearing security you then walk through a very long duty free shop to get to the customs clearing check point. After that you find your gate. There are very few places at the gate to try & find something to eat, they are all behind you in the duty free shop, what a mess. Your bus times are based on your flight times, we had lots of time.

That is the problem with people & their carry on. They look like pack mules coming on the plane with two/three bags hanging off them, trying to stuff the over heads bins. If I'm last to board I can't find an over head bin by my seat because some one has put their carry on there. I wish air lines would enforce the number & seize of carry on bags.

Just finished a two week cruise on the Oosterdam. No interesting guest speaker on a sea days, didn't watch the dancers had one magician. Went to the Main Stage three times in the two weeks. We used to go every night. Entertainment has gone down hill from past years.

Not much to see today if you took the cable car to the top.

By that time the shore excursion you want might be sold out.

Does not look like it's a nice day to be a tourist in Juneau today, the lens is covered in rain, can't see a thing.
