  1. We stayed in a "new" mini suites farest aft on the Carib deck. One of our favorite rooms.
  2. MAybe we'll have to go the day before the cruise. Thanks for the tip.
  3. Guess we'll be planning a visit on our B2B turn day. Mahalo!!
  4. My wife was really upset when Princess cancelled our cruise on the Majestic from Sydney to Hong Kong that visited Perth. Rottness Island is on her bucket list to see the Quokkas. The trip out to the island wasn't offered as a cruise excursion but there were a lot of options to get there and back. Short ferry ride.
  5. Standard shower head. Just unscrew shower head and attach hose.
  6. We had it for our 28 day South Pacific voyage on the Crown. We've booked these rooms many times and sent many letters to Princess to protest their "new" policy. First time I was told my towels were triggering the bridge cameras. From then on I didn't bother with shorts on the balcony as I didn't want to trigger cameras.πŸ˜€Always have our Hawaii State Flag displayed.
  7. Haven't been able to get a hold of a few friends in Lahaina and upcountry Kula. Communication network coming back on line. Hoping for the best. We are on Oahu and alls well, just devastating what's happened. Mahalo for the thoughts,
  8. I guess I should've been clearer and posted on any ship besides the Crown. It was in the webinar that it would be available.
  9. It's been reported on a thread that the OcensNow option on the stateroom TV has disappeared. Does anyone else onboard a ship now able to verify this also?
  10. I asked a CC member if the Capricciosa pizza was available on the Crown prior to our 28day cruise. She posted that only the Pepperoni and Cheese were available from Room Service. The ship had to have Alfredos/Gigis to get the specialized pizzas.
  11. Worst case senario: 4 $14.99 "meals" 2 $ 14.99 Oceans Now activation _________________________ $98.94 so you'll have to be on a 5 day cruise or less for an upgrade of $10x2 or $20 a day to make the upgrade work
  12. Why x2, I plan on just paying on one app, and using for both. Not the same as sharing a drink package, just paying one service charge.
  13. We"ve used the Oceans Now app on TV to order 8 beers at a time and snacks for in room movie days. The 2nd leg is a TA so we'll pay 1 charge of $14.99 and tip the room steward for our beers. My wife loves the Capriacosa pizzas but would only get them from the app. The upgrade cost would be $150x2 so $300. We are out $14.99 so we have $285 left to spend on $12 pizzas. They used to be free, but oh well. We have 91 days booked, but have now directed our TA to start looking at other cruise lines to replace ones we've booked and also going forward. The pushout of this program is what disturbs me and I don't want to sit back and wait for the other shoe to fall. The fact that there is no grandfathering for what you've already booked is what bothers me. We always book the Plus program but I'm sure that will just continue to climb in costs once they have a new passenger demographic who's accepted this. Just started retirement and have planned on 2 or more 30day+ cruises each year. We'll build loyalty on another cruise line.
  14. They make reference and had a bullet point about using the telephone for room service. Will one still be able order from Ocean Now on the TV and not have to pay a room service fee? We have a 10day booked at the $60 rate, followed by a 15day with the $50 rate. Wonder how this will work.
  15. Princess could send these "used" mattress's to the Crown, anything would be an improvement over their marshmello beds. Totally worn out.
  16. You solved the problem via wine arithmetic. πŸ˜€
  17. I got a good price from Aqua Cars from LHR to Southampton. I agree with the West Quay app and website, both a no go.
  18. I've gotten quotes from both and are close in price L120-150. Any experience with either, any reason to chose one over the other. I know the bus or train is cheaper, but have decided on a private car for the transfer. Mahalo
  19. Hope your hotel committee doesn't put you in Holiday Inns. Just retired after 4 decades of airline flyingπŸ˜€.
  20. Back in 2000, very new to cruising we had reserved a aft cabin balcony on RCCL. Showed up and were given a different cabin, our original one had a huge balcony. Made myself breath a moment, then realized we had been upgraded to a Owners Suite. Problem solved. They said we sent you an email but we had traveled out early and didn't check, last minute upgrades used to happen.
  21. What, No pics of the grossly over the top desert things.πŸ˜ƒ All looks very good.
  22. The problem with putting a curtain in the older ships is that they have the old half circle TV stands/storage shelves. The curtain would have to be too far on either side to make it work. Hopefully the new flat screen wall mounted TVs are installed, giving you more storage and better access to the plugs that used to be used for the TVs.
  23. Not True!! In the "new" mini suite cabins that were added on there is a curtain. Sailed in one on the Caribe deck, one of our favorite cabins.
