Back in 2000, very new to cruising we had reserved a aft cabin balcony on RCCL. Showed up and were given a different cabin, our original one had a huge balcony. Made myself breath a moment, then realized we had been upgraded to a Owners Suite. Problem solved. They said we sent you an email but we had traveled out early and didn't check, last minute upgrades used to happen.

The problem with putting a curtain in the older ships is that they have the old half circle TV stands/storage shelves. The curtain would have to be too far on either side to make it work. Hopefully the new flat screen wall mounted TVs are installed, giving you more storage and better access to the plugs that used to be used for the TVs.

Not True!! In the "new" mini suite cabins that were added on there is a curtain. Sailed in one on the Caribe deck, one of our favorite cabins.

I had a problem with my email address, it had switched to my Moms. The message said I had to call to do a change. That opened up a can of worms as my email was corrected, on second try, but my birth date was changed. Took 3 more phone calls to get my birth date corrected. You might save the frustration and change it face to face on the ship. Good Luck!

The Outrigger bar on the Royal was the only bar that had the Icy Bay Ipa. Seems there was a better selection there.

Icy Bay IPA from Alaskan Brewing Company was my favorite last year on Alaska cruise. Seems you have to try every bar and see what they are offering.

We had both the American IPA and the India Pale Ale IPA on our Crown trip in March.

We booked as 10-15 B2B. Upgrade to a MS a month and got a mixed fare. Interline on the 10 and kept all our OBC on the 15 with Princess booking. Did have a hard time hammering down the same cabin for all 25 days but got it done. Went from deluxe balcony to mini.

Talked to a guy whose Father works at Port of LA. There's always something you can write up maintenance wise on anytype of equipment. Seems yesterday all the cranes in LA all of a sudden had multiple write ups that needed to be cleared. Management sent everyone home as the crane work would eat up most of the day. Have to remember the mechanics are also covered under the long overdue unsettled contract.

I normally book our travel online ,then transfer to a TA. My TA can get me interline fares which have to be booked outside Princess. I just used a Princess PVP who contacted me after I'd done a blast mailing to Princess about new cabin booking procedures. I'm very impressed and this will not be a booking I move outside Princess.

We had an extended balcony and I brought on a Coleman lounging chair for my wife to use on our balcony. That way she didn't have to worry about getting a lounger after the hogs had been out. I almost used to sleep on as the Crowns mattresses were broken down horrible.

Dollar store, cheap and fold flat for outside pocket of suitcase.

How does it affect a transpacific from Syd to Vancouver? we have a 10 day Queensland booked prior to a 30 day Syd to YVR. What if we wait to pay onboard with gift cards till say Hawaii?? We use the gift cards for the fare, and we're going to use some for excursions. Maybe we'll wait.

We never had a problem with the mattress on a cruise, but the Crown was different. I lived half a month in hotels for 30 yrs and have to say the mattress on the Crown was the worst. March 17 for 28 days. They REALLY need to be replaced.

Any idea how much the cab from the pier to the hotel is? We have a full day donut boat rental from the hotel.

Crown was in drydock in Oct 2022. My back knows the mattress's weren't replaced at that time. 28days sleeping on a broke down one. Rest of the ship looked good.

Right on! We have the same Itinerary booked on the Carib Princess for 05/2024-06/2024 but changed to a Auz/Nz cruise, and now booking same 2025 in Europe. Not liking the ME intro guarantee crap deal and will wait to see if we cancel the 100 days booked, or if Princess caan do something for us. Not a Rah-Rah person, but Princess does have the best itinirarys.

The flyer that was posted here had the 2025 European bookings opened for Elite on 05/25 at 1200 am and for all on 05/26. I was able to book this am. Another fine example of Princess IT.

We had an extended balcony on our Crown South Pacific cruise and I brought on a Coleman Converta Lounger. My wife loved it, and the best part, NO CHAIR HOGS to get to it before she did.I was tempted 😀.

This was on the Crown for our stop in Moorea in April. They were giving them out beginning at 6:30 at the Captains Circle desk.You DID NOT have to have your whole party there to get tickets.I'd say by the time they started giving them out there were about 100 people waiting to get them, I was #1😀, I got Abalone.

Check the daily patter. On our last cruise, they were giving out tender tickets the night before. Ours were all ocean creatures names.

I had never done this but after reading posts about the cards I got mine out and checked the balances. Now I'll do it as soon as I get them. I've used them for several cruises and was very pleased at the time it took to return the $$ amount to the cards for a cancelled Covid cruise. On buying excursions, is it better to put them down for OBC and use that to purchase excursion, or to just purchase the excursion directly.
