How does it affect a transpacific from Syd to Vancouver? we have a 10 day Queensland booked prior to a 30 day Syd to YVR. What if we wait to pay onboard with gift cards till say Hawaii?? We use the gift cards for the fare, and we're going to use some for excursions. Maybe we'll wait.

We never had a problem with the mattress on a cruise, but the Crown was different. I lived half a month in hotels for 30 yrs and have to say the mattress on the Crown was the worst. March 17 for 28 days. They REALLY need to be replaced.

Any idea how much the cab from the pier to the hotel is? We have a full day donut boat rental from the hotel.

Crown was in drydock in Oct 2022. My back knows the mattress's weren't replaced at that time. 28days sleeping on a broke down one. Rest of the ship looked good.

Right on! We have the same Itinerary booked on the Carib Princess for 05/2024-06/2024 but changed to a Auz/Nz cruise, and now booking same 2025 in Europe. Not liking the ME intro guarantee crap deal and will wait to see if we cancel the 100 days booked, or if Princess caan do something for us. Not a Rah-Rah person, but Princess does have the best itinirarys.

The flyer that was posted here had the 2025 European bookings opened for Elite on 05/25 at 1200 am and for all on 05/26. I was able to book this am. Another fine example of Princess IT.

We had an extended balcony on our Crown South Pacific cruise and I brought on a Coleman Converta Lounger. My wife loved it, and the best part, NO CHAIR HOGS to get to it before she did.I was tempted 😀.

This was on the Crown for our stop in Moorea in April. They were giving them out beginning at 6:30 at the Captains Circle desk.You DID NOT have to have your whole party there to get tickets.I'd say by the time they started giving them out there were about 100 people waiting to get them, I was #1😀, I got Abalone.

Check the daily patter. On our last cruise, they were giving out tender tickets the night before. Ours were all ocean creatures names.

I had never done this but after reading posts about the cards I got mine out and checked the balances. Now I'll do it as soon as I get them. I've used them for several cruises and was very pleased at the time it took to return the $$ amount to the cards for a cancelled Covid cruise. On buying excursions, is it better to put them down for OBC and use that to purchase excursion, or to just purchase the excursion directly.

That the Emerald dozen are the cheapest has become a problem. Princess has made the Cat ME a entry fare and has put them out as guarantee only. There are also some ME forward on the Dolphin deck. I've found a few sailings where you can actually book them, but it's rare. We always book on opening day just to get one of those cabins as we like the full cover. I've written several emails and so far crickets. We were going to book one on the Majestic, but were worried about the pool area overhead. Have you sailed in one of those? We took the Riviera deck just to be sure.

We actually drifted for 30-45 minutes. There was a leak in a prop shaft cooling line that needed to be fixed. We arrived 14hrs early into Papeete to disembark a few sick passengers. After leaving Papeete, we did a 180 to head back toa position closed for a air pick up. It was then decided that it was to rough to do one so we did a left turn and headed to Nuku Hiva to drop off the passenger. With all this, we still arrived on time back into LA. I'd say the ship has no lingering propulsion matters. See this was posted a month ago, looking at booking the Emerald for the first time and wanted to see if any big difference. Like that the buffet zoo is a better set up, and hope the beds have been replaced in the last 5yrs as i'm sure the one we had on the Crown was at least that old.

It's our crew hotel and our hotel committee is very good at picking clean quiet hotels.

Which dining room do you have? If you are in Michelangelo, Anastasia is the Hostess and she set us up with a beautiful window table for 2 at 6:40. James and Rachel were the best team we've ever had.

We were in E730 for the 28day South Pacific. If you are on the even side say Hi to Emmanuel from Tim and Suzanne from Hawaii. He got us the shower head right away and was always cheerful and helpful. Love the crew on the ship and could go on and on about them.

Learned to check daily. Looked this AM and the excursion showed 1 ticket left. Immediately bought it. No notice from Princess as to our waitlist status.
