  1. @surrocruiser, there should be a dining room available during the day for people to play board games. I know there are those who grab tables by the pool or the buffet and sit there for several hour playing cards, etc. but that does not allow others to use the tables for eating...
  2. As long as your daughter has her new passport she's good for 9 years and 6 months - old passport not necessary 😊
  3. As noted above, should be no problem. DH uswd his with lanyard, was more than 6 inches from pacemaker, or could put on belt loop or wrist. He was also told that the security scanners are not a problem as long as he doesn't stop in it. But check with your cardiologist or device manufacturer.
  4. We also found it helpful if we were waiting for our friends to see if they had left their cabin or where they were on the way. As someone mentioned above, we had given each other permission to do the tracking.
  5. @MsTabbyKats, re your chocolate question - on the Enchanted in February, there was a Chocolate Buffet in the Horizon the 2nd to last sea day. Don't know if it will be done on the Island but you can always hope!
  6. I think our taxi fare from the cruise terminal to the airport in February was $13-15, just for a ballpark figure.
  7. The Caribbean boards in the Ports of Call section generally have information on taxi fares to various beaches on the islands. I also googled taxi fare information. Cash also works for renting loungers and umbrellas on the beach. I always take a little more than I anticipate to need...
  8. We did a B2B in February on Enchanted, first leg in D152 (Deluxe Balcony) and second in D710 (regular balcony). Both had a bigger balcony, which we love. More Deluxe than regular balconies on Dolphin deck have the bigger balconies, but there are a few in the aft section.
  9. OH, would hate to see this! We loved Take 5 in February, spent time each night listening to the awesome jazz trio, and it was full most evenings. Wish they would just make the whole casino non-smoking instead!
  10. Apparently, the Deluxe Balcony staterooms on the Royal class ship are Guarantee only for two passengers. I think they keep them open for 3 or 4 passenger bookings, and then allocate them to the bookings with 2 passengers as the sailing date gets closer. We booked a 10-day sailing on Enchanted for last February in October last year. The only balconies available by then were a Deluxe Guarantee (we had wanted a regular balcony) so we went with it. Even though it was DF category we were assigned a stateroom with the larger balcony on Dolphin (D4) about a week before. So if you want a Deluxe, you have to be willing to accept a Guarantee. I've read where some people have found available Deluxe cabins by doing a mock booking for 3 people, then contacting a PVP to book...
  11. Curacao - there are a number of beaches, we went to Blue Bay resort one time and enjoyed it. The SeaAquarium is not too far from the port. Or just walk around Willemstad, we prefer the Punda side... As someone noted above, check (or have your friends check) the Curacao board in the Ports of Call forum, I'm sure they'll come up with something!
  12. If you booked with a TA, they will need to cancel the cruise and should send you the form to complete and forward to AON.
  13. We did this 6 years ago, if memory serves me we were in the first groups off the ship but don't remember exactly what time it was. The bus ride is about 3 hours. You can either see the Transfers on your Personalizeer (under Travel) or if you used a TA, contact them.
  14. And don't forget their photographer (at least I hope they still have one). On our first trip, he got a shot of me with a sea turtle about 4 feet away - of course I bought the flash drive!
  15. Does your friend snorkel? We had the BEST snorkel trip (twice!) with Woodwind in Bonaire. You can book it independently, and walk to where they leave from. They go around Klein Bonaire, no worries about getting back to the ship on time 😉
  16. I use Stands (extension?) on our desktop to block pop-ups. Haven't had any ads here.
  17. Yep, even before Final Payment, often any price drop re-fare has to be "cancel and re-book," I believe. If that's the case, you need to see how that may affect any OBC or other perks you have with the current booking.
  18. Hated that closet sensor light on our last cruise! We've always found there is enough light coming under the stateroom door from the hallway to find the bathroom, and we bring a nightlight for inside the bathroom.
  19. @JamieLogical, was this on the Enchanted? We ate at the Catch there in February and had no long wait for our food. Did you ask your waiter what the holdup was? Sorry you had that experience, as we thought the food and service was wonderful!
  20. Yes, that is the one we bought before our February cruise, based on a reccommendation from someone on CC. Worked well!
  21. And don't forget, this will all be changing once the ships go to the new dining room system. Hopefully, there will be less confusion.
  22. And Ken regularly (each day?) posts the internet speed that he is getting. Of course, he is in Alaska, so YMMV...
  23. Sorry, when I saw the topic, all I could think was, "Eating Live what...?" 😁
  24. I agree! We've done it this way two times with cruisetours (first time started in Fairbanks, second in Anchorage) for exactly those reasons. We were on the Coral the second time, loved the ship.
  25. We were in D710 on Enchanted in February (same deck plan), never had any noise issues. Nice being close to the aft elevators!
