  1. I loved the choices on the Celebrity Edge class ships. Our favorite restaurant was Eden. The S class we enjoy the lawn club grill. We also typically dine once in each specialty restaurant, except not sushi lovers. We found the food on princess, not nearly as good as Celebrity- or Royal- Honestly, we are foodies and IMO we have the best restaurants available at home- so if it is just food you want, no cruise ship typically can beat a 5 star land based restaurant. We don't go on a cruise just for the food- You will enjoy the Edge class ships.
  2. Hello, I will be sailing on the silhouette next week and typically enjoy a hair blow out and style one or two times on a cruise- Some of the hairstylist are excellent others horrible. Anybody use the salon recently? How were the services? Any particular stylist you would recommend? Thanks
  3. I do not mean that I don’t like the mclass ships loved sailing to Bermuda multiple times on the summit! My dh and I are also in our sunset years!
  4. We did a b/2/b on the Apex last year- My DH has had multile skin CA's and cannot be in the sun. We did find some shaded spots on the ship on the Suite deck. However you should get up early as they are limited. I heard the newer ships have more shaded areas. Enjoy your cruise.
  5. E Class ships are the best. They keep getting better! Try it-you'll like it!
  6. Perhaps celebrity plans to sell the old ships to make way for new ones. Maybe the constellation will join the galaxy and horizon
  7. Best to call Celebrity and order from an agent. They can assist you. Enjoy your cruise.
  8. Agree- best to book dining and excursions on line- watch for sales- check often- especially around holidays. When on board, with a dining package, go to a restaurant representative- they are typically sitting outside restaurants or go to any specialty restaurant to book times/dates. If you have anytime dining, never a problem. Wait on line at the selected restaurant and request a table for two- with fixed dining, as said above call celebrity or if you are dealing with a TA ask them to handle on your behalf. We always take as much luggage as we want depending upon the lenght of the cruise- we store our suitcases under the bed after unpacking. We typically do not bring snacks- food always available and junk food snacks are sold in the shops. Typically at each port, you have a pretty long walk to the main area- you can get a taxi if you want to go to a specific location. It varies by port. Unlike Royal, no show reservations are necessary, except for the comedy club. We did a b/2/b on the apex last January and absolutely loved it. It is a great ship. Don't miss dining in Eden. Enjoy your cruise.
  9. Done all the time. Unfortunately (for some) sickness or tragedy occur a couple of days before, or the day of the cruise, and a cabin/suite may become available
  10. Probably 48 hours in advance. You will probably get an onboard credit for the amount .
  11. Revolutionized is a big deal. The summit appears much cleaner and brighter then the Constellation. Especially noticed are the bright well decorated staterooms.
  12. My DH and I are considering an MSC cruise- in the Yacht club. Celebrity and Royal pricing for suites is getting off the charts. However, after your issues, I am not sure I would sail on them. Perhaps we will no longer sail in suites.
  13. Glad you had a great cruise! When will the ship go to dry dock? The summit was redone and is now bright, especially the sky suites- any idea about when she will be refurbished? Thanks
  14. If you buy package then cancel on board you will probably get onboard credit. Not a refund. I called to cancel my unlimited dining plan and rebook, but was told if I cancel I might not be able to rebook as the plans for unlimited dining for my sailing were all booked up. So we decided to just leave alone
  15. We have had the unlimited specialty dining package on many celebrity ships. Will be on silhouette again next week. With the package, the only issue can be time of the reservation. If it isn't available, you need to be flexible and book when you board. We typically do not have a problem, but might have to vary dining times and rotate restaurants. I plan on the restaurant and the day, but sometimes must adjust- Never had a real problem.
  16. looks like that guy is wearing his undies! lol
  17. It’s a nice place to enjoy a drink and talk to friends. Snacks also available. The afternoon tea is also enjoyable. When we want more we enjoy the martini bar or cafe al baccio. But the retreat is also enjoyable
  18. I bring some of my good jewelry- as some said- why own it if you can't wear and enjoy it? However when I go on Shore X's, I leave the good jewelry in the ship safe.
  19. The Magic Carpet sky suites aren't as popular as the regular S1's and S2's. Typically more available- enjoy your cruise.
  20. Honestly as a person who doesn't watch any "big games" I would find it annoying- the game should be watched using your iPad, phone and earbuds so as not to intrude upon other people trying to enjoy the relaxation of the lounge. They also have venues with TVs.
  21. IMO if you picked a nice well located regular balcony cabin, stay put and save your money. If you want to move up to a sky suite or above- worth it for the suite loounge, priority perks and suite deck.
  22. We mostly dine in specialty restaurants- but breakfast in Luminae. We typically give a few dollars extra for each meal. Not everyone does- your call.
  23. Your tour looked interesting. However my DH would starve. He will not eat seafood of any kind. Not for us. Glad you had a great time.
