We loved our Apex cruise! Was the window washing equipment in front of your balcony the entire trip? We did a b/2/b on her last January. The suite lounge/deck are a 10! Loved it- only negative comment is not enough shaded areas. So we got up on deck early to find a shady spot. Enjoy your cruise- thanks for sharing. We loved Eden, try to dine their.

I suggest that you get a notorized letter from the minors parents allowing you to travel with the child. I even brought a note when traveling with our grandchild. Nobody asked to see it- but we had it.

Good luck with your upgrade The suite life is wonderful! While I definately prefer a sky suite on the opposite side of the deck from the magic carpet, I do not think it will interfer with your enjoyment of the suite. Congratulations. We have a bid in for a royal or celebrity suite from a sky suite on an S class ship next week and are anxiously awaiting our results. Since the cruise apparently has been booked for a few weeks, doubtful we will get any upgrade. As long as we are in any suite, we are happy!

For that matter you don't need to be on a cruise ship. Beaches, 5 star hotels, shopping, shows and fine dining are available in many states in the USA. But it is nice to have a opportunity to enjoy all of these amenities on a cruise.

We are also seniors. Loved cococay. So many more areas to choose from. We also did the beach club which was wonder. Our next royal cruise will stay in adults only area

My ds owns a vacation club plan at disney. But the price for a pass in obscene for many. He is a “Disney freak”. We go occasionally with him and his spouse but imo not worth it. You pay for cheesy food and long lines. But clearly many love it

My DH loves a Long Island Iced tea and chocolate martini. I love a french martini and also a Miami vice by the pool.

Having been to Coco Cay on Royal a few times, it is so much better than labadee. I think once people go their, they will not want to go to Labadee. Coco cay had many beach, food and entertainment options, with so many less sand flies, it was great.

the cruise lines continue to make obscene profits, cut services, build new ships and employees work harder. I do not feel sorry for their "debt". The rates are crazy and aren't justified.

Better to book a regular balcony cabin and with the money saved dine at specialty restaurants.

Terrible idea. First, sometimes ships might dock late. If other ships at the port, customs agents might not be at your terminal. Also even with carry on luggage, before 11:00-11:30 very risky. Airports are crowded now as more people travel. We also don't book before noon. To avoid any stress, change your flight.

Yes, prices are insane- but since people still are willing to pay them, they will not decrease. Early booking is the key for newer ships. If you don't mind the old rust buckets, you might still get a more reasonable price. Or consider another cruise line. We are considering MSC for a cruise as their prices seem more reasonable.

The long dining hall table sounds like Aqua class tables for two on the M and S class ships. Not for me.

If you really like AQ and aren't fussy about cabin location, why not? As long as the price is ok for you.

Never had any surcharge and we order premium alcohol. However, if you order expensive champagne or wine- I assume you should pay. Especially for a bottle.

We get the Amex Plat perks when we book on the ship then transfer to an AMEX Ta. Some TA's do not participate in the Amex program. Make sure that you use an AMEX TA. We had a TA who initially was a participating Amex platinum TA, but dropped her membership- perhaps didn't want to share any commissions. Make sure you ask the TA and get an e-mail from her stating you will get additional shipboard credit- some TA's won't give you any credit or free dinners on board.

Thanks for sharing. We enjoyed our cruises on the Summit as well. Now, we typically sail on the S and E class. The Retreat on the reflection will be a great experience for you both. Next try one of the new E class ships. Enjoy your cruises.

We loved the Apex suite class. We truly enjoyed the suite lounge and sun deck. Luminae was great! While expensive the service and perks truly make a good vacation an excellent vacation. Loved the ship and service. s and m class also great but e class suites and amenities wonderful

Maybe I shouldn't sail with that company- Who knows! We love cruising but the prices are now obscene.

We cannot locate a good TA for MSC. Also, we tried filling out the form for getting reciprocity from celebrity we are Elite plus. The form asks for the Canptains club ID card- don't have one.

We are also Elite Plus on Celebrity. We enjoy suites but now with the drop in service and price are also considering MSC Yacht club. May try for our next winter cruise. A new adventure.
