  1. You can book shore excursions when you are on board and use this OBC. Ask your TA if it is refundable OBC. If so and you do not use it, you can get cash at the end of the cruise.
  2. Your quote list these -- and they are from personal experience for both me and DW (nightmares and vivid dreams) and we do use Doxi if we have a malaria issue Common side effects are side effects which affect up to one in ten people who use a certain medication. Common side effects of Malarone are dizziness, depression and sleeping problems. People who take Malarone to experience unusual dreams, fever, an itchy rash, a cough, or to find that their appetite decreases. Other Side effects These include: severe allergic reaction hepatitis (inflammation of the liver) blockage of the bile ducts inflammation of the blood vessels increased heart rate panic attacks and crying seizures nightmares mental health issues such as psychosis mouth ulcers peeling skin and blisters increased sensitivity to sunlight unusual blood test results. reduction in blood cells leading to anaemia or low white blood cells
  3. After final payment date -- no refare is possible. All lines have this in their terms. Some may at their own discretion offer some OBC. Some will allow refare only if cabin class is still available (Oceania and Regent are two that come to mind) Fuel surcharge -- all lines reserve the right to add a surcharge if the price oil goes over a certain price per barrel. Very seldom it is done as it would raise the hackles of both passengers and travel professionals. Had this happen once also when oil approached $150 per barrel and amounted to several hundred $$ additional charge.
  4. They did do away with them....It was not the theft that was the issue but they ran out frequently because people took them of course to their cabins and they would not get washed until evening.
  5. and Malarone has lots of side effects - so they need to consult their physician some may be severe including sunburn and mental effects. There is nothing that that OP needs to be concerned in the Caribbean.
  6. Since the OP had a billing issue they could always use FB and the message function and chat with a customer service representative. Have used this with Verizon and T-Mobile to solve billing and technical issues with service.
  7. Really??? Did you read the letter. Cancelling the port because it does not have shore power. I wonder how many ports in the EU will be cancelled because they do not have shore power. Will they cancel all tender ports in the future like St Barts... Cancelling these ports means only one thing $$$$$ to NCL and their profitability issues. Shore power saves a significant amount of money.
  8. Talk about boring itineraries. Probably have to wait until Explora III and IV before they venture away form same old boring Med and Caribbean. Even repeating the same Middle East cruises which will likely change if 2024 sailings don't do well.
  9. Will post something in another month. Onboard on 5 Jan.
  10. It has always been a requirement for a Brazil Visa to provide all of the data they are asking for. At least now you do not have to personally go to the Embassy which was the issue in the past, and pay with a postal money order. You do not need employment data for a tourist visa. 1) Bank statements -- black out your account number. Account needs to show at least $2000 in there. 2) Air air arrangements in and out of Brazil. If you are cruising in or out a copy of your Regent cruise itinerary. If flying in and cruising out -- it was accepted the last time to have your air to home from your last port of the cruise. For those who want to let a VISA service do the work, you can contact CIBT as they are Regent's preferred Visa processor.
  11. For a luxury cruise line kind if ridiculous to have to pay for these..
  12. They did sell Regent branded reusable plastic to go coffee cups in the gift shop.
  13. 🙂 Could not let a 40% discount go unused 🙂 My TA had trouble getting in touch with Explora today -- lines are busy Booked a short 10 day for the Caribbean that includes an overnight in New Orleans..
  14. I use one of the many Internet TA's that allow booking on line.
  15. Tend to agree and even with this sale, I am sure there will be another next year. Looked at a Jan 2025 sailing on Explora 2 and it remains wide open. What are selling are the OT's for this winter Explora I Caribbean.
  16. Yes especially those that have fully paid. Otherwise your TA can request a refare.
  17. Black Friday sale... 30 to 50% off. Lots of limitations Only OT4 to OT1 suites Blackout dates (Christmas and New Year Cruises) https://explorajourneys.com/us/en/info/terms-conditions/the-exclusive-sale
  18. @Sthrngary good to hear all of your planning and questions went to good use. Time to begin on your next adventure. Very nice and balanced review. Agree with your conclusion that the OC suite is the best when you can get a great deal, as we did on our last cruise.
  19. The cheapest fare from US to Reykjavik is on Icelandic. Then ask which airline Oceania will use.
  20. We know there is a SINGLE forward elevator. But it was heavily used compare to the FOUR at mid ships. During heavy sea states that forward elevator was shutdown.
  21. not silly if you need to use a cane and have limited mobility.
  22. @tulok what ships are you comparing between RSSC and SS?? we are just completing Quebec to Fort Lauderdale on SS Shadow. a couple points. Do not do this late in the season. Weather is very cold and many of the port stores are closed as it is end of season. We are not a fan of the small Shadow ship. Quirky layout and stay away from Deck 8 and 9 suites. No through way from the cabin to the rest of ship. You must go outside in the cold and rain to cross from Forward to Aft. Food on Regent was definitely better than SS. Menus on SS lacked creativity. When in Maine and Halifax would have expected to see some fresh fish and crustaceans. Not to be only lobster was a frozen tail. our biggest issue concerned the coffee. The barrister machine in the Atrium was broken for at least 3 weeks. With this broken machine, the only alternative was a self service machine, which provided the most vile coffee. Management had plenty of opportunity to fly in someone to fix the machine. But HQ refused to do it. Maybe it gets in FLL.
  23. I do not want to hijack the thread. Please look at the SS Shadow reviews on cruise critic. . The last one is mine.
