We live further out..Our Town owns the airport..2 yr parking pass is cheap..and we are abt 10 min away! truthfully, we are usually in Fl for the season by the time our cruise dates roll around. But... this itin to Bermuda is perfect.. such a nice island..and on a ship other than Summit which usually had the rte. Lois R..would love to see you again..Hope u have a great cruise!

Have you done the drive? We actually prefer flying to Fla from our little local airport..ISP Staten Island/NJ Roads have been vastly improved, but the Belt Pkwy past JFK remains a nightmare! Even limos hate to go there!

To OP and others: pls see all the other threads that have tracked noise/ creaking reports..some with sound. The noise is apparently real, but no rhyme or reason has yet been offered. Some cabins get " fixed" after reports have been made ??? We had no issues on EDGE, BEYOND or ASCENT and hope all will be well on APEX

We love Bermuda but driving to the port from Long Island, NY is a challenge. Bayonne (Cape Liberty) is not our fav port to sail from ...other than the Sailaway views of 9-11 Teardrop Memorial, Statue of Liberty, and the Bridge. Guess it's a tradeoff! Still thinking about it!

Hope you can enjoy it... On BEYOND, we thought the outside Retreat area became crowded esp around lunch time..There was a limited food menu, slow bar service and pool hogs! Also some groups kind of monopolized their fav areas.. Not sure how it will be on crossing. We enjoyed it on port days when we stayed on the ship or returned early. and . .the expanded Sunset Bar area is a great spot to try on the ASCENT! Popular but very nice!

It won't be the 2 suites, but hopefully a location more to OP's liking. .We never book on the website...lots of pitfalls and we get better prices / cabins/ perks when we call in!

Hi Bo.. (an original EDGIE!) Glad you moved! From what we have heard (but not personally experienced) , an even worse area would be the Cafe prep kitchen in the back.. Lately, they serve fewer " cooked " foods and have limited hours, but we stay away from kitchens and bar areas! (supplies, extra noise) Best regards...Hcat

Great pics! Beach at Maho looks very nice ..were the planes noisy? We will be at Puerta Plata for our first time next Jan on APEX. We do not plan to swim..just stop at Cigar Kiosk, gift shop and buy a lite lunch and drinks..Did you eat or get drinks there? Heard there are nice plantings and a bird area in port or next door?? Did you see it? thanks

Why argue the fine points .. just find staff to do the job safely. Those umbrellas may have to stay closed on windy days! No.one would want to fly away or injure others!

yes, many like Jim and Jelayne ..are very helpful to those of us who are tech challenged (me), or make a mistake at times (me) or inexperienced with booking (not me). Help is usually much appreciated! For those who chide without helping or are just showing off, I hit my imaginary ignore button and move on.

just off ASCENT..You could take photos at port stops and at a few set stations each night..Some green screen, some near stairs etc.. The photography dept was very helpful. We selected around 10 8× 10s.. plus they threw in a sep pic of the ship and we bought a beautiful portfolio album. Had the E + discount.. They also loaded the images onto my phone as I am tech challenged. We also bought the Comm coins for ASCENT..which were very nice.

They used to have a vendor looking type cart at the entrance of EDEN..They had some magazines, and books but not very much! Bring your own books or a tablet. You can get the daily crossword and sudoku at Guest Rel

We use Royal BOA Card points and MUST call Celebrity to apply them. It is a chore but once it is approved the points show up..and we request a revised invoice reflecting it. Best is if we have enough points to reduce final payment but that's alot of points!

I thought so..At least these areas were used as designed..putting, bocce. On Ascent they have turned almost every space into a sports arena.. putting, curling, pickle ball..Not much for just sitting!

for AQ on Ascent we got the e mail twice..replied twice. Nothing but the mat was in our rm.. Room was too small to do much in anyhow!
