Fun plans.. sounds creative! I first went on a cruise to ARUBA way, way back with my parents..Our guide stopped at the then "New" to be opened Holiday Inn...Went back years later with my husb & it brought back.so many memories. Made many subsequent visits..loved dinner at El Gaucho! A very Special Island! Just in case you decide to wander! ( tripadvisor)

Brilliant review and photography. A new itin to consider..esp if we could book Dora for Cartagena. Thank you for sharing! On ARUBA, the Cactus Botanical Garden was spectacular.. esp if you can find it on a tour or get a pvt driver! Our tour had an A/c bus( not full.) Better for me than open air with all the heat! ( I posted photos in an earlier photo review..) If you just want a pleasant walk...there is a good sidewalk if you turn right on the main street..lots to see (nature and bldgs) , shade and places to sit. ( I covered it in one of my last reviews) ENJOY!

Comment: This is true but only 2 guests per cabin are permitted in AQ Class, so generally there are fewer kiddos/ teens in those rooms. We find the hallways are quiet.. Unless bad luck strikes and one gets noisy neighbors! On Royal, we have experienced/ observed unsupervised groups of kiddos : running the hallways, stealing room service request cards, riding elevators all day, defaciing items in Adult only Solarium, and dumping choc syrup over an interior balc onto the art auction space. X has a long way to go for that! And hopefully a better clientele.!

These are options that one need not select..Try the newer ships with longer itins..non school vacation weeks! Quoted poster has a long history listed with Carnival..so must have enjoyed it.. Some cruisers have to start somewhere..and maybe no longer want the Hairy Chest..

Is there any dry dock time in her schedule where this type of possible issue could be addressd? We are booked Jan 2025 in the Carib..Will be many cruises before that..so hope things are looked at & resolved..

We had a great cruise a week ago on ASCENT...no issues other than loud music and overcrowded at the outdoor pool. X is getting back to where it used to be with good food, live music, shows and guest speakers etc. We do not sail Carnivore and left Royal C yrs ago... I see no similarities!

When is your cruise? Are u going to book your excursion soon? As mentioned by KLM, .they book up quickly, and choices are then limited! You could always take a ferry and do something on your own...

Hope we get to see him.. sounds like a great talk..We have "enjoyed" visiting Mayan ruins in Belize and Mexico. Very bloodthirsty folks..esp in sports.. Can't wait to hear about today's Cartagena excursion! You posted an awesome photo!

update ..Jan 2023.. on ASCENT..same store.. Husb got the little leather card holder..expensive but I wanted him to have something as a treat..never buys for himself!

if its EDGE in an IV cabin.it is.going to be very tight..the rms are narrow. Rooms are not good for 4. If u can do it, get an interior across the hall and use that for overflow sleeping. Book 1 adult in each rm but put kiddos across. Plus you get an extra bathroom and more storage and privacy! Look for deals!

nice lobsta! BTW we get great meat here on West coast of Fla.. Many ranches mid state.. I guess you avoid most food in the buffet as it sits out for who knows how long.... Wonder what you'll dislike on your next X cruise!

The used handbags take up alot of space in a shop that used to be nice..now looks like a shabby flea market. We do not buy used (bad fengshui)

E mails said said we could pick 2 items that would be in our AQ rm...plus the mat! space was tight so we did not bother asking on the ship!

We were offered all that pre cruise twice for ASCENT, and made our selections..never received any other than the mat

NEVIS is a wonderful place to visit..whatever you do there! One couple we met later, took the Ferry over and had a guide take them to Four Seasons, where they booked a day pass. Live like the Rich and Famous for the day! it is suggested that folks book early on line for good prices and availability!

See all the Gaudi buildings/ parks that you can! Read a bio..very interesting! Modern City Planner! The Montserrat excursion is totally awesome... There is also a great music hall..pre book. tix or wander inside. We wandered in the Older city and discovered some fabulous Roman ruins, part of Barcelona Museum. We liked the main boulevard Las Ramblas. with restaurants/ market/ shopping. ALWAYS PROTECT YOUR WALLETS in the CITY OF THIEVES...even at the airport!
