Way too crowded! Which Buck Island was it? There is one near St Croix but this seems closer to St Thomas??? so how was the snorkelling..fish? coral? currents? Sad to say, we are done with snorkel adventures. I got caught in coral at the St Croix Buck Island (swift current). My husb rescued me, but got cut and had a severe reaction (like shellfish allergy).. lasted quite awhile . So now look for us on the glass bottom explorers!

true , BUT ships for X (going back to the 90's) , and some on Royal were conceived and built with Adult Only spaces..as well as kids spaces elsewhere! (Not all adults are Old Folks!) Solarium has quieter music, spa food, and hopefully a relaxing atmosphere..close to the spa!

precious! you have great memories.... kids brought on Celeb are treated to the same high quality family experiences they enjoy when on land.. Not everything is a carousel or water slide.. Time and place for that too but a cruise is so much more!

it does look walkable & beautiful! I speak a bit of Spanish so that's a plus. Hate to be somewhere we can't have communication. Tried my best in France but failed!

PS.. cannot locate our tix but pruce may have been higher..With discount maybe $150 pp all in but well worth it! lunch plate below Very fresh, well cooked Carib fish..dh had chicken. There was also a vegan choice!

Tour was a Celebrity Excursion: A DAY TRIP TO NEVIS WITH LUNCH,, $142.00 pp (they do not seem to number them anymore?) As noted in the name and prior posts above, it included full sit down lunch (choice of entree) and 2 bevs per person,,, From St Kitts you take a Ferry type boat for 40 people...with water and drinks to Nevis island...tours sort out at pier... Then the tour bus with guide takes over.. KENO bus was Modern, a/c, good sound system..no bad seats..plenty of room...After lunch and beach, the same Bus takes you back to NEVIS pier ( short drive) and then you take the Ferry back to St Kitts . Nevis and St Kitts are not land connected! No guarantee you will get KENO but he was outstanding!

We take ship's excursions.. Tour Bus broke down in Costa Rican rain forest..no idea where.....No worries...X sent a new bus and held the ship. So many other close calls! We only go independent where we can walk back to the port on our own!

put it a secure bag at security post....so they can't complain abt loss or theft..

This should be.. it's a health issue due to hot temps, and of course the pee in tub issues!

oh boy.. watch out for pushback.. Many "X" cruisers are very annoyed to lose the individual Butlers. I believe if they booked with the Butler included, they should have one..They booked wanting to be pampered. Sort of Bait and Switch to have done otherwise... Going forward, they should make a diff Category.."Junior Suite" with no indiv assigned butler, but with other Suite/ Retreat perks. That would be fair going forward, esp if priced accordingly and paying grats for a "non Butler" is harsh! We had a SS just before it changed.. Seems like she and her asst were always there..we felt stalked.. Had to bolt the door to take a shower! We liked the room and other perks but are more independent making our own res and fetching food. And more private!

okay with it..as long as they are properly supervised & well-behaved for kid standards.... AND, as long as the program does not Expand.. And still a no for kiddos or infants in swim diapers or using the hot tubs as heated pools!

Hope others will continue to report high levels of satisfaction with ASCENT...in all cabin categories!

Nice photos but this is not our fav pier in St Thomas.. not much in way of shops or food. We had to take a taxi into " town" or to the other main pier area..The ride was quite speedy and "wild". Booking a ship's excursion was smart.. You will likely go right from the ship! ENJOY!

Almost similar situation: We forgot to take our updated cruise line linked card with us for our recent cruise but the physical one we had with us was still good thru the end of this month. We used it for the small balance on the ship, and recently to book new excursions /dining for upcoming cruises etc ( double points). Although it is activated, once the month ends we will use another card in cases where a physical card us needed..just in case. if you switch cards at time you board, you wob't get the double pts, if that matters. we will re unite with the newer card next month!

What are your plans for the ports? Post cruise, hope you cover the flower show. We .hoped to get up there but not sure..We usually combine Orlando with visit to nephew in Plant City..not sure this yr We are just relaxing in Venice for now...

is there an actual hazard with the product..or it just violates the rules? Maybe you can get it online,

We saw an MSC ship close up in St Kitts the other day ... Massive and ugly.. like an apt barge. Not crazy about the bow shape of ASCENT but nothing as bad as the other one!

Hospitals and drs always had plenty of patients from the hefty scooter wipe outs.. Maybe the lighter ones go slower and are less likely to fall on top of someone who crashes out! Still unsure if the batteries can be charged on the ship?? They are a younger person technology so ????
