  1. Hope you have a wonderful cruise. What day do you board and what are your ports? Have you booked excursions or have plans for the individual ports?
  2. You don’t need to test to visit Canada so unless it’s needed in Hawaii I’d say it’s posted in error. If it makes you feel better you could perform the antigen test on your own and have that with you just in case. 🤷‍♀️
  3. If the winds and waves are projected to be getting worse someone needs to warn the surfer (under the battery level) in your waves pic!! 😱 🫣🤣 Keep up the great work Jim!
  4. You absolutely can…I’ve requested veggies that were on a different dish, extra veg instead of the potato, a different side than what’s in the description, extra dressing on my Caesar salad etc. If it’s not something they can do they’ll let you know but I’ve never had them say that, they really do want you to be happy!
  5. I love the exceptional entertainment that Eddy Jenkins lines up but I’d have had a hard time deciding what to do at 10pm last night…both the comedian in the Theatre and the Headline the Band in Sky sounded great. Hopefully one of them repeats later in the voyage. What did you do? Nice to have so many great choices.
  6. Jim, first off I’m glad you’re enjoying your holiday and I hope that the weather and sea conditions and onboard experience continue to add to your travel enjoyment. Now to the Luke story…like others, it just about brought me to tears. DH and I are also dog lovers and I can’t imagine how that officer got accepted to the canine program with an attitude like that, just unthinkable. My DH was a K9 officer for most of his career, although German Shepherds are the most commonly used breeds around here. Although our dogs had outdoor houses and runs they had plenty of playtime when not working and enjoyed their “home” to catch some much needed rest after a shift. Their coats were so thick in the winter that indoor time just made them hot and they’d stand at the door to be let back out lol. The dogs (he trained and worked three separate dogs through his career) loved going to work and were similar to pets when at home. Never chained up, fortunately we had a large fenced backyard. As each got closer to retirement they became pets and lived in the house, relaxing on the couch and enjoying their chew toys. They were all well loved and well cared for. I’m disgusted with the original owner of Luke and am very grateful that you were able to give him the life that he so deserved. Fortunately Luke’s treatment by the callous officer is not typical and most police K9s are treated by their handlers as partners with respect, admiration and love. Thank you for taking Luke in and loving him!
  7. May I ask what category Suite you have? That balcony looks a good size! Hope you enjoy a wonderful crossing and adventure in Europe!
  8. Although they are sister ships and share many similarities, Reflection has quite a few more cabins for the same capacity of the amenities including pool space and restaurants so there may tend to be more issues with lines for dining in Reflection and lounger availability as opposed to Silhouette. Suppose if the Reflection isn’t at capacity these issues won’t be noticeable tho. We personally love the Silhouette and just wish it had an M class T-pool 🤔
  9. If you’re just looking for juice and a smoothie you might have better luck at the Spa Cafe…lovely light breakfasts and lunches.
  10. In Feb on Silhouette they had Seagrams, Crown Royal and CC…hubby prefers Jamieson and they had plenty of that as well.
  11. I’ve encountered that situation before and there was a choice to “book anyway”…that way you can readjust your dining time later.
  12. Was there not a special lunch for Concierge class in the MDR? Or did you prefer the buffet because you’re solo? Love that the ship isn’t full, and so many sea days…should be quite relaxing 😌
  13. Especially considering you get the extra hour on Day 2 🤷‍♀️
  14. We got that same notice back in Feb when we boarded Silhouette in Ft Lauderdale. Once at the terminal no one even checked boarding times. 🤷‍♀️ Have a great cruise, I’m looking forward to following along having done a similar itinerary on Infinity many years ago!
  15. Love the M class thalasotherapy pools, so relaxing after a busy port day! Hope you get a chance to try it!
  16. We had Eddy Jenkins on our Eclipse to Alaska cruise in September, totally agree he’s one of the best! We had the basic wifi on that cruise and it was totally useless, could barely get our email and certainly couldn’t browse the web or even see anything on CC. We assumed that’s just the way it was to encourage passengers to upgrade. However, on Silhouette in Feb we had the basic again and it was great. So much better and were able to do everything we needed to, not trying to stream anything tho so that might’ve been an issue. Hope that the upgraded package works well for you and that it’s not a location or ship specific thing.
  17. Thanks from me as well, really enjoyed following along and love your style. A very fresh perspective. Hope you continue to post live reviews on your future cruises!
  18. Check that the amount you want taken out of your obc includes the additional gratuities/service charge. Could be why they want the cc so the total amount due is covered. You should see on the right hand side of the page the amount of the dinner plus the grats…that’s the amount you need to enter in the box beside the available obc. Bit confusing but if that’s not the reason then 🤷‍♀️
  19. Another live review! Can’t wait to follow along, glad the “lives” are all on different itineraries, we’ll be traveling to so many places in the next few weeks 😂
  20. We’ve booked Silhouette next May for a Baltics and we depart from Amsterdam but return to Rotterdam. Will be nice to gain an extra port lol. Fortunately the train and transit system in the Netherlands is good so it’s an easy ride to Schipol. There’s a British Isles cruise prior to ours…I’m tempted to add it to ours as we’ve never been so I’ll be paying close attention to your experiences. Cathy
  21. Wow, can you tell how popular you are? I check the boards and you’ve got five pages of posts in just a few hours from your original post lol. You def do an amazing job when you post and the info is so helpful to so many. I’m looking forward to following along on your adventure too! Don’t forget your passports! 😉
  22. We have family in NZ and while the flights aren’t too bad the huge time difference really gets to me, so I’m very interested in this cruise and the incremental time changes that hopefully help the body to adjust more easily? Your itinerary also looks really good…do you do any snorkeling on your excursions or are they more land based? Hope you have a great time and thanks for doing this report.
