  1. We came off the ship QM2 in September and my DW brought hers hairdryer. When she used the onboard one she liked it so much she will leave hers home next time.
  2. Our favorite app's of course in plate form..... Still remember the trolley in the Princess Grill on the QE2 with the Salmon laid out. The Different Smoke Salmon, regular or Scotch....Gravlax etc... Having so many Deli's in NYC and Brooklyn, we are lucky to have so many factories (smokehouses) that produce them. We use to have one in Canarsie we use to be able to go into and purchase...WOW the smell inside of the different woods. Use to love to stand there while that sliced the salmon and take in the smell. Wish could have bottled it. In Brooklyn's Greenpoint is Ace.....But really great retail in Manhattan is Russ & Daughters.
  3. ex, I too agree with the lounge being in the mid core of the ship but for a short time for pick up's. We did not read a lot there but was much quieter than the Library. The Library can be very busy with in and outs and you can see how those reading are disturbed with the traffic. Also bit be served in the Lounge and you have to buffet yourselve, it was nice and quiet to have Tea and Sweets compared to the one and only experience we had in the Grill Lounge. Crowded and noisy more than the Queens Room. To offer space to anyone wanting to Tea in the Grill Lounge was a task. People waiting till others got up. Items ran out fast. And area's for 4-6 were taken by 2's. So little room for Deck 9 & 10 passengers that wished to Tea. We accomplished our Tea relaxed and quietly in the Lounge and returned to our Cabin. We even enjoyed the Tea Time version at 3:30 on Room Service Menu on our Balcony sailing toward Quebec along the St Larry...
  4. We enjoyed the Lounge on this past voyage and was very very helpful. Doors on each side was open. Helped with Tours and changing times. Extra handouts for the Port of Calls to come so we can be be prepped to hit the street. Coffee or Tea all day.... Early days tea sandwiches....Private quieter TeaTime with all the fixings... Excellent and better Wifi connections. Quieter area for reading than the Library.....
  5. I too don't think so either. I know someone who also dips FF into Mustard.?????? FF with salt......good enough... I like Shoe Strings not College or Steakhouse
  6. Did 3 days overnight in Quebec and fabulous. Hope to do it again somewhere else
  7. Disagree respectfully...
  8. Get house in order. Pizza for Lunch..
  9. Each sailing with Females were excellent.
  10. Would agree with any arrangement to be able to enjoy one any of the restaurant's seafood meals they are noted for. The Peace and Serenity walking the streets so special.
  11. Classic Plate Sandwich with Chips, Pickle with the Professional Ladies behind the Counter in their Professional Uniform. Never, Never, Never did they give me a Potato Chip in the pile that was broken. I can still get a sandwich like this at a Check Board Counter at the 5&10 in Cape May NJ....
  12. Quote If not made right, too heavy, too thick, too rich and too filling. Sauer K, Swiss, CB on Rye. I have never seen anyone finishing one anytime in the past.
  13. We had Camila on QM2 and she was Truly a Gem! Beautiful and Extremely Helpful...
  14. Traditional all the way........That's what makes Tea traditional and easy to consume. Basic sandwiches were on the tray with the Champagne Tea on the Mary 2. One that was missing was Basic Egg Salad as plain as can be would have been accepted. One of my favorite books is a special Tea Manual from Plaza Hotel I inherited. Also one from a Madison Avenue Ladies Group that was a special gift. Everything from A to Z. I can start and never put it down.
  15. I prefer water as said since there is oil in Mayo. ??????? relish ??????. No way..... Toasted Rye ok or Sandwich White.... On board I like Tuna at Tea Time with Cucumber Thinly Sliced with Crustless White Bread....
  16. While I was having a Tuna Fish Salad sandwich for Lunch today I was wondering why it's not offered on cruises. It's a traditional sandwich like a BLT served in most restaurants that are fast food and food courts and deli's. I know that also tuna fish salad are made out of many tuna packed: Dry, Water or Oil. I prefer tuna out of the can mixed with mayo and some chopped celery. On a toasted bread or roll. With a slice of White, Vadalia Onion. What's your opinion?
  17. QM2 will give hard ice cream in the dining room but Soft is in the Kings Court.. The Hard Ice Cream is made on board. The on disappointment was the on Soft Serve was Vanilla. No Chocolate out of the machine.
  18. Since wheat is widely available and relatively inexpensive in the United States, Jewish rye bread has evolved to have very little rye in it at all. Most often the rye is found only in the sour, which is then added to the dough of wheat flour, water, salt, and commercial yeast.
  19. We didn't not experience any of this on last sailing. Straight forward charges as we purchased and posted. Has it been something particular to some people or particular cards?
  20. Sorry, personal opinion, my likes are original productions of plays and movies that them what they are. They would not be remakes if original ones weren't first made. I also don't care for when originals can not be produced as original have to have words and songs removed and/or altered. To each is own....I don't mine "you would miss a ton of great theater"...
  21. Unfortunately I like Original Productions and not remakes...
  22. On of the best souvenir are rocks or stones from various Port of Calls that reflected the ground and surface of the area ex. volcanic stone.
  23. They get it from New Rochelle bakery. Got a loaf and they kept the plastic bag on it.
