  3. I'll try on the other one: I added an s to the http: which usually works. Roy
  4. Thank you for the Tuesday report, Rich. Three great days, I do hope all US Dailyites are current with their voter registrations, and as noted in the quote a few days ago I hope I am strong enough to forgive when appropriate. Special wishes for safety of our Florida and Georgia Dailyites. We expect remnants of Ian over the weekend; it shouldn't be much by then but my booster appointment is for Saturday during a walk in a local park and I hope it doesn't get rained out. An interesting quote by a native of my state. I have not been to Havre St. Pierre, although I see Amera (former Prinsendam) will call next August. Today's meal actually sounds pretty close to my alternative, Apricot Soup, Rosemary Roast Chicken, and Peach Crisp as served on MS Oosterdam September 27, 2017.. 5. i assume you have luggage tags for either Fedex or UPS. You might try calling Luggage Forward to see if you can drop it off at one of their pickup points. Roy
  6. Canadian resilience seems to know no end. 2 cruise ships including HAL's Zaandam are docked in Halifax as we speak: There will probably be some substitutions but the cruise WILL happen. Roy
  7. I was really just surprised that Halifax could handle a cruise ship. I was thinking they would need at least a week to recover. Roy
  8. Today's sunrise is from a 2017 cruise on HAL's Amsterdam. On September 26 we visited Victoria. Roy

  10. Thank you for the Monday report, Rich. I like all 3 of today's days and certainly admire Gandhi's wisdom. I see the Zaandam on AIS headed into Halifax and find it hard to imagine they are in a position to accommodate her; that seems like a miracle. Agua de Jamaica sounds more like a drink than a meal. My alternative is Strawberry Bisque, Boston Lager Flat Iron Steak, and Pineapple Crisp as served September 26, 2017 on MS Oosterdam. 13. Are you taking the Pride back to Tampa, 10/28/23, perhaps a voyage you booked on the Ecstasy. Looks like a nice journey. The Pride was my only Carnival Cruise that wasn't Fantasy class, when she was sailing from Baltimore. I do enjoy those long repos, and was due to bring the Carnival Legend home to Baltimore last year, but of course it didn't happen. I am planing to bring Vision OTS to Baltimore next spring when it replaces Enchantment. Roy
  14. I have a had a good report on my relative in Nova Scotia. I think of him as a cousin but my branch of the family was very slow to reproduce and while Ron is several years older than me my cousin was actually his mother. He lost power for several hours twice but is now apparently has it back for good and is ok. Unfortunately, his sister is near Hilton Head. I thought she was further inland and will be thinking of her as Ion passes. Roy
  15. Sue refuses to get internet and right now it’s her house her rules. I assume that will change once they’re co-owners. Roy
  16. @dfish great news on the house. @marshhawk the ship will always handle ports at local time. On a westbound TA the clocks will generally change at 2AM, trying to stay as close to what the local time where they are would be as possible. Eastbound transatlantics are more variable. Some like Cunard always change at noon, so your days are shortened but you will never be sleep deprived. Crystal always changed at 2AM making one a bit tired if the cruise is short. I think on HAL it's captain's choice, sometimes 2AM and sometimes noon. My first HAL TA was unique. Twice the clocks were changed twice in a day, one hour at noon and another overnight making a kind of proportional although shortened day. I liked that but generally prefer noon time changes rather than losing an hour of sleep. Roy
  17. Thank you for the Sunday report, Rich, and the sermon of the day, Graham. Wishing a Happy New Year to our Jewish friends and support for our Deaf community. I used to love Comic Books but haven't read one in years. Thinking of @kazu and a relative near Halifax today. I think we need a balance between knowing things and being ready too look them up, but there are times in life (such as while at the wheel of a car) where you really need to know to be safe. I have not been to Monterey. The meal sounds nice. My alternative is Chilled Berry and Chia Seed Soup, Turkey Scallopini, and Banana Crisp as served on MS Oosterdam September 25, 2017. 18. At least as of 2017 downtown basis could accommodate 2 R-Class ships in the downtown basin. I was on the Amsterdam with the Volendam immediately in front of us: If the Volendam was in the outer terminal it was probably because of other ships being there. I think the Vistas and later may have bridge clearance issues. Roy
