  1. I am relatively new to Carnival, having only sailed once but do have 5 more booked, two in 2023 that is with a travel agent and 3 in 2024 that I booked myself online because I got a terrific offer direct from Carnival. All of these cruises were paid with various amounts of down payments according to length of cruise. The two for May, 2023 (b2b) final payment is due in February, 2023. Final payment for one in February, 2024 is not due until November, 2023 and final payment for the other two in April, 2024 (s2s) is not due until February, 2024. Today I got an email from Carnival asking for a payment on one of the cruises for 2024. Is this normal? I have never been asked for a payment before final on any of the other cruise companies before. The only one I have done with Carnival I made the total payment upon booking because it was a last minute deal.
  2. Was searching some other 3rd party port schedules and found this. Maybe there is hope.
  3. Okay. But why is this cruise NOT LISTED ON ANY CRUISE PORT SCHEDULES?????? (Yes, I'm shouting because I'm frustrated, not at you LOL.)
  4. I decided to go up the food chain for some answers. First I emailed arlenebrown@carnival.com. She is head of customer service. If I don't hear anything back I will email Christine Duffy at cduffy@carnival.com. She is president. Maybe others want to email too.
  5. Unfortunately I don't have that alternative. Our June 9th Norway cruise was booked with FCC from a cancelled cruise during covid with $600 OBC and non refundable deposits. When Carnival had their 50% off sale back in April we added the May 28th cruise. We already have the Venezia booked for February 2024.
  6. I am also on the May 28th cruise with a b2b for the June 9th cruise. I kept checking the flights from Newark to Barcelona and back from London every week for several months. The only nonstop flight was on United and the total price for just the two of us was over $3000. Fly2Fun was around $2200. I noticed the available seats were staring to dwindle so then I decided to book with FTF but now they were not offering this flight anymore. So I wound up using an exorbitant amount of miles plus cash to book with United. I have also put in tons of hours researching the ports to try to pick the best excursions. I have also contacted John Heald and he also assured me that this cruise is still on. In addition we have received a special upgrade email from Carnival which we did not take because we wanted to stay in the same cabin for both segments. Why would they do this if they might cancel? .
  7. I am on a b2b May/June 2023 and also have no tours for the Norway part and missing some tours for the other sailing. There is a tour company run by a person named Sandra who usually does these port tours too but she also has nothing for Norway. I asked her on her other social media page and she responded that she is having a lot of trouble getting vendors but should have them up soon.
  8. I also looked at cruises far in advance where there were no sailaway rates and only free at sea rates. When the sailaway rates were finally added they appeared to be the same or more than the FAS rates were then and now the FAS rates were at least $100pp more than they were previously. I once took a balcony sailaway rate and got stuck with the privasea balcony at the very front of the ship. Never again. Thankfully that cruise was cancelled because of covid.
  9. I had read that you can only upgrade to unlimited until the first full day and they will just take off one day from the total cost.
  10. When I booked the Epic back in 2017 for a 2018 sailing the show was suppose to be Blue Man Group. Then they switched it for Pricilla. Was very disappointed. It's been five years now so their contract must be up for renewal or something else.
  11. Also will be on the Getaway in Feb. but not your sailing. Was on the Breakaway twice and enjoyed the dueling pianos. Must sign up the first day for the production shows. Have to be at Syd's an hour before show to get a seat. The lamb chops and filet in Cagneys are my favorites. Their seven layer cake is to die for. Le Bistro's filet is great too. So is their mushroom soup and escargot. You have to be a big meat eater at Moderno. I was stuffed after the second round.
  12. The baby lamb chops were delish. Also the tempura.
  13. Living in the NY area I was happy to find a Meraviglia cruise in October that goes to the western Caribbean. I don't think any other cruise out of NY does that .
  14. When I was on the Enchanted last month you were suppose to be able to get the fresh brewed coffee in the buffet and the steakhouse bar in addition to the IC but every time we asked for it they said they only have espresso.
  15. I seem to be only one of the few who actually received the email on Monday evening. Two cruises that I may have been interested in seemed to have good prices but then when I saw a large TAs email for Princess they had the same price as listed as Captain's Circle price. So it seems I can get these prices without being a health care worker.
  16. As mentioned Ms. Duffy will be doing a live talk about the Venezia on Monday at 1pm eastern on the other social media site.
  17. We were on the Enchanted for 2 weeks in November and the fresh brewed was great and the cappaccinos were excellent.
  18. Oops...I was looking at the prices on my cellphone without logging in. Now that I'm on my computer and logged in, the prices are great. I just don't know if I can fit in another cruise for 2023. Wish it was also for 2024.
  19. I enjoy sailing from NY and like to do a winter cruise so when I saw the Venezia was sailing I booked the February 11 Journey cruise. I forgot about Presidents weekend and hope it's not teeming with kids
  20. We were just on. 14 night Princess cruise and the food was comparable to NCL. Good to mediocre.
  21. I received the email last night around 8pm eastern and glanced at the prices. They seemed higher than the regular prices a few weeks ago I already have 4 cruises booked for 2023 so will not book.
  22. I like cruisetimetables too but I also like cruise Mapper https://www.cruisemapper.com/
  23. I contacted John Heald on that other social media site and he replied that this cruise is absolutely going as scheduled with no changes.
  24. We are on this same cruise and the b2b cruise before so need something in Dover for the turnaround day of June 9th. Which place do you recommend to go...Dover Castle or Canterbury? Is the Dover Priory station in walking distance from the cruise port or do you need a taxi?
  25. Is there a minimum number of people that have to go on a tour? I asked on my roll call if anyone was interested in doing tours in any of the six ports in Spain and Portugal on my cruise. Some said they will review this company but no one gave me any confirmed interest. My cruise is not until May, 2023.
