We are booked on the Pride for the May 28, 2023 12 day Spain & Portugal cruise plus b2b with June 9th Norway. Although we have the Panorama, Radiance and Venezia booked for 2024, the only Carnival cruise we have actually taken was the Legend last April, which we enjoyed. The Pride cruises are so port intensive (only two sea days for a 12 day cruise and two sea days for the 9 day cruise) we thought it wouldn't matter if it was the same class of ship as the Legend. After we booked we found out that the Pride was going into dry dock after the transatlantic and we would be the first sailing afterwards. We had mixed feelings about this because sometimes all the refurbishments are not completed in time and they would still be working on them by our sailing. Then several months ago the May Pride was not bookable any more. Carnival told us it was sold out. Then someone on the other social media website pointed out that the May Pride cruise was not on any of the cruise port schedules. Many of us are worried about this cruise. I called Carnival again and was assured that this cruise is still going.

Does MSC allow you to bring your own cans of soda on board?

We will (hopefully) be on the Pride May 28, 2023 through June 9, 2023 leaving out of Barcelona. The ship is doing a transatlantic from Tampa in April 2023 and will be in drydock until our cruise. It has not been available to book for several months and we were told that it was sold out. But now it isn't listed anywhere on Cruise Timetables or Cruise Mapper. Should I be concerned? Just yesterday we got an email from Carnival if we wanted to upgrade to a better cabin but because we are doing a b2b with the next cruise and have the same cabin we didn't take it.

We were just on the Enchanted Princess D704 deck 9. Had to take the back elevator to deck 7 to walk to the piazza area or walk the looong hallway to the center elevators on deck 9. But it was great for the MDR in the back on deck 5 or the buffet on deck 16.

I have the April 27 thru May 4 2024 Panorama booked since last April. Will be really disappointed if they change ships as I was looking forward to going on this ship. Have only been on the Legend and will be on the Pride in May.

$5 for regular coffee or a specialty coffee? We are coffee snobs but don't drink alcohol.

I had the same problem last year. I was doing a b2b with an NCL transatlantic in Barcelona and when I went into my reservation to see if any excursions were opened yet I saw that they changed the ship to a much older ship and the date was a week later. No notice was ever given. I immediately cancelled and swore I would never book with MSC again but here we are, a year later, and since they are coming to my area (NYC) I decided to try again and booked another cruise with them. Fortunately no air was purchased yet then and happily no air is needed now.

I so enjoyed your review and loved your pics, especially the menus. We will be taking our first MSC cruise on the Miraviglia next October for 11 nights out of NYC. My DH is a foodie and was worried that he would not enjoy the food but you calmed his fears. I love the shows and was worried that they would be only for European cruisers but thanks to you I think I will enjoy them very much. Your tips are great too. Thank you.

With other cruise lines she can match the price and give me Some generous OBC. But with Carnival when I get these really reduced prices she can't match it. In the past she did and gave me a small OBC but not anymore.

Last Monday I got an email from my VIFP account to book the Venezia. The price was great so I booked the Journey Feb. 11, 2024 on line. Today (cyber Mon.) this cruise was $150pp more than last week for same cabin. My problem now is that my TA won't take any cruises I book myself at a discount because she says there is no profit for her.

Hi. Ellie and Dave here from East Brunswick, NJ. We have only been on 1 Carnival cruise so far but have 5 more booked including this one. We usually cruise with NCL or Princess but their new prices are very high. We enjoy sailing from NY and not having to fly.

Exactly. The Amex offer came out one week after I paid off final balance for my February cruise. Asked TA if I could change credit card and she said yes. But NCL said no one week later and took off the charge so Amex in turn took off the $350 credit. We had a hell of a time reinstating the Amex offer but they finally said they would but I don't have another NCL cruise booked and must use the offer by 12/31. So I'm hoping to pay the gratuities with it and get back the difference in cash or check.

Thanks so much. That is exactly what we want to do with $1000 from the Amex offer before it expires 12/31 and hope the balance comes back in cash or check, not to the credit card.

On the Enchanted last week the only good desserts in the MDR and international cafe were the cheesecakes.

I was already verified for my cruise I took last week. Do I have to get verified again?

I am so enjoying your review. Booked our first MSC cruise on Meraviglia from NY next October.

It was held right after the second theater show, around 10:15pm. By the time we got to the piazza from the theater there was absolutely no place to sit or even stand to see anything. Even on decks 6 and 7 and the staircases were full.

Only the entertainment was dressed in white and gold on the Enchantment last week.

Back in April we were able to book the Panorama and the Radiance balconies for April 2024 for their 50th birthday promo for 50 percent off.

Where do the points come from if you have never sailed MSC? We are NCL platinum too and got matched to gold with 5 percent off for our Meraviglia cruise next October.

Both myself and my husband are healthcare workers and only got 5+5 percent off. Voyagers and healthcare workers.

We are on the Enchanted now. Showing movies that you can get on HBO. Bohemian Rhapsody, Jungle Cruise, West Side Story, etc.

I know that if I download any offer on my everyday card it disappears from my husband's card and all the other Amex cards I have. I know some have said they can get the offer on two cards but apparently I can't.

On another note I usually get the Ruben sandwich at least once. On my September Joy cruise the Ruben was at least 3" thick and tasted like a hot pastrami sandwich at a kosher deli. We had it three times.
