  1. Hi. Ellie and Dave here from East Brunswick, NJ. We have only been on 1 Carnival cruise so far but have 5 more booked including this one. We usually cruise with NCL or Princess but their new prices are very high. We enjoy sailing from NY and not having to fly.
  2. Exactly. The Amex offer came out one week after I paid off final balance for my February cruise. Asked TA if I could change credit card and she said yes. But NCL said no one week later and took off the charge so Amex in turn took off the $350 credit. We had a hell of a time reinstating the Amex offer but they finally said they would but I don't have another NCL cruise booked and must use the offer by 12/31. So I'm hoping to pay the gratuities with it and get back the difference in cash or check.
  3. Thanks so much. That is exactly what we want to do with $1000 from the Amex offer before it expires 12/31 and hope the balance comes back in cash or check, not to the credit card.
  4. On the Enchanted last week the only good desserts in the MDR and international cafe were the cheesecakes.

  6. I am so enjoying your review. Booked our first MSC cruise on Meraviglia from NY next October.
  7. It was held right after the second theater show, around 10:15pm. By the time we got to the piazza from the theater there was absolutely no place to sit or even stand to see anything. Even on decks 6 and 7 and the staircases were full.
  8. Only the entertainment was dressed in white and gold on the Enchantment last week.
  9. Back in April we were able to book the Panorama and the Radiance balconies for April 2024 for their 50th birthday promo for 50 percent off.
  10. Where do the points come from if you have never sailed MSC? We are NCL platinum too and got matched to gold with 5 percent off for our Meraviglia cruise next October.
  11. Both myself and my husband are healthcare workers and only got 5+5 percent off. Voyagers and healthcare workers.
  12. We are on the Enchanted now. Showing movies that you can get on HBO. Bohemian Rhapsody, Jungle Cruise, West Side Story, etc.
  13. I know that if I download any offer on my everyday card it disappears from my husband's card and all the other Amex cards I have. I know some have said they can get the offer on two cards but apparently I can't.
  14. On another note I usually get the Ruben sandwich at least once. On my September Joy cruise the Ruben was at least 3" thick and tasted like a hot pastrami sandwich at a kosher deli. We had it three times.
  15. The shrimp skewers were better than anything barbeque in Q. Also the miniature lamb chops in Food Republic were delish.
  16. Are you continuing with the 11/5 cruise? There seems to be many who are doing a B2B. We are on that cruise and told the ship is almost full.

  18. So if you purchase $1000 OBC and you only use $100 do you still get $900 back in cash?
  19. We usually do carry on when taking flights. Since cruises started up again we have only sailed from our NY/NJ/Baltimore area so I started using the large suitcases again. My next cruise which is this Saturday calls for a one way flight back from Ft. Lauderdale so I have to go back to the carry on. I just put my shoes in and it takes up half the room. It's going to be a nightmare next May when we do a 21 day b2b where we will be in Spain & Portugal with lighter clothes and then go to Norway where we have to wear heavier clothes. Ugh!
  20. Royal Caribbean Rhapsody and Celebrity Apex both stop in Alexandria next year.
  21. I'm on a 5 day NCL Bermuda cruise in February. Was planning to take ferry and bus to caves. Hope we will still be able to do this. The excursion price is rediculous.
  22. I bring a portable lighted makeup mirror so I can put on makeup and do my hair without straining these old eyes.
