  1. I can't count how many Walmarts we've walked through domestic and International. Costco's too
  2. For the couple of things I might purchase..it's not worth it. $8.00 for the two of us to get from cruise ship to the Malecon sounds fine to us. For those spending months there of course pesos are a better deal....but I don't think the OP is one of those.
  3. Check often. I do. For some reason I've found some of my best DL deals late at night (I know this sounds crazy) but it's been true for every flight I've made for trips throughout 2022 and so far for one trip in May 2023...all business/first class. I usually book a month or two after fares open. Example...I booked my DL One for LAX-AMS in early/mid 2021 for my July 2022 (this Friday) flight. Got it for $3200.00 for the two of us...which I think was a great deal.
  4. RCI has no incentive to add the double point program again...the upper tiers are overflowing as it is.
  5. We cruise out of Amsterdam next Tuesday the 26th....hoping pre-cruise test will stop but doubtful RCI will make the change that fast. But maybe for our Sept 18th cruise out of Vancouver.
  6. Bringing the shelf milk is a waste of space. We were just on Harmony late April and those mini fridges were cold !!!
  7. Yes...Just across the street from where your ship will dock. We always do a walk through before we get back onboard. Just there in January onboard Navigator...You should be able to find most anything you might need.
  8. USD is just fine...We've been there many times to these ports on cruises over the years and as recently as January and have always used US$.
  9. OP...So you opened the corridor (fire) door and snuck to your cabin early...Hmmm !!
  10. We recently had Cruise Control pick us up at 8:00am at Port Canaveral off Harmony. We did self assist for all 6 of us and at MCO right around 9:00am. Very easy until we got to MCO and our flight was delayed and cancelled throughout the day...but that's another story.
  11. Agree...This ^^^^ We did this end of April.
  12. Call Steve (often a contributor here on CC) or one of his associates at the Trip Insurance Store. We've been using this company for years and their just amazing finding the best policy based on needs. 888 407-3854
  13. Was on Harmony end of April and it was way too rare for us at the Park Cafe. Hope you have better luck !!
  14. We actually prefer to (order) get local country currency that we'll need from our home town big bank. The conversion rate and the discount they give me and no fee to do this is a much better deal for us. We're not interested in finding or using a foreign ATM and we don't use a credit card in foreign countries either unless it's absolutely necessary ... one example where we would is at a hotel. What we prefer to do may not suit some but it's what we're most comfortable doing. We're getting ready to leave for Amsterdam in one week for an Arctic Circle cruise and have already picked up our Euros and Krone from our bank.
  15. Deanna, Steve's associate at the Trip Insurance Store is who suggested and helped us with the purchase of the IMG policy based on our needs. We're also not concerned about the medical coverage as we have GeoBlue Trekker for that.
  16. I believe onboard RCI ships all is USD...regardless of sailing itinerary...it was even on our Asia itineraries.
  17. Sorry...I should have said "trip delay". This policy was recommended based on our possible needs by the 3rd provider we have used for years. Just wanted some possible feedback from some very experienced poster's on this particular board that are always so helpful. But thanks for your question.
  18. Living life on "what if's" then just stay home...but then again things happen at home too
  19. You might check out RCI...they have some 3/4/6 night cruises during your time frame that sail out of Port Everglades on two great ships...Liberty or Harmony. Regardless, enjoy what ever end up working best for you.
  20. No, sorry I don't and more than likely it's changed from when we were there last. But do have the hotel call a taxi for you when you're ready to leave...they give your taxi the number of the room you're staying in and then wait out front watch for the taxi and he'll say for room # ??
  21. OP you can always just park in the cruise port parking lot. We always do and find it very safe and easy to do.
