  1. Interested to hear who your Cultural Ambassadors will be since my fav is on another voyage. I do have friends cruising with you...so take care of everyone on board. Must be nice to sail the Sapphire over. Will you port in Kahului or tender in Kona?
  2. I am guessing it will expire at local time, not time of submission from afar. Thanks for being the first to tip your toes in the water.
  3. You make an appointment through crew chat or a visit to Guest Services desk. You will have to jump through hoops...why would you want to speak to him/her....etc.
  4. You can always download it in the terminals with free wifi?????
  5. Yes, I did read "Medicare advantage" which I have secondary insurance (better than advantage). I have always been under the information that if Medicare denies (which I am waiting for)...it is sent to my secondary which will also deny. Great if my Secondary picks up 80% and AON picks up the other 20%. (or 100% since I have no deductible/no co-pay). Hoping AON will also reimburse $28 cost for medical records and postage (aka sheldon cooper).
  6. I have been told by my wonderful TA that she has nothing to do with EZ Air, since it is air fare. I believe her. Yet she has gone to bat for me (as my representative) on many occasions....and gotten results when I have had no success (example: last Canadian debacle with 60 minute connection). I trust her. I also like being able to do this on my own too. I recently canceled (outside of 45 days) an EZ Air flight to Montreal since I found a better fare directly with Delta. No problems. Fare fully refunded. It only involved a few dollars, but wanted full control over direct flight.
  7. I'm still dealing with Medicare....60 plus days later and waiting. Were you in US waters? I was in Canada...and hopeful that my Secondary will pick up the charges. If not 100%, then AON will reimburse the rest. Already received a check from AON for isolation. Medical Center costs is minimal to isolation reimbursement. So willing to wait this out. Medical was paid with non-refundable OBC so win-win.
  8. As far as I know (not much), Air Canada seems to be one of the few airlines that charges you to pick your seats outside of 24 hour check in. I wondered IF...I paid for a seat and something changes, do I still get to "pick" my seat on another flight? Haven't run into this situation, yet. My pet peeves are having to pay for a seat, pay for luggage, pay for this and that. Stepping off my soap box. I guess I could always sit in a middle seat or hand my carry on over to gate staff...... (aka sheldon cooper).
  9. Depends: 1. Regular (75% FCC) or Platinum (100% FCC)? 2. Okay with getting to next port later (in case of Hawaii...5 days later)? 3. Flying EZ Air or on your own? 4. Covered reason (fare reimbursed minus insurance). 5. Flying in a day or two early to avoid missing the cruise? Lots more to consider.
  10. I have a similar problem. I sent an email to my contact at group services a week ago. No reply. No worries. I will contact Events coordinator (not Loyalty and Events person as previous) once onboard. You will need to request a call from Guest Services since he/she has no front office). I will let you know how this goes. I don’t expect everyone signed up to show up. I’ve check marked the previous 5 pages of recent posts as an indicator of those still interested….and posted an announcement of limited space. I am not a microphone person, but may need one. Others have posted on the Roll Call that venue may change and to check the Roll call…day of.
  11. I’m glad you did that, but wonder what happened to the scooters? If they don’t fit in the cabin, where did they get moved to?
  12. I just checked my air fare for next summer. Booked (on hold) through EZ Air for London. Fare has gone up $300 in just a month. I haven't been serious about researching this yet. But booked as soon as it opened to get direct flights. Not worried since I am flying in 3 days ahead. Never worry about the flight back. Less chances of problems with a direct non-stop flight. I have come to believe that any blame is with an airline and not EZ Air. They are at the mercy of airline cancellations.
  13. There is a big difference if you are: 1. Looking for balcony partitions to be opened verses 2. Cabins have connecting doors between the cabin walls. Also, I do believe the aft suites do not have interior connecting doors AND the entry doors are on the starboard (for one) and port (for the other). No way to go down one passage way to enter both/either suites. I could be wrong. Referencing only Grand/GEM class ships. But still could be wrong. lol
  14. First one through the gates. I hope you will let us know how fast/efficient new electronic processing at Canada immigrations and customs goes in Toronto. Specifically, Will there be a long line (how long)? Will there be a fast track for those with ArriveCan (or wheelchairs)?
  15. Yes, hurricane season ends on November 30th. Try telling that to the weather systems. Hurricane Iwa hit the Hawaiian islands on the night of November 30. This is currently a tropical "wave". Google is my friend. What happens during a tropical wave? A tropical wave normally follows an area of sinking, intensely dry air, blowing from the northeast. After the passage of the trough line, the wind veers southeast, the humidity abruptly rises, and the atmosphere destabilizes. This yields widespread showers and thunderstorms, sometimes severe. What are the 4 stages of a tropical storm? Meteorologists have divided the development of a tropical cyclone into four stages: Tropical disturbance, tropical depression, tropical storm, and full-fledged tropical cyclone. When the water vapor from the warm ocean condenses to form clouds, it releases its heat to the air. How long does a tropical wave take to cross the Atlantic? one to two weeks It usually takes one to two weeks for waves to successfully cross the Atlantic, but many waves do not survive that trek. The waves may or may not contain thunderstorm activity. In the early part of the hurricane season, easterly waves are often dry because they collect dry air from the Sahara Desert. Hoping for the best (dissipates)....I don't mind crossing paths on sea days (NYC to FLL).
  16. Thank you for your example. I was on a cruise with my sister. I sent out laundry from an Ocean View room (not suite). I am elite. I had my name and everything on the tag. Her account was charged, not mine. It was easily resolved and thus my question. It was my laundry (she used the laundry room).
  17. What about laundry when one passenger is Elite and another not (same cabin)?
  18. I took the San Sebastian Excursion in Puerto Vallarta. Really enjoyed the all day tour. Others took a free walking tour (Google) but it seemed to difficult for me to navigate a way to the start of the tour. Also there are many vendors at the port. Save a few extra minutes to visit a few of them/shop. I also took the bus excursion that took me on a city tour (with stops at a couple of stores, of course). Highlight was the "free" turtle nesting spot near the dock.
  19. The information on Delta does not include my name nor my ticket number. I did print out everything that was possible (date/flight number/confirmation number/itinerary). I will check with Guest Services OB. Thanks for your help. FOUND more information. Thanks again.
  20. Any exception to cut off time? Delta changed my flight time (no surprise). Leaves at 11:18 instead of after 11:30. I took the above suggestion and printed out a copy for EZ Check (that's how I found out about the time change). I was really looking forward to this service. Guess I have an extra $25 (non-refundable OBC) to use elsewhere (crew appreciation).
  21. Yes as 1emerald1 described. No way will you be able to maneuver a walker down the airplane aisles. Do you also have a cane? You can always use the seats for support, just don't grab a head of hair as you go up and down the aisle. I would suggest contacting the airline via chat, messenger, online, or call and reserve a wheelchair. It will get you from curbside/ticket counter to airplane. At least it will be on your boarding pass and you can pre-board and get settled before the masses start shoving and pushing you out of the way. You will also get a wheelchair (after all disembark plane) to baggage and curbside or to your connecting gate. Service is complimentary, but tips are appreciated (I know.....).
  22. Most cruises are sailing near capacity. The easiest way is to select each category to see how many available cabins still are in inventory. Not sure why you want to know this information. If it is to decide when to book, or just for personal information, it is difficult to know how many are booked until you get onboard and get the sailing numbers from a crew member. This is a little more complicated than checking an airplane’s inventory because of the size of the ship and different cabin categories. I just return from a flight that was “sold out” but had empty seats.
  23. I have done May and September cruises to Alaska. I prefer May. Longer days, "better" weather (warming up rather than cooling down). Less passengers (maybe). Alaska is fresh and residents are happy to see you. Weather is never a factor for me when pick a cruise a year or more out. Most of my cruises to Alaska have had good weather. I know that this year, they have had some serious storms.
  24. Princess does not offer "traditional" dry cleaning. It is a different chemical process. I have recently asked for items to be "dry cleaned" and was told that they only do laundry items now. Not sure that is accurate. Other's have requested cold water...not sure about that either.
  25. Please keep in mind that the medallion (small round thing) is different than the Medallion App that works with your smart phone.
