Are you able to walk off with your suitcases? I think that would be essential. After one cruise, I walked off, and I took a picture of the radio / clock in my car... I was driving out of the parking garage at 06:55 But, that was a day where everything went perfectly. No all arrival days are perfect. I think the question is: how much risk are you willing to accept?

So you're really just making up excuses to cancel tips... None of the things you mentioned are in any way new. Cruise Directors on Princess take over lounges, piazza, etc and are loud... It seems like you have been on enough cruises to know that. There are certainly cruise lines where things are more reserved. And, I thought you swore off Princess after some covid issue. I guess the good thing about cruising on princess is that you can come here an complain! You're not the first, and sadly, you won't be the last.

Why would you even go on such a cruise? Somewhere, there must be another cruise line, or other vacation, that is a better match for your wishes.

Sideways inside. In that category, the upper berths are a major intrusions. I like sideways insides, but I try to get the cabins that only accomodate 2, so there are no uppers.

I forget which princess ship it was ... but the gas turbine was so inefficient when they were forced to use it, that they eventually added an additional diesel gen-set, to avoid having to spool up the dollar furnace. Before they did that, they had to light off the turbine whenever one of the diesels was down for maintenance. Only the Navy can afford to use gas turbines to power ships. After 9/11, princess collected cruise cards from disembarking passengers for a while... Lots of wailing about how I want to put them in my scrapbook, etc. I don't think many people would use a drop off box.

There is a service bar in the the various galleys for the dining rooms. You can see it during galley tours. It's like a stainless steel jail cell. Mostly bars, with a lockable door and pass through. I guess liquor walks away if it isn't kept locked up.

I have as well. A few years ago, princess had a promotion called "North to Alaska" They brought on copper river salmon, and a few other things ... fresh. Some special arrangement with the processor, for the season. The special entres were available in the Crown Grill. I liked it, so I went back a second night.

There is frequently advice here to put one's phone in airplane mode. Often the important second step is not mentioned... Put you phone in airplane mode. Then, turn wifi back on.
