  1. Somewhat OT but in Thailand there are 5000 7-Elevens and they're owned by one person/company. Some are right across the street from another.
  2. I was trying to think of a comment. You got it...as usual.
  3. Is this the end of this cruise? If so, will you spend some time in BA?The Italian food is SO good. And of course the beef.
  4. OPs post just said "marlin." Are there different kinds? I don't know. And, hey,how would it have hurt to ask the chef about it?
  5. I don't know what kind of marlin this was but here's a little more info. Is encenada considered Mexican waters/ I think they could have made another choice just in case.
  6. I've been waiting for the right time to share this photo. It was on our Hurtigruten Norwegian coastal cruise. The oldest ship in their fleet. A real pothole. No curb between the shower and the (small) rest of the bathroom. We couldn't both stand on the floor at the same time. Ship did have stabilizers and one rough night we would slide from the top of the bunk to the bottom - laughing every time. HAD A FANTASTIC time and had another one booked before covid raised its ugly head.
  7. I don't call you a "tree hugger" at all! Why didn't you ask the chef and/or the captain about this.
  8. I wonder if their other food tastes are less 'wild and crazy.'
  9. Hmm, just found out from my spouse that we're not using the CSR for everything, mostly recurring charges, like insurance, utilities, etc. For our upcoming trip to Europe we used our United Chase Quest points, which is our carrier of choice. Sorry for the confusion. Regarding one way when I book on UA/Star Alliance it's almost always like this trip, into Amsterdam and return from Stockholm. And on their site you click on multi-city. I just was really making the point that if our plans change UA/Star Alliance refunds our points, no problem. Again, sorry for not being clear in the beginning.
  10. But only government officials call it that.
  11. Please tell me you did some followup on this. Not just complaining.
  12. Not at all answering you. But would you be satisfied with 12 reservations for your trip?

    Thanks. I'll look.
  17. Okay. I get what you're saying now. But isn't this thread a groundswell?
  18. Is that what I'm saying??? 🙂 I've not given a thumbs up to any of these and I don't even read them NOW. It used to be my fave. So I'm definitely letting it pass.

Hey, thanks for that. I've used them for years..Is there something else?
  20. IIRC every intl flight we've taken in years has been on points. We pay every single thing we can on our Chase Sapphire Reserve. Our upcoming (July) flight (into Amsterdam and return from Stockholm) will be Polaris J business class. And it's so much easier with points. If you need to cancel you get your points back.
  21. Why not other venues on the ship?
  22. Those sound great! And SO San Francisco 🙂
  23. Here's a long article that does show changes going into effect this year 2024. https://www.imo.org/en/ourwork/safety/pages/polar-code.aspx#:~:text=The International code of safety, waters surrounding the two poles. We sailed on Hurtigruten and I know they were retrofitting some or all of their ships. I know they do "expedition" trips (is that what it's called when you get in close, go ashore etc. I don't know if it varies from other types of cruises. I have enormous respect for the involved countries who are trying so hard to protect this unique environment.
