  1. Was that list before or after the latest price increases?
  2. In this instance they probably could do that as the sailing date is in the title. Anyway, I will probably get a notice about hijacking a thread and posting off topic, so back to regular programing....😃
  3. Out of interest, would the mod's move it to a non existant roll call or would the mods create one, or, just leave it here until someone creates a roll call? Just wondering on what the policy would be. 😉
  4. Use the DART (local train). The station is very close to where the tenders come ashore. A day return ticket is €5 for an adult, which covers the DART only. If you want to use LUAS (trams) or Dublin Bus then perhaps consider ordering a Visitor Leap Card which covers Dart, Luas and Dublin Bus for €8 per adult for 24 hours. This is a 'hard copy' ticket and needs to be pre ordered and snail mailed to your address. https://about.leapcard.ie/leap-visitor-card
  5. The 21 day Med and Adriatic cruise, departing Athens on 23 June and arriving in Rome/Civitavecchia on 14 July is a collector cruise made up of a 12 day Med Empires arriving in Trieste on 5 July and departing the same day towards Rome on a 9 day Adriatic and Italian 'Splendors' cruise. So, there will probably be a good bit of repetition on the second cruise. There will probably be 4 dressy nights.
  6. I am delighted to inform you all that my Luck Leprechaun Name is: Cheerful Golden Balls 🙄🤣
  7. The gingerbread man is a 'badge' from CC at Christmas time. You can change your picture by clicking on it an then clicking on the 'Profile Photo' at left hand side. Todays picture is a bowl of shamrock, but will be back to the ship tomorrow or maybe the HAL 150 stamp.
  8. Please thank Pat for reminding Ellen & myself of these facts. Indeed St Patrick's Day is primarily a religious festival and the pubs were indeed shut (as they were on Good Friday, until recently). We do hope you will be able to cruise!
  9. Happy St Patrick's Day to all from a warm(ish) 56°F/14°C but windy and dry Cork. Usually the weather is a lot colder and wetter, indeed often sleet or hailstones. Corned beef is not a 'thing' in Ireland, but bacon and cabbage is the dish that most people here would relate with Paddy's Day. Loin or back bacon, cured (sometimes smoked) and boiled in a pot. The cabbage is cooked in the same pot. Historically, the Irish tenant farmers kept pigs for their own consumption as they were cheap to feed, could be cured to preserve and could be cooked slowly over the open fire that was the centre of their dwelling @dfish Darina Allen and her family run a cookery school and restaurant at Ballymaloe near Cork and they do a great Sunday lunch. Have a great day everyone.
  10. A sample menu usually only shows if you are not logged in to Navigator. Are you logged in and does Navigator recognise your booking? (Quickest way to confirm is on Navigator home page it will say "Your journey starts in xx days yy hours and xx minutes") If you are not seeing that then you need to log in.
  11. Thanks for trying! (also @kazu) However, it must be a 'thing' with some, as today I received a marketing email from Visit Lauderdale......you can see where I "filed" it! 🙄
  12. Phone on Android working ok (v4.35.0), but tablet on Android only worked after doing a 'force stop' (v4.34.1)
  13. Dates indicate the time out of service, not the actual dry dock dates. Drydock will end a few days before and the ship will sail to her next embarkation point. No idea where the dry dock is happening, but with the ship ending her previous cruise in Fort Lauderdale and the next one embarking in Miami, it would point towards the drydock being carried out Grand Bahama Dock Yard.
  14. It will really depend on how close your room and balcony is to the nearest repeater. I have had a couple of rooms which have had a repeater on the ceiling and the speed has been great, but if I am depending on a router that is situated in the corridor or a room that is two or three away, then reception drops. Needless to say, if you are in a poor reception area for Starlink then it really doesn't matter which ship you are on, but all other things being equal, reception levels should be similar.
  15. Day Return (Adult) is €5. Depending on your plans for the day, it may be worthwhile considering the Visitor Leap Card, which is mailed to you and costs €8 for 24 hours covering Dart, Luas trams and Dublin Bus (not hopon hopoff). https://about.leapcard.ie/leap-visitor-card
  16. Note to self! Oosterdam May 24-29 2025 Amway Korea Charter, Barcelona to Rome.
  17. We have used staxi.nl several times and have them booked again for April. Fixed price quoted online.
  18. Excellently ambiguous first post by A.I. 🙄
  19. GRRRRR! It is Patrick or Paddy, never ever Patty (which is female!). (for future reference....😉) @Quartzsite Cruiser happy birthday @Overhead Fred happy birthday to Mitzi. Today is my DW's (Ellen's) birthday.......she is ** years old today. (see, I knew it was a bad number when C.C. blanked it out just like a swear word 😂)
  20. I don't believe that I have had cash transactions in the last 3 years!
  21. I feel a 'McEnroe Moment' coming on, but "you cannot be serious?" Also, Scandanavian countries are almost completely 'cash free' and use cards/electronic payments for everything. There are places that don't even take their own cash currency never mind a *foreign currency*. Yes, in Europe and many other places in the big wide world of ours, the US dollar is foreign. Are there many stores in Dallas that will accept euros?
  22. What a mish mash of currencies.......ship's currency is US Dollar, Copenhagen will be Danish Krone, Norway is Norwegian Krone (yes it is different!), Iceland is Icelandic Krona (different again!) and Scotland will be British Pounds (Sterling). Iceland, Denmark and Norway are almost cashless, so now is the time to research a card (debit or credit) with no foreign exchange fees etc
  23. Apologies, I do not understand your question.........are you asking about a specific charter?
  24. @BDEM A late lunch in Hotel America after visiting the Alahambra is pure romance. We have often looked at the bedrooms that are visible from the hotel courtyard and wonder about the 'happenings' over the years 😉 We often imagine someone sitting in the shade with an old typewritter and a 'tinto de verano' struggling to write the novel that he feels is inside him. It is a lovely place with wonderful atmosphere. (ps forget pool and beach and loungers)
