  1. @Laminator Thanks for the info. Are these actual slot tournaments?
  2. @Laminator Some time ago (August 2022?) you posted a listing of cruises that were hosting various slot tournaments etc. Do you have an updated version available? I am currently updating the groups onboard listing. Thanks!
  3. How long is your ship docked/tendering. Waterford or Dunmore East? Some suggestions: Rock of Cashel and Cahir Castle, Mount Congreve House and Gardens, Clonakilty, Cork City HoHo, Spike Island, Bantry House, Gougane Barra, Jameson Distillery Midleton, What are your interests?
  4. In a similar vein I keep getting emails telling me 'It's time to checkout' (I hope they don't mean literally! 😱) Your cart awaits...... But, I cannot find my cart. The only way seems to be to add another item to the cart and then go in and cancel everything. HAL seems really resistant to online commerce.
  5. Did you use the Navigator 'Let us Know' feature? I have found that using the app to report problems, or indeed to praise, works best.
  6. Do take travel into consideration too. Rome to the port of Civitavecchia is a 75/90 minute trip with many options for the transportation. Trieste is 2 hours from Venice and much fewer transportation options (and much more expensive). Both Rome and Trieste have train options if you can all handle your own suitcases. Barcelona is no problem as it is a short taxi trip to/from the port. Ibiza is beach and sun (and party central), however the old town of Ibiza is lovely and certainly worth a half day rambling around the meandering streets. Personally, I would prefer Split, but having embarked/disembarked on two cruises in Trieste, I would really need a very, very strong reason to make me want to go there again.
  7. Falkirk, Scotland Sacrilege!! Even a sasanach wouldn't put that into print 😂 Seriously though..........Cruises around Europe do have duty free sales when at sea (been there, done that, bought the bottle 😉). Also, since Brexit, the UK is no longer within the EU customs union. We can even buy duty free flying/sailing from Ireland to UK and back. Booze cruises have returned.
  8. Suppose it depends on the length of the working day and the number of workers employed.
  9. Noordam has nothing scheduled on website between November 24th and December 8th 2024. Location would appear to be Singapore, so that could be the drydock.
  10. I don't know how they would handle it, but let's look at the facts as currently presented. On HAL's website it offers the option to pre pay gratuities/crew appreciation at a pre determined price. The website shows that price in the currency of booking (in this case euro). As far as I would be concerned, if you pre pay the amount that they request then rates of grat going up or exchange rates fluctuating will make no difference as you have pre paid the requested amount. It is incumbant on HAL to know what the gratuities will be on the cruise that you book before they make the offer.
  11. I think that the $400 OBC and HIA relates to specific 2024 sailings. This is different to the Early Booking Bonus for Mariners. But it all could be just a big mish mash of prices!
  12. Did you try on the Iberia website? you need the locator number. https://www.iberia.com/ie/faqs/seat-booking/ https://www.iberia.com/ie/manage-my-booking/?language=en&market=ie&channel=COM#!/chktrp Did you try the AA website? You still need booking number/locator number Depending on type of fare booked you may have to pay for advance seat selection.
  13. Thanks for confirming it's not just me! I have reported my post to the mods so hopefully there is a fix.
  14. Yes, it is a good rate to pre pay. But usually not as good as that rate! I would be jumping on that price as my bookings are showing that a 14 night cruise in April is €223.66 per person! The way it works onboard is that the full US dollar amount of the crew appreciation is credited to your onboard account and each daily crew appreciation fee is charged to your account.
  15. W11 with Chrome. When I select 'Next Page' it goes to next page ok, but renders to the bottom of the page and I must then scroll to top. Is this a forum setting that needs fixed or is it a setting on my laptop?
  16. Good Luck! p.s. which ship and when do you sail?
  17. Again they are not allowing you the amount already paid! Did you puchase the cruise from a travel agent? Can you ask them to refund the price of the Signature Beverage Pack or part of the cost?
  18. I suppose as 'new season launch' is a bit flexible, the end date needs to be flexible too, but it would be reassuring to have a defined end date, even if it does get extended. I would just hate to decide to book one evening and when I log in the next morning to make the booking, find that the bonus is gone!
  19. Yes! free number to Holland America in Rotterdam NL
  20. @SAB017 Have you downloaded the HAL Navigator app? That offers the oportunity to purchase Have it All. The price is €65 per day per person (for 2 in a cabin). Did you try to sign into the HAL website. You can 'Manage your cruise' from there. Did you try calling 00 800 1873 1873 (HAL Rotterdam)?
  21. Ok, that is something I have not seen recently. I am sure you could upgrade, but would it be worth it? Currently the price for HIA is €65 per day per person. You already have the main feature of the package (Signature Beverage Pack). The upgrade would only get you (a) basic wifi/internet; (b) credit towards overpriced shore excursions; and (c) a free meal or two in a speciality restaurant. Is there really value in that 'upgrade'?
  22. I believe OP is asking for the experience of those who were on the similar cruise in September 2023. Perhaps the port of calls board would be a good source..... https://boards.cruisecritic.com/forum/8-europe/ https://boards.cruisecritic.com/forum/19-africa-amp-middle-east/
  23. Do you mean upgrading the Signature Beverage Package (included with the Have it All Package) to the Elite Beverage Package? Then yes, it can be upgraded, but only when onboard the ship and you must upgrade before using the Signature package for any drinks. So almost your first job onboard! Both people in stateroom must upgrade. It may not be good value to upgrade, as you can just pay the difference between the menu price and the $11 allowance (+18% gratuity). Check the bar prices before commiting. https://rogerjett-photography.com/specialty-2/hal-regular-and-specialty-restaurants/
  24. We will be waiting for you! It will be strange seeing Nieuw Statendam in Cobh, knowing that 4 days later we will board her in Rotterdam 😃
