  1. I’m loving this! Thanks for taking us along! You’re reviewes are so good, it’s like we’re with you.
  2. We’re on the same itinerary in January. It will be interesting to see what damages there are. If there is major dock damage, I don’t know how long that takes to fix but I’m sure it not quick. We really love this itinerary because the only port that is a repeat is GT and I love it. And Puerto Rico is somewhere I’ve always wanted to visit too. It’s a bummer, but I’m sure if needed, carnival will change it around to allow us to have a good cruise.
  3. I don’t know how I missed that last time, unless it wasn’t there then. Thank you!!
  4. You’ll have to come back and let us know what Carnival does. I’m sure once the damage can be surveyed they’ll know more. But I don’t have a good feeling about your cruise going to GT.
  5. Is this in the same area where Carnival docks? I’d also love a mug!
  6. I watched the video a couple times and it’s really hard to tell what actually is broken away from the dock. We go in January and I’m a tad heartbroken with the idea we may not go. My little kids wanted to swim in the ocean and that would be the perfect location for that! I really hope the residents of Grand Turk are ok.
  7. Oh thank you so much for the info! I was just going to look into weather there was a beach or not. We’re headed there in January.
  8. How sad. Grand Turk is one of my favorite ports, and we’re looking forward to our cruise stopping there in January. As sad as I am for us that it may not happen, I hope the islanders are safe and their homes are still standing.
  9. I don’t have an ideal itinerary necessarily. I do prefer at least 7 days. We have been at least trying to book with a trip that goes one new place we’ve never been. What I would really like to see is carnival change things up with their itineraries and have a little more variety besides the same ports over and over.
  10. I just looked up the spa pass for our January cruise and I believe it was $179/week/per person.
  11. Aside from the storm path and itinerary changes, I’m also worried about the damage this storm is going to do given it’s so slow moving. These islands just don’t need that kind of devastation. And honestly, if any of the eastern islands get hit hard, that could mean cancelled ports of call for furtive cruises too.
  12. Typically though, if it was from a price drop you would have known about it. They don’t just give you money, you have to apply for the price drop and have it approved. Unless you have a TA and they did it for you.
  13. I am loving your pictures. An Alaskan cruise is totally on my bucket list. Are there many kids? Is it ever warm enough to swim?
  14. You’re right! It’s really not. And actually, if you’re purchasing legally, the taxes you pay on it is extremely high. People partaking in legal marijuana aren’t poor bums.
  15. We usually get the drink package. So I generally tip with my drinks. Yes I know I’ve paid that as part of the package. But I still add one, not every time. But I do when I have a bartender I really like.
  16. Wow, that’s an incredible itinerary. You should do a live trip report!
  17. Honestly though. I feel like the problem is that it’s legal in several states and easy to buy now. I live in Illinois and I could 100% walk into a dispensary tomorrow and buy whatever I wanted. I agree though, it is still illegal federally and Carnival should be enforcing the same federal laws. But it seems like they’re way more worried about catching smuggled alcohol or a banned electronic in your luggage than weed.
  18. Yes!!!!! I’ve been checking for this every day!! I love your reviews, thanks for taking us along.
  19. I just saw it. If you click on spa services in your booking it’s on the last page of offerings. I think it was listed for $149/week for my cruise
  20. Oh gosh yes, as a mom to young twins I just love that I don’t think about dinner or cooking or anything really!
