  1. That’s a good idea. My husband keeps an extension cord in his cpap bag and last time we just dragged it across the floor, but we were always worried about us or our steward tripping.
  2. I watched the weather channel as this was happing yesterday. Just wild to see!
  3. This was going to be my suggestion also. They hold a LOT of fluid. I work at a hospital and use them frequently. But I also wouldn’t hesitate to ask the steward for a change of sheets to have just in case of an issue over night. I’m sure they would have no problem providing that.
  4. That’s such a good solo price and I don’t foresee you doing better than that. I’d jump on it!
  5. If you’re talking about a flight home, yes you’re totally fine making a 12pm flight. We had a! 11:30 and got to the airport with plenty of time to spare!
  6. We have the transportation company named Cruise Control booked for our upcoming January cruise from Port Canaveral. They were recommended on the Florida departures board.
  7. I’m disappointed to see they’re charging for a carafe of coffee now 😞
  8. OP, yes you can bring soda. On carnival it’s 12 cans per person. You have to have it in your carry on and you’ll have to lug it around until the rooms open at 1pm. So I would suggest a later boarding time so you can go straight to the room. We brought soda on our last cruise with us because we knew we would never drink enough soda to make the bubbles package worth it, but I do like an occasional soda. We didn’t finish them all and our cabin steward kept them and took them to his cabin at the end. He was really excited to get them when we told him we weren’t taking them.
  9. On land I always have a purse with me. But on a cruise I never have. Most of my clothes have a pocket of some sort that I can put my phone in, and if needed my card. But I also have a lanyard that I can throw my card in too. I’ll probably bring some form of wristlet or something just in case I want it.
  10. It would be nice if they would dock in Cozumel and let people debark if they choose. That way if you needed to get home and you were flying maybe you could?
  11. It doesn’t show on mine either. If you go to your booking, if you’re on a mobile site, click the box with the 3 lines at the top right then click on booking and order details and it will show there, along with anything else you’ve purchased like the internet package.
  12. I was going to say the same thing. We had every intention of using it in January and now that testing mandates have been dropped I deleted it. If testing mandates come back then I’ll gladly entertain the idea of using it again.
  13. I would also suggest to do a later embarkation time. Walk around, sightsee, etc and then head to the port. Even if they let you off the ship to come back on I feel like it would just be extra hectic and wouldn’t be worth it.
  14. I actually like the concept of the neighborhoods in the new ships. Can they take it one step further? Bring back the balconies in the family haven area. I would 100% book this area for young kids but we are balcony people so no balcony is no go for me. Could they put these cabins closer to water works and maybe do a family focused pool area? That would draw kids to that area instead of the aft pool that could be more adult focused like it used to be.
  15. Someone mentioned the other day that they were having issues checking out when purchasing from the fun shops? What kind of issues is she having?
  16. Any news on what Ian is supposed to be categorized as when it hits the Caymans? My sister has a land vacation planned there coming up and is pretty stressed she won’t get to go.
  17. We’re down to 118 for the Mardi Gras and 622 for the Jubilee!
  18. My only caution would be to double check the cruise line to see if they have a splash area for children in diapers. I believe Disney does, maybe Royal Caribbean, but part of the reason we waited to take our kids is due to the potty training issue. If your kids aren’t potty trained and I’m assuming at 10mo the infant isn’t, there’s not much they can do in the water.
  19. Does anyone recall what time boarding actually started? We have a suite, but are traveling with our kids for their first cruise. We just don’t want to pick a too early of an arrival time and sit forever.
  20. I understand that. But what is supposed to happen and what happens can be very different things and I’m interested in the poster’s experience.
  21. Make sure you come back and let us know. We have a suite booked for January and I’m overall curious about the boarding process.
  22. That’s what I was going to ask. Did the OBC stay with the booking? If so I would have taken it!
