  1. I’ve changed cruises, but it’s not a casino offer. I typically book early saver and I have moved cruises a few times. You have to pay a penalty of like $200 maybe but everything else transfers. Like if you’ve already bought cheers, or water delivered to the room etc. and your booking number remains the same.
  2. It’s there but I cannot add it to my cart. And when I go through my booking and look in shore excursions it’s not listed.
  3. I guess I really don’t mind these changes. I don’t eat ice cream in the middle of the night, I’ve never ordered 3 entrees, and I guess the steak house rise in prices kind of sucks but I also get it. Inflating and costs are so bad right now, something has to give.
  4. I think from what I read it just sounds like they scan your license plate and send you a bill in the mail. It’s how the Kentucky one on I65 works as well.
  5. Honestly, I think it depends on your cruising style. But I think I personally would vote for the lido interior because it’s so much closer to everything. Deck 1 just seems so far from literally everything.
  6. Thank you! I appreciate that info. I’m used to driving in Chicago, so it’s the same deal there. You can go around tolls and save time or really screw up your drive, depends on the day.
  7. I’m wondering the same. We’re in a suite, and I just want to plan accordingly and pick the correct arrival time. We will be early to the port but don’t want to be too early.
  8. Yes, Waze wants me to go through town 59 to I45. We would likely go through mid day. Looking at the map, Texarkana looks like a good stopping point to spend the night so we would have a few hours drive in the morning to get to Houston, which would hopefully avoid rush hour.
  9. I’m on one of the affected cruises in January. Does anyone have a guess when shore excursions will be loaded?
  10. I’m not sure, but I think the books were given out on the Mardi Gras for the whole inaugural season.
  11. I really doubt it. I know Carnival is still struggling post pandemic to turn a profit and I feel like alcohol is probably the one thing they make the most money off of.
  12. I know there’s tolls but I’m unsure which road they’re on. I don’t really mind taking it, we have am I-pass that works most places in the US that we can load money on so that’s not a big deal to us.
  13. I’ll be following along. I love your reviews. I’m so sorry for the damage your property sustained from Ian, I hope this cruise gives you the well deserved break you need.
  14. Thank, that’s an option too. I was also seeing that I could take I-57 south to Memphis and pick it up there. That’s one of the main reasons I asked. Sometimes you just have to outsmart the navigation. I’d love to stay primarily interstate if at all possible.
  15. So, we’re considering driving to Galveston for our next cruise. It’s about 14-15 hours so we would break it up into 2 days. I’m kind of doing my research now because I’ll need to present the pro’s and con’s to my husband. Anyways, I’m plotting a route leaving central Illinois and Apple Maps, google maps, and Mapquest all want me to take I-55 south of St. Louis to US 67 through Missouri and into Arkansas all the way to Little Rock. Is US 67 a 4 lane highway? Also will there be traffic lights and other things to deal with since it’s a highway and not an interstate? I can avoid US 67 if necessary but it would add time to the trip. Does anyone here have any experience with this area?
  16. No, we’re the eastern route too. We were supposed to go to San Juan, Grand Turk and Amber cove.
  17. I’m loving your review. Thank you for taking us along on your amazing cruise! Your cabin is fantastic!!
  18. Will iMessage work with the premium Wi-Fi? Or not at all on any of the plans?
  19. I really don’t know. But we have already booked the Jubilee, and it wasn’t cheap. I’d enjoy it and take it as a sign you should book!
  20. Maybe this is part of their way of controlling the fights that were breaking out? Do they think people are drinking too much in their cabin? No idea, just a thought.
  21. Last time we cruised we got the social plan. I just really wanted to be able to check my emails, facebook and send a text or two. I never had problems getting iMessage to work on that plan. I don’t think you should need the premium unless you’re planning on doing more than a few messages. It will cost money though, but I thought it was worth it.
  22. Basically, it’s a free for all. You’re going to get so many opinions on this… But in past my husband has worn dress pants and a nice shirt, a suit, khakis etc. I’ve always worn some sort of dress but the night my husband wore a suit i wore a nice cocktail dress. Some people dress really fancy, others not. It’s really up to you how fancy or not you want to go.
