  1. When I do the math it looks like you were charged $80 pp for the upgrade and had a reduction in taxes. New fare $298 - orig $138 = $160 ($80 x 2). Orig taxes $200 - $164 = cr of $36, so $160 - $36 = $124. Was your $80 bid per person?
  2. @cusematt4. I’m not sure where you are looking as I get 65 results when I select alaska cruise tours for 2024. Sorry my link pulls up all land tours so page back to select AK as the destination https://www.princess.com/cruise-search/results/?resType=T
  3. There is a typo in the above email address. It should be sbpcl@princesscruises.com
  4. According to the .pdf 5:30-9:30 https://boards.cruisecritic.com/applications/core/interface/file/attachment.php?id=1540090&key=657e9bd764eba3978208aeb411f96471
  5. @deltahog this may be of more help to you. dining-options 3.pdf
  6. We did this back in 2018. We went from a balcony to an inside on a 20 day WC segment from Southhampton to NY. For the $$ I got back I would have slept on a deck chair! 😂. The amount of the fare (not the port fees or taxes) was given as OBC. The amount we didn’t spend by cruise end (which was considerable) was returned by check in about 6 weeks after the cruise. Total win win in my opinion. Being in an inside didn’t bother us at all. Spent more time on the upper decks.
  7. @TorontoTL you cannot hotspot an iPhone from a wifi connection. It will only work using cell service. Texting iphone to iphone using wifi only is no problem.
  8. Crab Shack is listed on the Princess website as specialty dining. It is not a daily thing but maybe once or twice a cruise depending on cruise length. It sounds like the pop up happened the day the OP decided to visit salty Dog. Salty Dog gastropub has never been open for lunch previously but maybe that’s changing.
  9. If you have an iphone you can do all those things with anyone at home or on board who also has an iphone. If you want to text with someone who uses android you would need to have What’s App and so would the person you’re communicating with.
  10. Yes, you aren’t actually purchasing wifi, but access to the inTERnet. The app works by connecting to the ships inTRAnet.
  11. Do not use your cell service on board $$$$! Whatever texting you do must be able to be done using a wifi signal only (apple device to apple device (no android), what’s app, signal messenger, etc).
  12. The medallion works while in your pocket or purse. Only time you “get it out” is to get on and off the ship. Your PS about ordering has absolutely nothing to do with the physical medallion. That is all done on the app which is not necessary. The medallion is stand alone and acts the same as the cards.
  13. It might be helpful if you said what the error message is and at what stage of the selection process it appears.
  14. Anytime. As an elite you should have been able to do it once booked. Go into the app>>dining>>view or book individual daily resos>>+add reso>>specialty dining
  15. You may be looking in the wrong place. In the cruise personalizer look under on board services tab and scroll to the bottom. It should list the items in the package. I don’t currently have a cruise booked now so I can’t provide a picture. Also for dine my way, often folks try to choose “dining options” which only works onboard instead of choosing “view and reserve”. Again I do not have a booking so the titles may not be exact. This may not be your issue but worth a try.
  16. With Apple you can change the time manually. You can then change it back to automatic when you have cell service. In settings go to general, date and time and toggle off the switch for automatic. Then click on the date and time in blue and make either the time change, date change or both.
  17. Or misinformed. The app absolutely works within 2-3 days after you book your cruise. Dine my way is the only thing I know of that states you will need to be paid in full, unless you are platinum and above. also, there are certain features that only work on board.
  18. Yes my post before yours was my experience with bottle purchases. We always purchase at least one bottle per cruise. Any $$ amount charged for a beverage on your folio will have the 18% applied!
  19. The 18% IS charged on the 75% remaining amount of the bottle purchase. Any drinks over the $15 also incurs the 18% on the difference in price above the $15. The person you spoke too was not correct. Tips are included only on the amounts that are included in the package (i.e. up to $15 and the 25% of the bottle). i have had the plus package for all cruises since the restart.
  20. This is no longer done. The final folio is emailed after the cruise is completed. It also shows on the app until you disembark. It is recommended that you take a screen shot (or get a hard copy) on the final day before you leave the ship as there have been reports of errors and erroneous charges on the last day.
  21. I attached the link, but you can find it by going to “on board our ships” then “food and dining” scroll to the bottom and choose “dining venues details and hours”.
  22. Food and dining PDF on Princess.com. Seems ocean now incurs the room service charge too. https://www.princess.com/downloads/pdf/food-and-dining/dining-options.pdf
  23. Here is the actual menu from the sapphire posted by PescadoAmarillo on her blog. $8.50 for pizza
  24. Those are the prices for the stand alone beverage packages (no grats or wifi included). They are never a good value. You might want to check the Plus and Premier Cruise packages.
