  1. I do not have a cruise booked and was able to access the flight quotes for a couple of selected examples except for a cruise that was further than 300 (some 330) days out. If your cruise is more than that, pick a cruise that has the same itinerary that is less than 300 days and see flights available. Of course things could change but you’ll have an idea of what might be available for your cruise. Flights have never been available to book before that window even if you’ve made a deposit.
  2. With our Kaiser advantage plan we don’t have to do anything directly with medicare. Kaiser is the only point of contact. Great that you have other coverage though.
  3. Note that Hobbes67 said “Medicare advantage”. Those plans have different coverage for travel than just Medicare alone.
  4. I believe Antigua has the 6 month rule. Check the international travel “learn about your destination” tab at travel.state.gov website.
  5. Are you going to Australia? I seem to remember somewhere that Plus is $65 in AUD without grats. I may be wrong on this.
  6. I know I could have but why bother. I’ll leave that to people who don’t want paid internet.
  7. I too have been able to use iMSG without the paid internet however it was pre covid. All my cruises since I have had the plus package so have not tested that this is still possible. Princess may have closed whatever “thingamajiggy” that was open before.
  8. You have to rebook. The Princess land/sea tours are one package and are priced accordingly. They cannot be booked separately. Please refer to your previous thread.
  9. Does it even matter what the countries policies are? Princesses policy is 6 months from the end of the cruise period…or you don’t sail. One policy no matter where they go.
  10. So it seems then he was charged $80 more than he should have been not the $44 he is trying to point out to Princess. The reduction in taxes should not be a factor as it’s the fare increase that reflects his bid and he may get further with Princess if he shows that he was double charged the bid.
  11. When I do the math it looks like you were charged $80 pp for the upgrade and had a reduction in taxes. New fare $298 - orig $138 = $160 ($80 x 2). Orig taxes $200 - $164 = cr of $36, so $160 - $36 = $124. Was your $80 bid per person?
  12. @cusematt4. I’m not sure where you are looking as I get 65 results when I select alaska cruise tours for 2024. Sorry my link pulls up all land tours so page back to select AK as the destination https://www.princess.com/cruise-search/results/?resType=T
  13. There is a typo in the above email address. It should be sbpcl@princesscruises.com
  14. According to the .pdf 5:30-9:30 https://boards.cruisecritic.com/applications/core/interface/file/attachment.php?id=1540090&key=657e9bd764eba3978208aeb411f96471
  15. @deltahog this may be of more help to you. dining-options 3.pdf
  16. We did this back in 2018. We went from a balcony to an inside on a 20 day WC segment from Southhampton to NY. For the $$ I got back I would have slept on a deck chair! 😂. The amount of the fare (not the port fees or taxes) was given as OBC. The amount we didn’t spend by cruise end (which was considerable) was returned by check in about 6 weeks after the cruise. Total win win in my opinion. Being in an inside didn’t bother us at all. Spent more time on the upper decks.
  17. @TorontoTL you cannot hotspot an iPhone from a wifi connection. It will only work using cell service. Texting iphone to iphone using wifi only is no problem.
  18. Crab Shack is listed on the Princess website as specialty dining. It is not a daily thing but maybe once or twice a cruise depending on cruise length. It sounds like the pop up happened the day the OP decided to visit salty Dog. Salty Dog gastropub has never been open for lunch previously but maybe that’s changing.
  19. If you have an iphone you can do all those things with anyone at home or on board who also has an iphone. If you want to text with someone who uses android you would need to have What’s App and so would the person you’re communicating with.
  20. Yes, you aren’t actually purchasing wifi, but access to the inTERnet. The app works by connecting to the ships inTRAnet.
  21. Do not use your cell service on board $$$$! Whatever texting you do must be able to be done using a wifi signal only (apple device to apple device (no android), what’s app, signal messenger, etc).
  22. The medallion works while in your pocket or purse. Only time you “get it out” is to get on and off the ship. Your PS about ordering has absolutely nothing to do with the physical medallion. That is all done on the app which is not necessary. The medallion is stand alone and acts the same as the cards.
