  1. The air credit amount is listed at the end of the pricing chart. $600 USD
  2. May of 2024 has a 14 night cruise, Vancouver to Vancouver, which does not repeat ports. It is a great option.
  3. Agree that the host or hostess are able to match people pretty well. I think they base their opinions on if the passengers have a good reputation with the wait staff: pleasant, patient, willing to interact, etc. I always hope they know me because I'm nice, not for another reason!
  4. Also known as Bonine in USA. Most pharmacies have a generic store brand also. It is OTC. Agree with @Nachosdelux on taking daily starting 2 or 3 days before boarding (I usually start it on the day I fly out to the port city). If it makes you sleepy, take at night. If it keeps you awake (like me) take in the morning. Continue taking 2 or 3 days after disembarking (I usually start cutting back to half dose when I get home for a couple days).
  5. Think all the Grand Asian Voyagers are joining you in Sydney, so a drill would make sense.
  6. Agree 100% with @rallydave. Book your own hotels in both Stockholm and Copenhagen, much cheaper. Also, take taxis to/from airport and port. Very easy to do.
  7. CWN, Did you see the 14 day Vancouver to Vancouver in May 2024? That is the one we are taking. Martha
  8. Thanks @GOARMY. For some reason when I tried to go from newest to oldest, I couldn't find our Nov. 2018 Amazon roll call, but when I went the other way, voila! So for those going on Amazon cruise, here is the info we shared in November 2018 (including Passport Health info and vaccination info at the time).
  9. Unfortunately they are archived (I just looked for our November 2018 for you all to read), but if you find a link to one of the archived ones in another thread it will still work. @Host Dan is there a way to find archived Roll Calls?
  10. @chengkp75 thanks for hopping on the thread and contributing. I learned a lot from you on the Cunard thread.
  11. Feel free to email me. Let me know your travel companions names so we can meet them during pre-cruise. Will look forward to meeting you all! mjjvance@msn.com P.S. it's our first Ama cruise, have been on Scenic and Emerald before.
  12. Add Regent Explorer to the list of hull cleaning woes. They are currently undergoing their third hull cleaning in the last two weeks. Here is the thread about their efforts: And thanks for providing the informative video.
  13. Answer is NO, Regent does not supply any gear. Only thing I took were waterproof shoe covers. They proved great in Manaus and on Devil's Island which were both rainy days. I also always take a small umbrella, because the Regent supplied umbrellas are too big for me! Only bugs we saw November 2018 were the moths on deck in the mornings. Did not take Malaria pills, because they can have a side effect of bad after taste in your mouth, and I never want that to happen on a Regent cruise!
  14. Did this trip last summer, and handled as you described: keep prescriptions in carry on with me, vitamins in checked luggage. Didn't have any liquid ones though. Maybe take a picture of Vitamin bottles if you aren't bringing the bottle in case you run into a question?
  15. Yes, but you need to sign up for it when you first check-in. It services all cruise lines, so you may stop at other ships before you reach Regent. Opted for the shuttle first time I stayed. Did Uber second time I stayed. Unfortunately we did not have a good Uber driver (couldn't find our hotel, then got lost finding Terminal J so we brought up Google Maps and directed him, limited English). Would probably use Uber next time and hope for a better outcome! Hotel is a Hampton Inn, so you know what to expect. Pleasant people, good breakfast.
  16. I've stayed at Hampton Inn Blue Lagoon twice before cruises. It is at the airport, so take the shuttle over. Has grocery store and a good Cuban restaurant across the street. You can take the hotel shuttle to port for $10/person or Uber over.
  17. We are onboard with you! Are you doing the pre-cruise and post cruise tours? Martha and Emily
  18. I cruised the Douro in May 2022 on Scenic for 7 days, so will mention the time of year recommended for this cruise. Our CD said the heat really starts mid-May (when we finished our cruise) and continues to mid-October. Early May was great. Late October/November offers harvest time. We never had a cruising only day. Usually a few hours of sailing in either the morning on the afternoon. As mentioned above, you can only sail during the day, but the ports are close together, so always a tour available. All tours were by Scenic bus, and the travel time was usually an hour each way. Also many roads are curvy. We did the Lisbon pre-cruise tour and loved it. Never been to Lisbon before. Also a great opportunity to get to know fellow cruisers. Did not do the Madrid post-cruise since we spent time there before we joined the Scenic group in Lisbon. Friends who did the post-cruise reported it was very good though.
  19. Definitely have your TA check to see if you can benefit from this. Out of 3 cruises in the next 2 years, 2 of them reduced in price. One by $875 and the other by a whopping $2300 per person! So glad I asked!
  20. Standard "single supplement" on Regent is 100%! That is why when a single supplement promotion is offered on a Regent cruise, it is a big deal.
  21. I think the person who mentioned the crowding and running out of food was probably talking about lunch. Dinner has always been empty when we have gone. P.S. agree lamb chops are delicious!
  22. This made me laugh so hard! Have only flown business class on the two trips I've taken in the last year thanks to the included airfare. Next week I fly from Tucson to Okinawa, Japan on my own dime, economy. Pray for me!
  23. Anyone who wants to continue virtually on the Splendor, @cwn has started a new thread:
  24. In case your question is serious, no additional tools needed, just a pen to fill out info! Plain rectangular have self adhesive on the back, and funky white ones you just thread through the rounded hole.
