Our 5-day cruise on the Sunrise leaves on October 30. The next day is Elegant Night. do they generally adjust Elegant Night if it falls on 10/31?

I just meant, will they move elegant night if it's on Halloween?

    Hi @canwegonow🙂

For many years that I can remember, on regular length Carnival sailings, if Halloween falls on an elegant evening, it will not be moved. I've only seen Halloween Elegant evenings moved on long voyages, such as a (for example) 12 to 14-night Journeys sailing or a Transatlantic sailing. Expect a Halloween Elegant evening combo. You'll have a blast!

    Have a terrific sailing!

What time does the buffet usually close after dinner? The last ship I was on (not Carnival) they closed at 9.30 which seemed quite early.

    Hi @Amyracecar🙂

I just went through a lot of Fun Times located Here. Most Carnival ships, the buffet hours for dinner is 6pm to 9:30pm. With a small handful of ships being 5:30pm to 9pm.

.I recently went on a cruise and in the middle of my vacation I started having issues with my cards on file. I had to sign a promissory form to get off the ship. Can someone please tell me how to pay it? Do I need to send a check?

    Hi @nammopoy🙂

Yes, you will be able to pay by check. The instructions are not on the promissory note itself.

You will get a letter in the mail with instructions. If you call Carnival before you receive the letter, they won't be able to take payment.

There is a process of getting the information from the ship & organizing the way to pay in their system.

In the interim, you will not be able to directly book a cruise until its settled.

I'm sure there could be a whole debate about this, but most likely people just don't think it's an issue.

    Hi @StephPS79🙂

Please take a peek at (Reply #6 in This Thread) & the links that I provided. In fact, you can find a lot of door slamming threads on every cruise line message board right here on Cruise Critic, going back years & years. Many people think this is an issue.

I wish people would be more considerate going in and out of the balcony.

    Hi @smithop🙂

I wish it were simply limited to just balcony doors. Slamming cabin doors, bathroom doors, cabinets, drawers, loud voices, thin walls & so on...

I've lived in an apartment for many decades (I get it). Many people do not understand. They're unaware or oblivious.

I will have to work some on the TA sailing next month. Where the service is best? I will be on the Freedom.

    Hi @bobbismith🙂

We have been sailing Carnival, Princess & Royal for many years. Whenever I want/need to make sure I can get a decent connection, I always go to the Atrium Main Lobby area of a cruise ship (Mid-ship).

Often sometimes closer to Guest Services as well. Or near the particular ships Internet Cafe area too (if the ship has a provided dedicated area with computers).

(Mid-ship Atrium Area) I've found to be the most reliable for important connections when needed.

    Have a terrific sailing!

Feb 3-8 Sunshine cruise to the Bahamas is $918 per person for an interior room. That's about what I paid for a premium balcony on our Alaskan cruise this summer. Are these prices for real?

    Hi @Titan_Cruiser🙂

I just looked up the Sunshine sailing for February 3rd to 8th, 2024. It says $449 per person for an interior cabin.

    Hi @Flossygirl🙂

I'll (tag) @firefly333 for you so they will receive a notification that will direct them here to your question.

I'll keep looking or just keep watching the Carnival itinerary and book it closer to sailing since we are two years away.

    Hi @dgc2861🙂

    Spirit's next dry-dock is:

    1/30/2025 to 3/15/2025

Thanks for the links. I knew I had read multiple threads over the years, but when I tried doing multiple searches in the search function in this forum, I got totally crap results back.

    Thanks so much.

    Hi @bguppies🙂

I agree, the search feature here is not the greatest.

I used Google & typed in:
