  1. Tee shirt and shorts at Glacier Bay is very rare in my experience!!! Always pack Layers!! ~Nancy
  2. I'm not Keith, but he is blogging on his previous site. I'll let him post the details! ~Nancy
  3. @dobiemom just now answered the question on this other thread:
  4. I was in a cabin on deck 5 aft on Rotterdam and right below me were the deck 4 aft verandas. They were huge! ~Nancy
  5. Are there are only guaranteed rooms available now for that cruise? I always want to choose my room as well. I'm picky about location! ~Nancy
  6. @Vicky L Note the shallower than regular veranda balcony in the spa category. For me, I would rather have a non spa balcony. Here is a regular veranda balcony on Konningsdam. Thanks halfacts.com! 6167 – Koningsdam | HAL Cruiser Information (halfacts.com) ~Nancy
  7. That's a very cool video! I can't wait to hear how you got it! Seeing your pictures has put a smile on my face!! Thank you! ~Nancy
  8. I stayed there twice in 2019...my first time in Australia. The views, of course were fantastic! The service was excellent, and I loved my room. I was in a Horizon Club room and the staff really took care of everything I wanted! The only change I would have liked would be a casual type of restaurant option in the hotel. There are a lot of options for food all around the hotel as well. ~Nancy
  9. We hope to hear from you tomorrow with your tales of a great day in Skagway!! ~Nancy
  10. I hope @Dr.Dobrois fine and just having too much fun to post!!! ~Nancy
  11. I can only answer these two: 2. Yes, you can only make reservations for the Pinnacle Grill lunch after boarding. It's reported here that they do sell out quickly as the lunches are only offered on sea days. I haven't heard that there is an official limit on reservations, but it depends how many sea days you have. The charge is going up some time after September 1,2023. Have a look at the other thread about it posted today. 3. Dutch Cafe is an order at the counter place. There are lines at the popular times. Some items run out. When they are gone for the day, they are gone. You can't get them through room service. You must order and pick them up at the cafe. ~Nancy
  12. Still is at 22:40 Pacific Time!! (California Time) I've been looking at it every night since it got straightened out because it's still light up there all night! Hopefully Clay can go alert them to the floppy camera again!! ~Nancy
  13. Yep, the model in the lounge sure does look like Harmony/Asuka II. That's her below!
  14. Windstar Star Breeze on the left, Ruby Princess on the right. 😮 ~Nancy
  15. Auckland to Fiji to Papeete then around the Society Islands and Tuamotus. I'm very excited but have to wait!! Boo! I just noticed in your signature that you are there on Panorama II right now!! Enjoy your trip! Any insights on how things are going there at the moment? I have read fairly current CC posts from Paul Gauguin. ~Nancy
  16. Countries That Use the Euro 2023 (worldpopulationreview.com) @doone The list is in the link. ~Nancy
  17. @KiwicakeYou need to respond quickly. That means you should have decided ahead of time if an upsell is what you want and how much you are willing to pay for one. If the offer is good, it won't last very long.....maybe only minutes!!! Others have been given the offer also. As the other posters have mentioned, be prepared and have all the deck plans in front of you!! Then, make that call!! ~Nancy
  18. There was no separate Club Orange Section in the dining room on Nieuw Amsterdam when I was last on in October 2022. There is a separate line to enter the MDR and the CO menu will have one extra entree option. You can ask the Maitre d' to seat you at a two top by the window. ~Nancy
  19. @crystalspin I was just typing the same thing! We keep doing this! 😉 Also, to the OP, check with the people on your Roll Call for your cruise. Some of them may have already found this information for your ports. One of these should be yours: Showing results for 'Sept September' in content posted in Rotterdam VII Roll Calls. - Cruise Critic Community ~Nancy
  20. Roy, the Symphony did check for the Australia version in 2019 before I boarded the ship in Valparaiso, Chile. New Zealand hadn't started their program yet in 2019 but have a similar online "visa" now also. It was easy and quick to get the Australia one. ~Nancy
  21. This picture that @crystalspin posted matches the picture on Cruisedeckplans.com for the cabin in the same location but opposite side, starboard, of the ship. (#4137). It looks straight out to the lifeboat. Koningsdam Beethoven Deck Plans (cruisedeckplans.com) If that's not okay with you, can you change it? It's a category VH. ~Nancy
  22. Somebody......Please help out this poor woman get her answer!!! She's been wanting to know about the champagne for ages!!! I really love her priorities in life!! 😁 Thanks, Terry, for the pictures. The ship looks soooo good!!! ~Nancy
  23. I appreciate you letting us know about the pool design so others with kids, and the ship crew, are aware of the possibility for this to happen. People with larger legs probably would never encounter this issue, but obviously it's possible for smaller people!!! Moving on to the fun stuff!! Any whale sightings yet? Does the band in the Rolling Stone Lounge play a good mix of types and eras of music? I have always loved the BB King bands but the fact that they were limited to a set play list was not ideal. I'm hoping the new, non-affiliated bands have more freedom to play what they like and are good at while keeping the guest's preferences in mind. I'm looking at a future Noordam cruise is why I'm asking so many questions!!! ~Nancy
  24. Best wishes for a smooth trip from here on! I'm so happy your grandson got unstuck and isn't injured. What the heck is there to get stuck on? I'm trying to imagine what it might be. The pool ladder? I spent 15 days on the Noordam in 2019 and really enjoyed the ship and with it being spiffed up a bit, I think it must still be very nice. I love the size of the Vista ships. ~Nancy
