  1. We recently sailed on the Equinox in a suite. Agree with you. Many nights we would order from The MDR, or just have the the always available standard filet. Tried the always available chicken dish by that celebrity chef. Once and done. Try it but wouldn’t recommend it. It was chicken. Our issue may also be because we have been in Luminae many times. The menu is getting boring and since we have tried most of the entrees there are very few that we would order again. Nothing has ever really stood out. Happy cruising 🌊🚢🇺🇸🌅
  2. Blu is open every morning. The only change is the operating times between a port day or sea day. The menu is the same everyday and as it has been for ages. Happy cruising 🌊🚢🇺🇸🌅
  3. From our experience that was always a joke. We had priorities for being in AQ and also Elite Plus. Most times those lines were longer. We would be directed to the shorter lines. They use to have a special section for the Elite and above to wait in and most times it wasn’t available or we didn’t need it. We would walk past it as we were boarding the ship. There was no reason to hang out there when we could board From our recent experiences having sailed on 8 cruises out of FL in the last year and half you should show up at the assigned time. You can arrive earlier but you will have to wait unless in a suite and you can board upon arrival. There may be some exceptions but I haven’t seen any This is my experience and others may have different ones. There is no right or wrong, or sealed in concrete. Take your chances. You may get lucky. Happy cruising 🌊🚢🇺🇸🌅
  4. We loved the Porch. Sad to hear. Thanks for the heads up. Happy cruising 🌊🚢🇺🇸🌅
  5. The best entertainment is always the classic horizontal bop no matter where you are 🥰 Happy cruising 🌊🚢🇺🇸🤬
  6. What does Bellagio have to do with a cruise? Happy cruising 🌊🚢🇺🇸🌅
  7. Some do charge a fee. I booked once with a double A airline. They changed $25 pp for the booking and any changes after that I made. If I change my cabin to a different location it was $25 If I asked for the reduced price it was $25. I used them once and done Happy cruising 🌊🚢🇺🇸🌅
  8. The TA that I use gives me group pricing and I can use my Future Cruise Reservation. I don’t use the discount warehouse. I am a member and just booked 2 cruises using my reservations. I checked the price at the warehouse and it was idiotic. They charged $600 more than the Celebrity rate and then gave $600 in a gift card. Why would I book with them? Happy cruising 🌊🚢🇺🇸🌅
  9. Here is the new form. You have 18 months to choose a cruise Happy cruising 🌊🚢🇺🇸🌅
  10. Never like seeing them except when we would get them in the mail. It is always a bad sign when on the ship. Happy cruising 🌊🚢🇺🇸🌅
  11. If that is the best view then why isn’t the Bridge there? 🤷‍♂️ Happy cruising 🌊🚢🇺🇸🌅
  12. I think suites get cloth bags. When we sail in a suite the bags are cloth. When in AQ they are paper. Happy cruising 🌊🚢🇺🇸🌅
  13. We were on the Summit and then sailed on the Constellation. Both were In Suites. We like Micheals club on the Constellation more. It seemed to be more luxurious and had a warmer atmosphere, the seats were also more comfortable. We spent many nights in there socializing with other guests. It turned into a little club where we would all meet every night and stay until they closed. The BT would constantly refresh our drinks when she seen we were getting low. It was a great time The Retreat Lounge on the Summit just seemed to have a cold atmosphere with seating from Ikea and not comfortable. We rarely spent time in there as it was always empty. We would get a drink and hang out but would leave because there were no other guests to socialize with. I have a few more cruises booked on the Constellation as I like the cabins that haven’t been ruined by Kelly and also because of Michaels Club I also don’t like how Kelly ruined the SS on the Summit. She eliminated a lot of storage and lighting. This is my opinion and I am sure other may disagree. Happy cruising 🌊🚢🇺🇸🌅
  14. Holiday cruises are overflowing with families. The average age is much younger than the typical cruise. The workers tell us that the ship sails with close to maximum capacity, that is 3 to 4 in every cabin. Those extra spaces are filled with children. I am sure that he will make friends to hang out with if he wants to. They have a teen program but many don’t like it because of the age range. My niece was 17 and said she didn’t want to be around 13 to 15 year olds. She said it wasn’t a good age to be on a cruise. She wasn’t old enough to be considered a adult and felt too old (mature) to be grouped with the teens. Being 16 there may be a problem if he wants to use the gym. I think the minimum age is 18. There may be exceptions if accompanied by an adult. I don’t really know as i don’t have to be concerned about not being old enough. Happy cruising. 🌊🚢🇺🇸🌅
  15. Be aware of anyone that approaches you to sell something. We were waiting in a bar patio at a resort in Mexico waiting to check in. We were having a drink at a table that was next to the beach. Our friend took off his shoes and walked in the sand to the water. While he was away we were approached by a hawk trying to sell us a timeshare. Our friend came back and couldn’t find his shoes. Apparently when the person was standing next to our table he slipped his feet into the shoes and then walked away with them. The thieves are pros and know all the tricks to take sometime while you are looking at them. They are like the illusionists. They can make stuff disappear in front of you. Happy cruising 🌊🚢🇺🇸🌅
  16. Replaced it with Bocce Ball on the S class ships . I remember back in the 50’s and 60’s they sold floor tile kits that people would tile their basement floors with that had the shuffle board court. When visiting we would go into the basement and play. It was a great time. Happy cruising 🌊🚢🇺🇸🌅
  17. The wine splits and small liquor bottles aren’t included The butler will stock with soft drinks, juices, the classic beers, and water. Don’t use the large Evian bottle unless you ask about it. Some charge and others say to use it. Happy cruising 🌊🚢🇺🇸🌅
  18. We were on a RCCL cruise and a couple that always sat on a table next to us in the MDR kept complaining about RCCL and constantly compared it to being on Crystal. On the night they served lobster was when they really showed their class. They told the server to keep them coming. They ate 5 and left most of the 6th one but kept complaining the whole time how bad they were and those on Crystal were much better. My wife and I are slow eaters and like to savor the food instead of one gulping like a dog. That is why we seen how many they had. They devoured them before we were done with our one entree that wasn’t lobster. I am glad we didn’t order it because according to them they weren’t very good and don’t understand why they kept eating them since they didn’t like them. 😱 Happy cruising 🌊🚢🇺🇸🌅
  19. Remember when Absolut use to be considered a premium vodka and it came packaged that look like a IV? Crown was also considered a premium whiskey. Now it is treated like a call or well spirit. All marketing Happy cruising 🌊🚢🇺🇸🌅
  20. We bought a hot tub because of sailing. We no longer step into any pool or hot tub on the ship. It isn’t just those that drink and don’t get out but I am not too keen on some of the personal hygiene of the passengers. I see many walking out of the lavatories that were in a stall and not washing their hands. Wonder what else they didn’t clean off? 😱💩
  21. How many days is the cruise? The cabins will be the same size. Blu is nice but our cut off point is about $35/night pp. for AQ on a S class. That is because the Persian Garden is nice. On the M class it isn’t worth going to and our cut off is about $25/ night pp. Any more and you can dine in the specialty restaurants for a few night or get a multi night dining package The MDR offers breakfast everyday and lunch on seas days. The food and service is just as good and the menu is actually better for breakfast. If you are celebrating being 50 it is actually your 51st birthday. The day you were born is number one. After one year it is your 2nd one. 🤗 Happy cruising🌊🚢🇺🇸🌅
  22. Here is also something to think about when trying to order the drink from there is may not be the BT that is familiar with the drink so it may not be as good We were in Sushi on 5 in the afternoon for Lunch. I wanted to try a drink. They get the drinks from the WCB. The bar isn’t open in the day time. They went to Cafe Al Bacio. They didn’t have the correct spirits and tried to improvise plus they weren’t the BT that makes them so they really didn’t know the correct parts. It was terrible. I am glad that I had the premium pack and didn’t have to pay for it. If you are in Luminae just ask for it. You could also get it at the end of lunch or dinner and take it with you. We will have a mixed drink along with wine just to try them and honestly they aren’t that good, but it also depends on the type of drink you like. I usually drink Old Fashions, neat bourbon, or drinks that aren’t too sweet. To me there are very few Martinis that I like or drinks from the WCB. At the WCB I usually get their Old fashion but made with bourbon instead of the rum for a idea of my opinion basis. Happy cruising 🌊🚢🇺🇸🌅
  23. On the Equinox they for drinks in Luminae they would go to the Passport bar as it was the closest. I knew this because we were sitting there and seen the Sommelier getting drinks. Do they make them there? Yes Can you order one if not in Luminae? Don’t know. You could ask when there. A lot of times it depends on the BT and your relationship with them, how busy they are and etc. If I ever try to order something like that I try to do it when no one is around because once it gets started everyone will want to do it. I had one drink that a BT would make for me as there was still some special spirits left over from a NOLA cruise. We were doing a B2B with that cruise. He would see me and ask if I wanted the usual. It was the drink that I drank on the previous cruise and he could still make until that bottle was gone. No one else knew about it. Happy cruising 🌊🚢🇺🇸🌅
  24. The Martini bar uses Grey Goose Cranberry Vodka and Cointreau as the spirits for their premium menu Cosmo. When the HH use to be held in the Sky Lounge they would have pitchers of some of the HH drinks made up. They also do the same for the drinks that they served at the Captain Club Reception. Saves time as it would be a nightmare trying to make those drinks individually. Did you see that it was vodka in a plastic bottle or was it Cosmos made up for HH? Happy cruising 🌊🚢🇺🇸🌅
  25. There is a difference between the Cosmos made for the HH menu and the premium Cosmo in the Martini Bar. Even if you have the Premium Bev Pack a Cosmo at any bar other than the Martini Bar will be like the one on the HH menu. I was told that the Martini Bar is the only bar that can make the Premium Cosmo as it is exclusive to that bar and they have the ingredients Happy cruising 🌊🚢🇺🇸🌅
