  1. Strange you are correct, I pulled up that cruise and a few others under the Apex and no menus showing. Switch over to an Edge cruise, pretty much identical bars etc on it. I saw the menus there
  2. Basic drinks like Gin and tonic, vodka tonic, etc are all based off the type of Gin Vodka used etc. So using the chart above Gordens gin would be an 11+ grat drink and the Tanqueray would be the 17.
  3. They all have it, you pick your ingredients and then they make it for you. It is one of the great options always open for lunch and probably dinner but i never really go to buffet for dinner.
  4. Disagree, I live in North East and have experienced shortages everywhere, and still supply problems, I have friends who owned multiple restaurants and had to close one of them because they needed to combine staffing into their others to be able to supply a good product for the place. Supply is better but still not good and costs have gone up dramatically for them. Hotels, still same shortages especially on labor issues. Yes the higher end might be a little better off but not much. The seasonal areas are having issues as I talk to places I did consulting with years ago, think golf resorts and upstate ny etc. The ones you frequent might be good but in general the hospitality industry is in a big flux right now with help and pricing.
  5. Really do not see it very confusing on using the obc. You have to look at the whole page but many I guess in a rush and miss where you have to specify obc or credit card. I find the bookings and site very easy to use and well laid out in the options.
  6. The ala carte dinner is included not the Tasting menu with wine pairing
  7. No worries. You’re correct it might not be a law but something similar to a tax that is put onto the cruise ships when serving alcohol in port. Same thing looked at blogs and some other info. Never per se could find the written thing from grand cayman but other lines are in the same boat with this. Does make sense that it is way to nudge more people to go ashore and drink etc there. I been to grand cayman enough and like you would be looking to spend day aboard. Tho I would be annoyed with cafe Al bacio being closed but I am pretty sure will be okay with the set up celebrity seems to be doing.
  8. From what I understand it still is, this is not just celebrity but I have heard same with Disney. Its a new law that went into affect in the Caymans,
  9. If not in aqua I usually get one, I use it every day sometimes twice. Especially nice on Caribbean cruises after a hot day in sun, getting all the sweat and lotion off you very easily. Also great for just relaxing and feeling clean. I know not for everyone,
  10. Exactly, I don't even hear about it until later on if I ask if anything funny happened with my reservations, long relationship with both my TA's use to work with them long time ago in the Hospitality industry. This happens more than one knows, and its just not Celebrity others are much worse
  11. I know the 10 day one on the Silhouette with grats is 165 + grats is 195 total. The daily last time I looked was about 30 I think a day pass.
  12. Like others said, many tip very indiscreetly, I know I do, I do have the AI package almost all the time and never have touched those and just let them charge etc. If I am in the main dining room/Blu depending on service, usually always above excellent and will tip the teams working my table, but it usually is a night or 2 before the last night as they servers are not as rushed, saying good byes and starting the turnover the for the next day new cruise. Honestly what others do, like others stated does not affect me in one way or the other.
  13. They use to have elk cove pinot Grus I know before shutdown on ships. Not sure anymore since I drink pinot noir mostly now. Easiest is find a sommelier and talk to them instead of asking bartenders or the menus. Like others said wine varies by ship it seems, in general supply chain still screwed up
  14. Thats why almost all the time when doing the math and looking at purchasing each thing indvidually vs the AI rate it works to be much much better for AI rate. I did one cruise without AI rate just to see and came out way behind overall.
  15. I usually go to WCB/Suset or Crafts social. Not into the big crowds and seen enough of the Martini Bar antics, if anything it's fun at Martini Bar watching the passengers
  16. No issue with this policy, still paying the same overall price at the end, if you didnt intend to book it and hoping for a sharp drop at some point Celebrity is taking away that option for some. I book a cruise and always intend to take it, I think only one was cxled overall before final as it was a b2b and work commitments made me cxl one leg overall. I agree with the larger deposits for suites, as they are higher costs for the room.
  17. Thank you for posting that, really can't understand why people can't do a little research.
  18. First question is how much do you need multiple devices connected to the internet at one time. Its not hard logging off and signing onto another device if need be. I have my phone that most of time is locked in the safe except in AM to go thru work emails and anything at home I need to attend to and then check on it here and there. I dont bring my computer anymore on trips and try to keep things to a minimum.
  19. Exactly as I did. I heard it in the background paid a little attention on some of the things but made dinner and relaxed while if finished. I do care in one way do not want Captain Francesco Schettino, tho I even doubt he is allowed near a rowboat at this time for any line, he was never with Celebrity
  20. And you don't think she has Celebrity monitoring and has guidelines on what she posts on the ship and what she does. So your saying Celebrity should not help their Face of the Ship Captains as its all fake what they do and post thru Celebrity.. Why do you even bother sailing with them since its all personality cults what they are doing in the webinar. Hey, I'm happy for her but it is important to understand she is one person in their fleet of captains and the others are just as good in there own ways just not known as well, don't follow her or anyone else tbh cause it's not important to me, but I get it others need to vicariously need to know.
  21. On E class especially they disappear quickly. I got one for my TA next year on the Beyond, and a week later were gone. S Class and M class they are around but do go quickly. If you think of it there are only around 70ish of those types of rooms available and once you sail in them you want them again. They are my default if the price is right.
  22. Find it very funny with people complaining and not complaining. So many can't get over and rave how personable Captain Kate is, and seems Celebrity is trying to do that with the other Captains and all people do is complain, so don't watch it, but then you will complain there are no Power Up points coming if they stop it. Very simple, I left it on and made dinner. Just cannot make everyone happy. I sailed with all those Captains and the hotel director in the past. Was nice seeing them in a casual get to know basis.
  23. Those are added features to the room, you get Blu and the thermal suite, you keep your current promotions meaning if you have a drink package/tips/wifi and any OBC from when you booked those will follow you to the AQ room.
  24. TBH many times I have asked for a plate of steamed broccoli or cauliflower to have with dinner as veg does lack at times.
  25. AT this point, I will only book refundable as work can change very quickly for me. I also never book directly with Celebrity and usually have a Group rate with the TA, which has the fully included and almost every time has been cheaper than the NR rate with no perks. I usually am a year plus out on my bookings and really cannot do last minute cruises, plus I prefer the 9-11 day ones. 7 day ones will not work. I have tried other lines and still find celebrity better all around, Princess, Hal, NCL MSC, Oceana (just had terrible service with them but agree with many others food was wonderful) have not gone with Regent or Silversea yet but eventually.
