Enchanted Princess to Join Princess Cruises in 2020

What is making me very happy (at least hopeful) is that if you go to the Princess.com page on the Enchanted Princess (https://www.princess.com/ships-and-experience/ships/ex-enchanted-princess/index.html) under "Ship Highlights" it lists CROONERS !!!!!

Looks like Crooners is back! I guess Princess heard our complaints about no Crooners on the Sky. So Happy!!!

That’s encouraging news for fans of Crooners & also under specialty dining The Salty Dog Gastropub is an option. Although until deck plans are available we don’t know where both of them will be located.

I bet it will be real noisy in the most expensive cabin, the Sky Suite. I doubt they will turn down the sound level of MUTS.

Also, the Wakeview pool appears to be not even 3 feet deep based on the person standing up in the middle of the pool in the drawing.

Try to find information on La Mer on the Sky page. It's all been deleted, except for the deck plans. Maybe Crooners is coming back?

I never saw La Mer listed as a specialty restaurant but the online deck plan shows a French Bistro and printed deck plans show La Mer. The just released Destination Collection booklet also shows La Mer on the Sky & Majestic.

People who contacted Princess about being upset about replacing Crooners with La Mer were basically told “sorry” but the change has been made.

Maybe after the Enchanted starts it's Caribbean route Princess will move the Sky to the Australian/New Zealand route and they won't have to modify Majestic.

It’ll be interesting to see how they deploy their new ships. Based on a CC article the Majestic begins its Australian deployment next month but have not read about any modifications: “Arriving in Sydney on 15 September 2018, Majestic will cruise locally until March 2019”.

It took nearly 6 years for the West Coast to get a Royal-class ship deployed there. The Majestic was promoted as being exclusively for the Asian market but quickly was deployed to Sydney for 6 months. That seems to indicate that Asian bookings were soft and/or that the Asian market during their winter prefers warm weather cruising during the Australian summer.

Sounds like a new name. I am still waiting for them to come up with Moon Princess to mirror Sun Princess, Dusk Princess to mirror Dawn Princess or perhaps even Evening Princess.

I think it’s a good new ship name even though it sounds more like the name of a Disney ship. ;)

From a business point of view, surely crooners would give a better return the le mer.

I was hoping for Spoiled Princess but oh well ...

All looks very exciting. Sabatini’s and Salty Dog GastroPub look really fresh. And yet there’s still people moaning on here already. We get it, you like the Grand Class ships and not the Royal Class ones.

Personally, we love both and cannot wait to book the Enchanted on Tuesday. Already chosen our itineraries; seven days / eleven days B2B combo starting in Barcelona on 26 September 2020. No repeated ports and includes Dubrovnik and Santorini. Yippee 🤗

We are looking to book that as well, as long as the price doesn't get too high.  The Canadian dollar is still weak against the USD.

Where do you find the itinerary for the the Enchanted?  Are the dates you mention the Inaugural cruise?  Would like to give it a try!

On the Princess section of these boards, there are postings of the cruises that will become available the next week or so. This includes the ones on the Enchanted. First cruise is June 18, 2020. It is 11 days from Rome to Southampton.

The photo of the Salty Dog Gastro Pub on the Enchanted Princess shows normal height tables and chairs rather than the tall tables with stools found on the other ships with this specialty restaurant.
