Thomson Cruises Reveals its Summer 2014 Itineraries

 

New ports in Greece, Turkey, Corsica and Russia, two new Aegean itineraries from Corfu Town, the return of Zadar in Croatia and a brand new 14 night Black Sea itinerary all feature as part of Thomson Cruises summer 2014 programme.

To be honest, a little disappointed. Like the fact the 14 night Black Sea makes a return (pity it's only being done once though) and a bit of a change to the Greek itineraries, although why Santorini isn't listed on anything out of Corfu?

 

Also, looking at last years itineraries, two of Dreams itineraries are exactly the same, with the other two only very slightly different by one port. A shame as usually they mix up the western Med itineraries a bit more.

Thanks for all that Sailaway – as you say not too much which is different. I’m surprised they’ve just gone for the one 14 night Back Sea itinerary at the end of the season. Thought it could be of more interest than to marginalise it. Hope Sinop is good – at least better than Trabzon which was pretty poor! We did the Monastery trip from here which was ok but the town itself is not in the least geared to tourism. Have to have a good ponder now – but think they should be very careful about introducing 2 sea-days in a week (glad it’s not across all their itineraries). One sea day per week is perhaps the strongest argument for us sticking with Thomson – certainly the reason we paid more to go to the Caribbean on Dream this year compared with P&O.

The Majesty itineries might be interesting but I don't fancy 2 calls at Turkey which is dissapointing as Kalamata is not too far from Sparta

 

Aegean deleights has the usual suspects with the highlight being Mykenos. Monemvasia looks a tiny place and what is there?

 

Italian flavours looks interesting with Valleta and Messina being new ports for me. However I suspect that, like this year, you can't combine it with a greek cruise, only an Adriatic one. I will have cruised the Adriatic next May so next year it might be only a 7 nighter.

Sorry, at the moment only the first sailing of each itinerary is coming up. But, looking at this years, I would think that Adriatic, like Dave says, will probably be every other week, meaning chance of Italian Flavours and Aegean Delights will probably be 0 I'm afraid.

Weve done Adriatic, it was fab but still lots of new places to see so dont want to repeat it.

 

Can you remember at what point last year the free all inc finished?

 

We are doing a stay then cruise on Majesty this year and would like to wait and see if we like that before we book if we cant do the two itineraries that we like ( if they are available tog will book straight away ) but dont want to miss the fee all inc :(

Hi, yes they will be as cruise deals is just a Thomson shop I'm afraid or a Thomson call centre, Thomson own them .

The Thomson net is always cheaper as it saves them staff wages if you do your own booking but most Ta' s, Thomson shops, cruise deals etc etc ....... will match the net price as long as you ask :cool::cool::cool:

but like a lot of things thoms....have gone downhill since the refurb

Oddly, Arctic Affair isn't appearing on Thomson's site either when doing a mock booking. I know its there brand new, almost 'flagship' itinerary from the UK for next year, but that still doesn't appear why it's not appearing. Odd? :confused:

Anybody else notice Thomson's mistake on their website today? The itineraries? Have a look at some of this summers itineraries, then look at the map. I have a feeling they've updated it a bit too early. :D
