I'm going to be upset if they won't carry the internet minutes over that I prepurchased for my husband. I figured that our Platinum minutes wouldn't carry over but when I purchased this I asked 3 times if they would carry over. Husband has to work a bit so he needs the minutes he purchased.

It’s Friday, a sea day and the cruise is almost over. Weather has been great all the way and today looks like it will be more of the same. These short cruises go by so quickly, but we are happy that we still have another and won’t have to vacate tomorrow. Then again, we will. Out of our suite and into a balcony. Boo hoo. Nice while it lasted. :)

Last night’s cocktail party was extremely upscale; they did an outstanding job. It’s been a very long time since we’ve had a party instead of a lunch and this party was superb. So many different hors d’oeuvres asmany drinks of your choice that you could handle. I was happy with my frozen margarita, a huge one.

So what’s happening this morning?

1. MUTS movie: Big

2. The Outlet Sale. Ooooooooooohhhhhhhhhhhhh

3. Culinary demonstration in the theater

4. Bingo

5. Trivia

6. Pub lunch

Afternoon has wine tasting (we’re going), more bingo of course, more art of course, horse racing, and Hitch on MUTS.

Tonight the Platinum and Elite parties (two of them; one at 5:00, the other at 7:30) World War Z on MUTS and Colors of the World production show. We are not planning to see the show; have already seen it twice in the past month and once before that.

Donna: they stopped the unlimited internet for suites quite some time ago.

Internet per se’: Awful here; very slow. Quite different than when we were on Christmas. I wonder what happened. Also, the very friendly (NOT!!!) internet guy said no minutes can carry over for the next cruise.

Gloria: since you mentioned the credits being in your account the 2nd day, I just looked. Woo Hoo………… lots of bucks showing. The entire cruise amount for this one is already there. How exciting!

Mike: no free dinner first night for suites on this cruise; she said under six days doesn't get it. West coast cruises being handled differently.

Breakfast time. See ya..........

Pia;

Enjoy the day......:):):)

I totally agree. 30's here tonight too. My windows and doors were open all day and I was in a sweatsuit. :) Going to be too cold tonight to sleep with them open, but we did last night :D

Ok...I had to comment on all these posts complaining about cold weather. It is not expected to get above 25 today where I am and that high has already been met and the temps are dropping. Last week were in the negative teens. They are talking that we will be in the negative teens again next week. I would love to be in the 30's....that's a heat wave. Count your blessings ;):p:D. FWIW I will be on the Ruby in March and I can't wait to get out of this cold. Thanks OP for yours posts. I am reading and learning.

Funny - I've been thinking the same thing but I think your blood gets thinner when you live in Florida! :p

Wendy: Riviera 415 and you do hear some noise, but not enough to bother us. Even last night when they did the ultimate deck party; didn't hear a thing.

Weather has gotten decidedly cooler today; too cool now to sit out on balcony. So now we know we are nearing Florida which for some reason is too cold for us. I don't remember ever living in a cold climate; been a Floridian almost forever.

Re: specialty dinner for first night. CC hostess told me no freebie dinner under six days.

Carolyn: I think you need to speak to the manager on day one just to get your ducks in a row. He needs to understand your prepurchase.

Good news for those getting on tomorrow and the subsequent cruises. The future cruise person (you know which one) is getting off tomorrow. At least this is one you won't have to deal with. Don't know who is coming on, but has to be better. Though I think there may have been some mellowing since the Christmas cruise.

Using my minutes now because I have too many to give up. ;)

Pia: Our Internet minutes automatically carried over on the second Ruby cruise last month. I hope your in-transit wait isn't as long as ours was. Two women ignored the repeated pages for them. We waited in the Wheelhouse Bar for over an hour before they finally herded the in-transit passengers down to see the Immigration folks. All we had to do was show our passports and in-transit cards. And then, since the two women had not shown up, they had us stand for 10-15 minutes and then finally let us sit down for a few more minutes before those two women finally showed up.

Neal: Our instructions are to meet at 10:30 in DaVinci and our minutes won't do it automatically since we have to change cabins. If we were staying in one place I know it would continue even though the mgr. said no.

Gloria: Gonna' do it. :D

I went to high school in Miami Beach.

On the rare occasions when the temperature went below 65 degrees, outside phys ed was cancelled because it was too cold.

When it turns 65 in Michigan they can't wait to get them kids outside ;)....Spring has sprung and t-shirts and shorts come out.

Good day today, especially when we won the big international trivia. What fun. We had to identify airline logos. Good thing we travel so much and with so many different companies. Sometimes trivia is very interesting.

Captain Circle party nice; we got Godiva instead of champagne. Hooray! Here are the stats. No mention was made about how many blues there are.

ELITE ……………… 296

PLATINUM …… 748

GOLD……… 641

RUBY…………… 364

I need to sort of pack now for our “move” tomorrow. I’ll try to check in again in the AM; still of lots of minutes which I won’t be able to use. We will be able to have room service breakfast, but must present in DaVinci at 10:30 to be escorted down to immigration for inspection. We were told we’d be arriving at pier 21, which is too far away to be of any use had we wanted to walk over to 17th St. I have enough wine anyway. :D

See you tomorrow. Goodnite.

We changed cabins on our Dec b2b and our minutes carried over. Maybe you'll be pleasantly surprised.

My Elite minutes did not carry over on Jan 13 from the four day to the five. I only had a few left though.

Up early gathering last minute things together. Enjoyed meeting you Pia and look forward to more trivia on future cruises!

You guys are so funny. I have to be up early this Sunday AM, but why you? ;)

Good morning all from cold FLL. Don't know the temp, but there will not be any breakfast for us on the balcony. While we wait for room service to arrive I thought I'd check in with nothing to say. Have already been to the desk to have our new cards punched and picked up my Americano at the IC. No freebie Americano today. I can handle it. There won't be any freebies for the next cruise anyway.

Knock knock; here's my breakfast. It's called a bagel and fruit. Mike has a lot more than that. :D

See you all later.
