Hello! We are booked in a full suite and I am an Elite Princess member. Does anyone know if you get double benefits if you are and Elite in a Suite? Would you receive the Elite Wi-Fi minutes plus the Suite Wi-Fi? The Elite mini-bar set up plus the Suite mini-bar set up?

This will be our first full suite experience and we are really looking forward to it!

Thank you!

There are no suite internet minutes anymore (they were done away with in 2011/2012). You will get 2 mini bar set-ups (one for elite, one for suite). You may have to call room service for the second but it won't be a problem.

You will get double the bar set up. One for being elite and one for being in a suite. But sorry to say, there are no suite internet minutes anymore. STill think there should be. If both of you are elite, then you will both get your internet minutes. But the bar set up for elite is only one elite set up per cabin - no matter what cabin you are in.

Enjoy your cruise

Of the apparent duplicates the only one of value is the mini-bar set up which as mentioned you are entitled to two. You can certainly ask for a double portion of in-suite Afternoon Tea or evening canapes but from reading reports on here the suite service of those benefits is noticably superior to the elite-in-standard-cabin version.

(And just in case this is what you were really asking: no, you cannot bring along an extra person to the elite/suite embarkation lounge or to priority tendering just because the benefit is extended to you "twice")

Suite internet minutes were eliminated a number of years ago.

Sure were. At the time, it was rumoured that the problem was that, because they were unlimited minutes, Princess had no way of dealing with the fact that some suite passengers were allowing others to use their account.

Whether or not that was the real reason, I guess we will never know, but if it was they could have solved that problem by giving suite passengers a defined number of minutes, but they didn't.

The folks I feel sorry for are suite passengers who are not yet Platinum as they are in a suite with NO free internet allowance.

I will be in that situation when I sail my 1st cruise on the Golden Princess November 11, 2016 Sydney-Melbourne. I've simply looked on the Gift Services page for the information, and chosen to purchase 4 hours of Internet time over the 3 sailing days. I have a website I need to check in daily to earn points, so knew to specifically budget for access. Any report will be done as a Word Document and the photos transferred from my digital camera when I get into the Melbourne hotel, and have peace and quiet to concentrate on the technicalities.

Am planning a maximum of 4 photos per posting, many will be taken and careful selection made to give as much information as I can. I've noted to do several postings on what is available at the International Café and Horizon Court buffet, as the selection might be too wide to get into just a few photos. Also noted to identify Where I am-venue and deck; What direction-bow, port, stern or starboard I'm facing; Whether I've taken multiple photos to get all of the venue photographed; What time for breakfast, lunch, afternoon tea or dinner. If I've forgotten anything that would help with the photos, please do post and ask if "this or that" could be photographed. Am hoping to get to the kids venues on the 1st day-upstairs is not possible for me, and I will ask permission of the staff before taking any photos, and will NOT include any kids for privacy reasons-not even back views!

Have eagerly read through some inspiring reports from other cruisers, I hope I've learnt enough from them, to be able to provide the information to those coming behind me and wanting the information. I have multiple disabilities-Legally Blind-only 10% vision, Cerebral Palsy so use a Rollator walking frame for balance, Osteoporosis and Asthma which are both controlled by medication. My viewpoint is very specialised re access and what interests me, but I'm very happy to go check out something specific for someone else if requested-my friend advised changing to casual clothes that needed washing, and going to the Cigar Bar to take photos, then heading back to my Suite and "freshening up" for the Elite/Suite/Platinum gathering. Oh and take your asthma meds BEFORE entering the Cigar Bar to take the photos, and you should be ok!

I don't feel sorry for them. Sure, it would be a nice perk, but if they can afford a suite, they can also afford to purchase an Internet package if it's something they would use.

Yeah, can't see feeling sorry for anyone in a suite

  • 4 weeks later...

So we are in a regular suite, and took advantage of the Sip and Sail promotion. Do we get double the specialty dining benefit.

There are 4 of us in the suite. Under the Sip and sail promotion the benefit is Specialty Dining for 2. On the page listing the benefits for a suite the specialty dining is benefit is described as Complimentary Cover Charges for one of the specialty restaurants on embarkation evening.

Does that mean the 4 of us can eat at the specialty restaurant on embarkation evening and then 2 of us can eat again some other night during the cruise?

Only the first 2 in the suite from what I understand the other 2 would pay.

What ship are you on with 4 in a suite?

I don't see the limitation to the first two in the cabin on the suite benefits that were posted. So I think that you are correct that all four of you can dine in a specialty restaurant for free on the first night. And two will get a complimentary cover charge on another night. And all of you can visit Sabatini's for breakfast!

The Ruby in PH R415. One of us is in a wheelchair.

THANK YOU! I hadn't known that the Ruby had a Disabled Accessible Full Suite-I thought it was the Regal Princess. I know about the Window Suites- will be enjoying the one on the Golden Princess in exactly 66 weeks time. And yes, I AM eagerly counting down the days!

While it means a higher cost for me, a Penthouse Suite on the Ruby does open up more itineraries. I'm going to check them out on the Princess website, and get an idea of prices for a future Milestone Birthday Cruise!

Enjoy your cruise!

THanks, I have been trying to figure out what changes other that the bathroom were made to make it more accessible but it's like a secret. I can't find any pictures. The R415 suite is the only accessible PH on the Ruby, Emerald, and Crown. I am really curious if it still has the walk in closet. The balcony looks pretty narrow for getting a wheel chair on. My disabled son is 6'3 and we need lot's of space. The price difference between the Mini and the pH wasn't that great and with all the benefits I felt it was worth it. I am really looking forward to the priority boarding for my son.
