Key Card Color

Can anyone tell me what color the key cards for the Royal Suites are on the Infinity? Personally, I hope they are the same color as everyone else's key card. I think it might appear ostentacious to have a key card of another color.

Also, can anyone tell me if there is a "private" area for RS guests by one of the pools or whirlpools? Yes, that also is ostentacious - but I can live with it!

Thanks.

Methinks you have your priorities reversed on ostentatiousness! :D

You will have a platinum/silver colored card with the words SUITE CLASS written on it. No private areas for any suite guests at any of the pools or whirlpools.

It's only ostentatious when you where it around your neck.

Our favorite was the suite guests who not only wore them on a lanyard, kept checking them to make sure they faced outward so that everyone would be aware that they were in a suite.

This was on the same tender as us, the same wine tasting as us, the same pool as us, the same show as us.

Big expenditure for the right of flashing that card. :D

What do we do with our cards. I don't want to carry a purse/wallet, and I don't like lanyards. Hate lanyards around my neck. What is the best way to carry one. I was thinking a retractable clip like I used to use at the hospital. What do you all use.

And all the other suite perks they get. As for wearing them instead of carrying the card what do you care?

I carry mine in my picket. My wife carried hers in her bra. It works. :D

For RS guests, just spend your day in Michael's Club -- after all, you paid for it.

I wear whatever color card they give me on a lanyard, even though I understand some people are totally offended by this.

The best way to carry your card is whatever you are comfortable with.

I keep my card in my pocket and when I use it for something I do not care if others note it. I hate the emperor's clothes mentality that artificially imposes on travelers an illusion of class-like superiority or inferiority. You are nice to want to avoid being show-y. But I say just dive in, have fun, experience the experience, treat everyone well, and ignore the call to classism otherwise.

Pockets....all my shorts/capris have pockets for during the day. And if

I am in a bathing suit, my cover up usually has pockets too.

Evenings, I use a small cross body bag for my card and other small

accessories.....money for the casino too;).....tissue, glasses, etc.

As for the color of the card....who cares?:D...whatever the color happens

to be....no reason for anyone to care what color someone else's card

is....

Pools, no private area for suite guests.

I never look at anyone's card. But I think they make the cards different colors so that crew can see the different colors. For example, the hostess in Blu can quickly glance at the card color to see if the people coming in are AQ guests.

Are you on strike when you carry your ship card in your picket? As for me, I just put it in a wallet. So far no one's tried to pickit out of my pocket.

Since I wear a badge on a lanyard at least 10 - 12 hours per day 5 days a week, I've learned not to even notice it on myself - much less worry about what other people think. We have our own "badge caste" system; pins that progress in color from silver to gold base on years of service... and yeah, some people comment on it if you have more silver than gold in your pin. The only real problem is when I forget to take the badge off at lunch, stop by Walmart, and people come up to me asking for help finding something. :D

In any case, that's what I'm planning on doing for our first cruise on 9th August; in fact, I bought matching lanyards from our company store for the other 9 people in our group. I'd call it free advertising, except I had to pay for it.
