Rare Keith1010 Posted September 9, 2015 #2 Share Posted September 9, 2015 11:50 AM would be fine. Keith
CruiserBruce Posted September 9, 2015 #3 Share Posted September 9, 2015 If you look on the Florida Departure board, you will see this topic discussed almost daily. Getting from Port of Miami to FLL makes this a little too tight for my taste. Bare in mind you will be arriving into FLL with the tens of thousands of people getting off ships in Port Everglades arriving there at the same time. It is doable, but tight. Rare Keith1010 Posted September 9, 2015 #4 Share Posted September 9, 2015 My mistake. I didn't catch FTL airport when I responded. Yes 11:50 is on the edge. If everything goes right you make it but that is not always the case. A flight at 12:30 or later would be better. Keith

You are not just dealing with the tens of thousands of cruise passengers heading home that Saturday - it is also a turn-over day for renting land vacationers. FLL does not handle heavy passenger loads that well. The timing, while fine for most days, is very tight for the day in question.
ithaca gal Posted September 9, 2015 #6 Share Posted September 9, 2015 It's possible to make it but what if you don't?
cb at sea Posted September 9, 2015 #7 Share Posted September 9, 2015 If you were at Port Everglades, it would be fine. From Miami? I would schedule around 1 pm.
sail7seas Posted September 9, 2015 #8 Share Posted September 9, 2015 I would not risk it. Clearing CBP Inspection can be a lengthy process on a weekend when there are lots of ships in port. You could make it but you also stand a fairly decent chance of long lines to clear security at the airport and you are cutting it too close, IMO

Krazy Kruizers Posted September 10, 2015 #10 Share Posted September 10, 2015 Good to hear that you are going to book a later flight. You don't want to be stressed about making a flight after having a wonderful cruise.
