Passengers behaviour!

Maybe he should read the thread about how often folks get ejected from cruise ships? ;)

At the Port Canaveral stop on our Breakaway cruise we saw a young lady escorted of the ship in handcuffs as we were lining up to debark. We heard later that she caused a disturbance at the pool bar the night before.

After living in St Thomas for several years, I wanted to go back & so booked the cruise on the Escape. On our other cruises, that have included the Med & Alaska, we've had very few problems. I hope this continues to be the case.

The idea of just waking them early is a great one, especially since I'm up at 0530 lol. Thankfully this has never happened to me. I would hope a call to security would fix this also. If security can't fix it after the second call, and the powers at be wont help, then my next phone call is to every crew members phone until I reach the captain. Every cabin has a phone and so will all the top brass. As soon as they get woken up, this problem will be solved

You do realise that the phone number of the cabin is the cabin number? 6 am alarm calls are a pain when you did not order one. Just saying...;)

I simply don't understand. There are Cruise for the elderly, from what I've heard some of the more expensive lines tend to only attract an older crowd. If you are sensitive about noise why not Cruise those lines? Yes you have the right to Cruise whichever one you want but Norwegian is now purposely attracting that younger crowd so there's going to be a lot more noise and partying on those ships.

Surely you are not implying that only the elderly value their sleep at 3 a.m.?

And your logic is flawed as to who NCL caters to. They cater to anyone and everyone who can but a ticket.

They certainly do attract a lot of families. Those families have children. Do you think little Tommy and Sally are up partying at 3 a.m.?

Actually, I am 27 though I might be considered old by folks at the Entourage. I promise I look young though! In fact, when I was on the Breakaway a month back, the gentleman at O'Sheehans actually check my room key to make sure I was 18 as it was after midnight!!

Age 7, 27, 47, 67 or 87, is it such a terrible thing to hope for some quietness at 3am in the morning? Like 3kidsncats said, there are other venues to party at like Spice H2O, Bliss Lounge, O'Sheehans, casino (you will have to play though), and other happening spots.

And umm, I wanna think at 3am, party people rather be at Bliss Lounge, O'Sheehans, or maybe even the casino to hang out than in some random person's room with a relatively small hot tub...that is if the butler would even host a party at 3am lol.

We had an experience with loud, partying neighbors the first night and next day, we saw them in the bar (we had said hello the first day on board), I sent over drinks for them all and then went over and introduced myself. Took the opportunity to mention how loud they were the night before and asked if they could bring their quiet voices back to the cabin at night so "us old folks could get our sleep".

Rest of the trip was very quiet.

Not saying it will work every time either. Just did for us on this trip.

It sounds like they were probably nice people who just hadn't considered that the neighbours were so close.

There is nothing wrong with contacting the front desk about sending a security officer to your neighbors... heck us real cops get those types of calls all the time. I would agree that it's vacation and to allow some of it to go on for a while within reason... but at 3am I don't care if you are on vacation.... I want to sleep and do not want to be woken up unless there is a "Code Bravo" (fire) called out over the PA system.

Sounds like they were reasonable folks that probably forgot their inside voice is decibels higher than the 'acceptable' inside voice.

I agree. The "being on vacation" mindset is great but a line needs to be drawn for sure and that is that one doesn't party loudly in their room at 3am in the morning. Sometimes I feel that calling security officer might be better as perhaps people are more likely to listen to a uniformed personnel (or take their request seriously).

Half if they're my size.

I'm 6'4" tall and didn't even bother trying it. My wife is more normal height and couldn't get her shoulders under w/o her knees sticking out. It's size was a little disappointing actually. -That now sounds bad but I'll leave it as it made me laugh.

Perfect example, on my next Cruise I am booked in a spa suite with a hot tub that's party central. On are we dance official site they even have in the job description of the butler one of the things he can do is organize a party in your room if you have a lot of friends on the cruise. If the room was not meant for partying and why would that be one of the Butlers official job descriptions? Its either the or concierge I cannot remember for certain lol. But it was one of them

Aren't you the guy who kept having goes at people who want to stay in their cabin? I quote- I go on cruises to enjoy the ship, not stay in a cabin. Who does that? So by your logic these passengers should be partying on the ship to have a good time not in their cabins.

It's a bath tub with a couple of holes noisily pumping out air. There is no room for a party or central in these cabins as other have said.

Also like - even though it seems to be making the poor guy look confused.

On a different note, I have to wonder about all the references to "3 am in the morning" --- is there another 3 am?

They were very young (not that that matters) and acted like they were on spring break but your right, they were nice and understanding. You don't see that out of our youth a lot anymore.

I don't mind loud noises in the cabin but at 3am the people should be respectful to others at that time. There are plenty of public places to be loud and not disturb people in cabins next to yours. I don't mind people having a good time in their cabin being loud and you know doing what they like to do[emoji6] but please be considerate of others that late in the night.
