First impressions of the Presidents cruise

It's a party. They had a fabulous Caribbean band in the terminal to entertain us, they put down red carpeting and flowers in the gangway, champagne to greet us. We boarded around 1145. Pinnacles first then suite guests diamond plus etc.

They are having tons of acts including a live band playing in the promenade.

Currently in the suite lounge and it is packed. They have some buffet items and new desserts

We also just boarded the Allure as well. The mood and environs are wonderfully festive. I agree - the live Carib band and performers were a very nice touch. The complimentary champagne is absolutely flowing on the Promenade where there are at least a dozen happy servers.

Slight hiccup at check in. We were gushed over and thanked for our loyalty up until I pointed out we were not the Pinnacles whose names were on the Seapasses presented to us. The error was quickly fixed and they embarrassingly sent us on our way. Made for a good laugh.

Now hanging out and people watching in the packed Champagne Bar waiting for our stateroom to be ready.

Enjoy your cruise!

If you speak to any execs, is it possible to gain some insight on the Anthem Dynamic Dining change to traditional/mytime. We were looking to a new and different cruising experience as we are tired of the same old (dining, stuck in same venue, food, cuisines, fly on acts, parades, belly flop, love and marriage).

If they are indeed going to switch it based on feedback, can't they wait until next year when people can more easily change if they'd like based on the newly (old) offered experience compared to the dynamic one we booked?

The live flowers are striking. Huge gorgeous bouquet presentations throughout the Promenade.

Seapasses that have a silver geometric sticker indicate successful registration for the Patti Labelle concert on Day 4 in the Amber theater. Overflow seating will be in the Aquatheater and Studio B via the large screen TVs.

I am sure with the large amount of ca members it will be brought up. I'll pay attention

The nightly D/D+ event was held in Blaze on Deck 4. Crowded but not as crowded as expected. Hor d'oeuvres spread was gone by 6 and never replenished. Entrance wasn't "policed" so non-diamonds could easily come and go. Met some really nice people. The mood is still decisively festive. Uncertain if we'll return to Blaze as there are other venues to visit. And there really is no reason to eat before dinner.

It does feel strange to not be in the DL or have access to it.

CEO Hayley will be hosting a special "interactive" session with passengers in the Amber theater on Day 3 I believe. Im sure someone will ask the DD question then.

Pinnacle guests were given priority boarding over Suite guest? So Suite guest had to wait for those with Pinnacle stays to board??

Please ask Michael Bayley when RCCL plans to ban SMOKING in the Casino. Could you please let us know if Mr Bayley enters the Casino and how much SMOKING was going on and how many were activity playing or just SMOKING. Could you point out the non playing smokers in the Casino using the Casino for a smoking room.

As soon as Mr. Bayley and I get done SMOKING while not gambling I'll ask him....

He said it was only something he would discuss with you in person. Damn, troykahack, you missed your shot to push your personal agenda.

I, however, just about have him convinced to change policy about not being able to smoke on balconies. If I can get that pushed thru, I'm going for the home run and having them completely swap policies. There will be small designated non-smoking areas, in order to leave them you MUST light a cigarette. Fingers crossed, troykahack, fingers crossed...my personal agenda pushing is proceeding as planed.
