What does DH stand for?

I see a lot of posts referencing DH. I figured out that it refers to your cabin mate, but I can not figure out what it stands for. Deck hand comes to mind, but I don't think my wife would appreciate being called my deck hand. What does DH stand for? (Stupid question from CC newbie :))

Dear; darling; dumb; doting; ditzy; (insert favorite "d" word here) husband.

Found in the Cruise Critic FAQ's:

http://boards.cruisecritic.com/faq.php?faq=vb3_reading_posting#faq_acronyms

If this is all new to the OP certainly googling 'message board acronyms' would also find a wealth of information.

Thanks! But what does OP mean... that's not on the list.

Also somebody called me PAX recently, I assume it's something like passenger? Any ideas? :')

Sort of funny!

Someone once posted on CC (Cruise Critic) wanting to know who this DH person was who seemed to cruise with lots of different women. :D

It's Bill W something. And he's on a lot of my cruises and seems to always have quite a lot of friends along with him.

Similar applies to DW, same idea only Wife[emoji6]

DD. Dear Daughter, etc

SIL. Son in Law,etc

DB Dear Brother, etc

IMO. In My Opinion( Could be IMHO for us humble folks[emoji41])

Gets Confusing with TA. Depends on context. Travel Agent or Trans-Atlantic.

Usually, Travel Agent uses capital letters: TA

whereas transatlantic uses lower case letters: ta

To the OP

DH For me

Dear Husband

Because when I ask him to get something right in front of his face and he cannot find it......................

DUH, would be more appropriate.

Duh!

But only offered 2 letters so I shortend it to DH
