Everything.. Norwegian BLISS! - launch April 2018 -

Recommended Posts

We just booked on Bliss the other day, sailing March 23, 2019 out of Miami. I am super excited and can't wait for the first cruise of Bliss to set sail on April 21st and TheDougOut's live posting to start!

I can't be the only one greatly anticipating that thread starting!

Will TheDougOut post the info on this thread OR is there a separate one they post on? (I'm new to this - but have been following for some time. My cruise isn't until 6-2-2019) Thanks.

The Bliss will be christened in downtown Seattle, Washington, Bell Street Terminal on Saturday June 2nd.

I had heard it was scheduled for May 30th. Followed by a short promotional cruise for the media.

Wow...

Thanks for the photos! It doesn't appear that the plexiglass on the casino floor in the 2nd photo goes floor to ceiling so maybe the casino isn't as walled in as some of us had hoped and there will still be smoke going up this mini atrium.

It was my understanding that a majority of the casino (what you can see in this image) is non-smoking, and that the smaller smoke hot box is off to a side area.

The plexiglass you’re seeing is the half-height wall barrier around the open atrium (green area). Smoking is in the red area.

Thanks! Can’t imagine that the smoking crowd will be happy squeezed into just that small section.

Wonder how quickly the walls will come down and smoking will be allowed in the whole casino when Casino profits are low compared to the other ships.

I don’t see it happening. It looks to be a substantial section, and the more vocal gripes I’ve seen have been from non-smokers concerned about the good action being inside the cloud.

NCL knows they scored a big win with this. It’s a top complaint in prior BA and BA+ ships.

It does look like a substantial section. We are just off the Escape and they recently added some large air purifiers which helped somewhat but not entirely. The 'non-smoking' area on Escape is perhaps a third the size of the Bliss smoking area.

They don’t have to stay in there all the time, just while they want to smoke while they are gambling! I’m hoping all the luck is outside that room!

This is our 9th cruise but first on NCL. The ships look first rate but the website and booking are unbelievably screwed up. I just went on the website to book some additional excursions and they have gone from 50+ to 18...I don't comprehend??? Most of our cruises have been on Princess or Carnival and their website is a 10 compared to NCL, a 0. Not sure booking this cruise was good idea. Hoping for the best.:confused:

You can go to the main websites and look at excursions for each port. When you log into your account you will see what is still available. The ones not listed might be sold out if it's close to your sail date. I didn't notice when your sail date is.

The Bliss has arrived in Bremerhaven. The hand over ceremony is scheduled for noon.

Some people boarded already yesterday in Eemshaven. The rest will board today. I´m on my way...
